993 prices are so good right now. If someone spent $100k in maintenance and storage on any 993 they are still coming out ahead in this market. 993s are probably the hottest flavor besides the slant nose right now. I can’t blame anyone tho. I love the 993 air cooled plus with coach work builders like Singer and Gunther Werks these are only more desirable.
This is just another level, brings the vehicle to the actual 'ideal state' that every buyer aspires to someday own. The investment up front instantly pays for itself, and having the service done AND having the video documentation you provide to back it up only adds to the prominence at auction and future value. You're saving these cars and starting the next owner on a path of HAVING to keep it in the best shape they can to preserve and enjoy at the same time
@@James_Sovereign It actually makes it very clear where exactly the leaks are and how bad it it. It takes almost no time for a leak to show up when its cleaned up like this. I always wonder why people tend to look at the side of this that's truly opposite of why they do this. This allows you to know, with confidence, what's happening under the hood of your car
Is it weird that that this video helps me in keeping mental health? It’s satisfying as if it’s my body that’s getting cleaned especially my polluted mind.
I paid a "professional detailer" $650 for interior and exterior detailing. Mind you guy has a business with website and pictures . Well he did a terrible job. I still paid him in full but that was the first and last I give him business. On exterior gas door compartment still was left dirty. I lifted head rest and it was still dirty underneath. He took two days to work on my car and was not rushed.
Sorry, but I've learned a hard way, one should do absolutely nothing before selling the car. It won't contribute to the price. Whether car is in alright technical condition any kind of visible preps won't increase it's value. One can pay 10k for such work, and in the best case scenario pass 5k tops to the purchaser. It's always better to leave it as is, and give that kind of room for bargaining. Especially when it comes to cars like 993 or any other vintage porsche nowdays.
Does anybody know if this can be done in the UK. I really do like the idea of jacking up the car and cleaning all the surface rust off of the underside components
They're not cleaning rust off, they're blasting all the factory engine /gearbox protection off (cosmoline) ...that will look like crap in a few years , they shouldn't touch these parts.
Meanwhile I go to the local car wash to get my car "detailed" , I'm like so what did you do again with my car? Detailer: I put wax & armorall over all the dirt stuck onto your car...
I buy a ton of cars. People are so cheap. They won’t even take them to a five dollar washer wipe them down before I come look. I think that’s a huge mistake. It cost you money I would pay more if the car was cleaned because I’m gonna immediately have to have it detailed cleaned and spend days clean it and it stinks.
You're blasting all the factory engine protection (Cosmoline) off !! Looks great now but in a few years that alloy will be white with corrosion. So you do that and then you cover it back up with the under trays !! wtf what a waste of time and energy.
Where ya from Stephen? It’s been answered many times before and it seems you have stumbled upon two specific builds where we didnt show reapplication of waxoyl. We are based in Southern California, and we work almost exclusively on collector cars. Cars that are low miles and will live out their days in climate controlled garages. Many times, owners come to us and don’t want reapplication of cosmoline, but we always reapply protective wax to the sensitive parts of the car, regardless if we’re reapplying a full coat of waxoyl / cosmoline. Often, we are stripping the cosmoline, verifying condition for the sale of the car, and applying a new modern coating that works, and looks, better before the car goes up for sale. I hope that has answered your question
@@IAMDetailing Scotland ! Completely different climate and I wasn't aware you re-applied waxoyl..sorry. Such a shame these cars don't get used..criminal in my opinion.
Do this before you sell your car, really? Well for starters, this does not apply to a normal everyday car. You cannot expect to return the investment you put in into this definitely-not-cheap detailing.
I think it’s pretty clear who we’re talking to here: collector car owners. But every car would benefit. You don’t have to take it to a top detailing shop to reap the benefits. A little elbow grease goes a long way, especially with the online sales market
I love and watch your videos but I'm sorry, not everyone is selling a $250,000 car to justify paying someone like you $10K to clean and detail a car before selling. Not practical advise. Maybe you were targeting your wealthy clients.
You're totally right. While a large portion of our clients are preparing their classics for sale and wanting top dollar, the premise is the same for someone selling a more affordable car. You don't have to necessarily pay someone to do this work when you could take the time yourself and really dive in to deep cleaning your car if you wanted to get more for your money. It's all just a time investment, whether that's us doing it, or doing it yourself. We do have some special tools like dry ice cleaning ready at our disposal, but for many of the other processes, you'd be surprised at how far you can really go on your own and how much easier it will be to sell your car, even if its just an average daily driver.
I want to dry ice clean my entire life.
Same
I can’t tell if the Porsche guys or the detail guys are more enthusiastic about this project.
Well done. Both groups are pleased with this one.

