VitaminDee is a Pensacola, Florida native who has fishing deep in his roots!
Growing up fishing inshore, offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, creeks, bayous, lakes and more. Fishing for a large variety of species including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder Sheepshead, King & Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Wahoo, MahiMahi, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, Red Snapper, Trigger Fish, Gag Grouper, Scampi Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Bonito and more!
Traveling south to catch species like snook, tarpon, mutton snapper, yellow tail snapper, barracuda and more!
On this channel you will notice that we like to switch things up and do a little bass fishing also! Catching lots of pan fish like blue gill, stump knocker -war mouth, long eared sun fish and more! Not to forget about those tasty crappie!

I built a pier buddy in mid 90s for the Sunshine Skyway pier in Tampa, FL. We would ride our bikes out towing the cart. OH, the spanish mackerel we would catch. I was tying my own flies and we would run with the schools up and down the pier.

its good youre interacting with the youngins and keeping them inspired.. maybe i'll see you out there when i come down again in july though pier fishing not my thing because of how crowded it gets.. isnt it necessary to bleed them before putting on ice? was wondering how to go about that on pier fishing.. having a bleed bucket and a chest of ice separate for catches?
Bleeding the fish out isn’t necessary, but a lot of ppl do it because they say it makes the fish taste less fishy. I don’t mind eating them even if they aren’t bled out. I guess everyone has their preference.

I’m not 100% sure. But I wouldn’t assume so. FWC walks the piers along the coast on occasion and checks for fishing licenses and makes sure that everyone are only keeping legal fish. 🤙

What’s the best time to go fish off the pier
Believe it or not, fishing can be good all day long. But the feeding times for fish tend to occur around sun rise and sunset or when the tides are changing.

How do you not get tangled in others' lines with ya'll so close. Yr like sardines all bunched together on the pier. Can you take yr boat out and fish just out of range of the pier fisherman's lines?
We have to maintain a certain distance from the pier when fishing from a boat/vessel.
What does the double red flags mean?
Means you can’t even enter the water, basically dangerous conditions like rip tides etc.
