    My girlfriend's recliner is blue. Will any color of recliner work?

      As long is has a good floral pattern, it should work.

      You could easily loose sight of your blued gun with a blue background. I would suggest pastel colors. 🤣

    word to the wise, that gorilla epoxy is stronger than the wood, so if you think you might wanna change them in future dont use that. Instead you could put a drop of walnut oil in the holes with the q tip and that will soak in and swell slightly and protect the wood over time. Gorilla is the way to go if you know you never want to take them out.

    I use dish soap and i screw the studs as tight as possible with an allen key, been using my rifle for almost a decade for hunting and the studs still look like they where put yesterday.

    I installed mine with loctite maxx construction adhesive. We will see how it holds up. Should be rock solid for the next 20-30 years. But this appoxy ahould last longer than the stock. These methods should be able to repair one that has stripped out as well.

    Tip: When working on screws, pins, etc on the gun. Take masking tape and use a hole punch, punch a hole in the tape and place the hole in the tape over the screw. Hole, or pin etc. Protects finsh especially on the blued steel..

    The constant twisting of my neoprene sling worked the screw out of the stock. Would the Gorilla epoxy secure the screw from coming out again? I don't plan on using the same sling. Thanks for making this video!

      If it stripped the thread in the hole then you need to drill a new hole at least 10-15mm away from the old one and fill the old hole with a wood putty or a dowel plug.

      @@SurmaSampo The hole appears not to be stripped and the screw grabs. I have some new Grovtec parts pack with screws that are just a tad longer without the pointed tip that I just might use instead with some added epoxy for insurance. I appreciate the reply and tips. Thank you and have a good day!

    I like how you left a piece of tape on the stock anyway. Attention to detail 👍

    Did U watch your video ? U left some blue tape ?

  • @glasshammer291
    @glasshammer291 3 года назад +1

    That's a lot of material you added to the hole with the amount of epoxy you added. Could make the hole to tight to re-accept the screw and split the wood.

      No.

      @jost4897 3 года назад +1

      Unlikely, however the bigger issue could be the excess epoxy spilling out of the hole and covering the wood.

    Would you take $1,000 for that rifle? My dad had the same one handed down 2 generations, and it was stolen. Would love to buy from you.

    Does this man not know that you are spoda countersink the white washer?
    There is a tool for this.
    And why doesn't he tell us that you are spoda turn the screw backwards into the channel until it drops into the existing threads before you screw it in? Udderwise you might cut new threads in the wood and make it weaker?
    This is all BEGINNER BASIC STUFF that is overlooked here.
    Duh-uh?
    "How To" videos are great, but you should have your stuff packed tighter than this before you make one.
    I'm just sayin'