Totally agree! I was looking at the prices of 993s recently and was totally blown away by their jump in value over the last several years
HEY
10 YEARS AGO I VE SEEN AN ADVERT BY A FOOL WHO WAS SELLING HIS 993 CABRIO FOR 17 000
NOW IT CAN BE SOLD 49 000
If i had 993..i wouldn't be selling it
Best comment ever! 😷
Never seen dry ice cleaning..what a fabulous method. A truly sensational job of detailing!!
Me either!!! Kinda dig it, total satisfying watching this being done.
Thank you Colin! We’re glad to have you watching!
You made it brand new. This is my dream car since I was a child.
993 turbo is an icone , love this car !
Forever a beauty
The work you do Jake is a "Need" not a "Want". If it's not being done, an owner only has themselves to blame. Carry on boys! 🏁🏁🏁
Thanks Peter!
DELUSIONAL!
What does that even mean?
Absolutely incredible work. I can watch this and Bill Burr all day.
Gotta love Bill!
I like this care, as if you were taking care of your children, a beautiful and amazing work
That means a ton for us to hear :)
You guys take pride in your work.
I'm glad that shows in the video :)
This is the best detailing shop I’ve seen the work they do is somewhere between detailing and restoration.
One real luftgekuelt porsche who lost his 26 years virginity with you guys 🤩🇺🇸 great moment , can t have enough of it ❤you rock 🤘 keep pushing 😍
Thank you Francis!
That is the perfect 911 spoiler

Amen! Thanks for the support buddy!
AND it hides all the oil leaks from the prospective buyer!
@@James_Sovereign if you mean 'preps for further application of the Porsche anti-corrosion system' then YES

Excellent. 😎👊🏻🔨
🤙!
Like glass just clearer!
You know it!
Amazing 👏🙂
the best there is
I'll take 2.
Save me one ;)
After doing this I would keep the car.
Better than factory fresh 👍👌😎
Not for long though cos they just blasted all the factory protection off.
Porsche engines lay so weird. Instead of vertical, they lay laterally. But it works.
Unreal
What kind of blaster do you use? Is it sand or water or glass?
Dry ice cleaning machine - coldjet pcs60

Sold
Wow very cool would you share you dry icing unit Thank!
Glad you like it! We use the Coldjet PCS60 for our main dry ice cleaning unit
@@IAMDetailing Thanks for responding do you know if this ice bladting lieves some textures in aluminum like sona blasting does
What’s up with the blue one next to this one? Video coming soon?
maybe next week? ;)
@@IAMDetailing Sweet!
😁goodjob car like. 👏
Definitely pay someone to do it for you and then sell it. If you see it or do it yourself you’ll want to keep it. LOL!

What would something like this run? Cost-wise?
I always do that be 4 selling my cars

what is the averagfe cost more or less to clean
Woauuuuuu !!! 💯💯👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is why you can't trust your eyes. You must have a documented history for big ticket items.
I wouldn't sell my car if it turned out like this after detailing.. Lol
Incredible look great
Gotta get top dollar and you do that by making it look sick!
Why would I do this if I was thinking of selling? I would consider it if I were keeping the car and enjoy it myself.
Meanwhile I go to the local car wash to get my car "detailed" , I'm like so what did you do again with my car?
Detailer: I put wax & armorall over all the dirt stuck onto your car...
🤣😅
Where do you buy your cone shaped polishing pads that you use for the Dremel on the inside of the door handles?
You can get them over at our friends @detaildivision detail-division.com/collections/polishing-pads
Camry market value is $5,000. Costs for detailing like this $4,000.
This is truly jaw dropping...!!! How long will the underside stay like that assuming 5000 miles a year...?
one year. maybe two depending on external conditions
3 minutes.
What’s the name of that leather cleaner at 9:40?
P&S Professional Interior Cleaner
Or sometimes Swissvax
Is it just me? Does Jacob look like Ryan Goseling? Lol…
Not just you LOL I've been saying he's Ryan's Czech Cousin for a long time
Are you sand blasting, wouldnt u worry about getting sand in your components?
We’re use dry ice
What does all this cost?
$1k~
I see this and what comes to my mind is bare metal re exposed to corrosion
No comments....
Yeah because everyone has a $5000 lift and $10000 ice blaster in our garage…
No way ….. Absolutely no way …. No thanks …. I’m not selling
I tend to have a similar sentiment.. When they're done it's like "HOW could I have EVER considered selling?!"

Because why do it for yourself to enjoy, do it so someone else does. Yep sounds right.....
Cars ...densel Washington ?
Not this one! But we did denzel’s 993 a while back ;)
just ruined the rear lights! Why people don't understand that acrylic can't be polished
This is OK, but could you make a bit faster?
if you do that you are not going to sell the car 🤣
If i c a car this old look this clean....i run
! A ny leaks, seeps etc is not shown. All this reveals is dings.
Spend $500 or more detailing and not get it back when selling it doesn't make sense,,, put it through a car wash and call it a day 🤦💁
There’s a reason some of the most trusted sellers on BAT bring their cars to us before they go for sale. The proof is in the pudding
Don't do this. Don't push alien material into places it shouldn't go.
This will rust now
