Yes, you can feel that chemistry when Todd clocked Tea with a closed fist, or when he kicked her out naked in a snow storm, or when they had ocean sex that was so mind blowing, he couldn’t stop thinking about Blair afterwards. I bet he called out Blair’s name during the ocean sex too 😂 Let’s face it, Todd and Tea were more like kissing cousins than passionate lovers.
"If you want me to stop you just let me know" They way Roger says those lines is magnificent, one of his greatest moments, imo. You can feel both the sadness and shame he has towards his past, yet the determination and will to fight that past and be a normal man.So superb,Roger and his character he created were truly one of the brightest spots in daytime.
It's times like these, that I was so glad Rebecca was out of the picture-she was too naive for Todd and Blair was needed to take him now to the next level
These 2 were already in love and didn't know it. The way Blair looks at him when she tells him how much he's going to love her apartment, and the way he looks at her. Definitely love!
@@Justicia007how bout at the penthouse when he starts to leave when blair makes a move & he stops she turns away waiting to see what he does. Him taking his coat off was so subtle but better than most explicit love scenes. U knew he was done doubting & was ready. Loved him saying if he wanted her to stop let him know. Blair says nothing. Shes not gonna say no. This must have been so refreshing after rebeccas religious sermons & push pull with him. Blairs all woman & on his level. Love it!
In my opinion, they were already too close as friends to use each other for sex and not feel anything afterward. Todd pretended that he didn't feel anything because he knew it was what Blair wanted, but he was just hiding what he really felt (just like he always did). Blair may not have been as attached to him, but she definately had feelings that went past friendship. She proves that by wanting to detach herself from him afterward from a fear of being too obvious about her infidelity.
@bawoman ICAM...without his brilliant delivery those words could easily have been empty. RH masterfully conveys Todd's need to say them & his struggle w/ the shame of having to. Heartbreaking. Oh and I love that he admits he's not in control. It's evident in Blair's forwardness & his awkwardness, but saying it is so important in differentiating this experience from the rape. Also, I adore KDP throughout...Blair's own desperation is palpable & her quiet patience & understanding is beautiful.
So much compassion in her eyes for him. I just wish she understood herself better and she would have known from the beginning that men like cord and Max would never be enough for her.
kassie is brilliant in these scenes, so multi-layered. roger is too, but y'all already mentioned that :) together they are so believable, so tragic and so very sexy. but above all, these two misfits make us believe it's possible to change. pure magic!
I get why todd was so nervous w/ blair overtly wanting him.he wanted her as well but todd kept sex & his feelings very seperate. He was a player no problem w/ sex judging by how he no problem took marty up on her offer of sex their consenual time. Comments were made like zack reminding him of their college glory days how he got so many girls. I dont know if he raped carol swift as he never listed her over the years as one of his sins which he was open about. That sitiation i think may have been todd pressuring carol & she didnt say yes or no. She talked about how she was very attracted to him they got drunk danced he took her to his room & she said todd wouldnt " stop" i think carol never said no & todd pressured her. Is that rape ? Its a tough call. She may have wanted todd to like date her & thought if she slept w/ him theyd be an item. People sometimes get remorse for having sex w/ someone they like but arent ready. I mean if she was screaming no or stop them consent is clear. Todd never said he raped anyone else but marty. I believe the character as he was brutally honest after marty about all his sins. Plus todd suddenly became a gang rapist at 21? The motivations for martys rape were very clear. Rage power & control.
Ahhh, RH's acting choices-he brings so many layers to Todd-you can see how unsure he is around women, yet outwardly the tough guy, that's why Podd falls so flat for me-he has no vulnerability while he's sexing up everyone in Llanview-ugh
those lines make me almost uncomfortable watching them, like i feel i shouldnt be listening to their intimate conversations-thats some great writing and acting
I remember early todd fans & todd & rebecca fans hated todd with blair. I never understood why. Also as another commenter said they are way past the sex with a stranger thing. They had been building their relationship as freinds for close to 6 months. Blair did do a lot for him so she must have cared a lot & this was when he was poor. She played the most pathetic contest. She went off on Marty to give todd his alibi. She visited him when he was falsely accused of attacking rebecca. She saved his life when Powell stabbed him & visited in the hospital. She distracted Todd's prison guard so he could find rebecca. Obviously blair really cared about him & her pretending the sex with him did not mean anything was bull. It did & I think she was scared of getting attached to todd plus cord was the safer choice plus he was stable H had money being a Buchanan. Blair was out for the $$ & that's why she did not want to become a couple with todd but she also enjoyed spending time with him. Oh how I wish she never lied about the baby to trick him. Todd felt blair was always honest with him bc he would not judge her. When they were married until the lie came out he treated blair like gold. I dont think he ever trusted blair or anyone again even though he loved her. I think blair hindered his growth bc his biggest fear was trusting someone & she took that trust away.
Poor Todd...he was soooo nervous and awkward here. I think he was struggling with self control. Afraid he would mess up again or afraid of hurting Blair. But Blair was never really afraid of Todd. He did some awful things to her but she always came back.
Blair similarly complimented 2 of her other husbands (Victor and Eli) but Todd was the one she loved the most. With Max she looked really happy after a few of their encounters. lol. Love the scene where she's gushing about Max on the morning after and opens her eyes to find Todd sitting on her bed, listening.
@bjujubee It's awesome that you loaded these but it is sad to see what they have done to this character. RH played him with so much menance and pain early on, even here. I don't blame him for wanting to stay true to the character but soap opera writers aren't always the best ones. But I am a GH fan as wel and hate what Guza did to the history there too. The early 2001/2002 Todd was camp and he did it great but not the same. I started watching again for no other reason but RH. Charisma.
He is incredibly charismatic! Todd may have changed a lot over the years and acted out of character from the earlier Todd, but the acting was always amazing.
@bawoman - YES! You really hit the nail on the head with that comment! I LOVED that line. Humanizes him, and at the same time, makes use see that he is uncomfortable with what he has done. Brilliantly delivered by Roger.
@laurelnroses lol i know. i was just joking. thats why i said jk. i know blair enjoyed the way todd put it on her, if she didnt she wouldnt of came back so many times. i mean after all theyve done to each other, the love is there there so, that already answers my rhetorical question. :)!!!!!!
I just love love love T&B the chemistry is unmatched ❤

These two beautiful, sexy actors were fabulous in these scenes and the writing and music were excellent, too.
There was an amazing on-screen chemistry between Todd and Blair from day one.

I agree with this. They were both halfway in love with one another but not admitting it
