Wow, wow, wow! Love this. Helen Godden makes machine quilting attainable to everyone. I love her take on feathers! Can not wait to try this at my machine. And here I thought I was the only one who auditioned quilting designs in the shower. Love it!
Excellent! Thank-you
Fabulous ideas, thank you from a fellow Aussie
Thank you Helen. Great tutorial

Never seen this concert before. It’s wonderful, thanks Helen
I enjoyed your feather tutorial; but I really love your silver leaves bracelet. I think you should quilt it!
Love to get my feathers looking like yours. Have to practice more and your video has given me incentive to try again. Thank you
Thanks!! I love the way you teach!
Thank you for your tips. Love the variety of shapes. Time to practice!
This was absolutely wonderful. I've tried practicing on paper and fabric, just have to keep doing it. I appreciate this lots!!!!
Brilliant idea putting the angled marks to help direct the stitching. I’ve been trying for a few years to draw feathers, but always ended up looking like that first feather you did. I think this may help a lot! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Спасибо большое!Все очень понятно и доступно и, конечно, КРАСИВО, ПРОФЕССИОНАЛЬНО!Здоровья Вам и творческих успехов
This is brilliant. You offer some really helpful tips that I have never seen offered before. I love the variations you work towards. Helps keep from making the process too repetative.
Brilliant
Wonderful explanation and love the variety.
Wonderful! Thank you sooooo much!
Wow.... You are SUCH an inspiration! :D
Super Great little tutorial! I will try it soon.
I get bored doing the same feather in my borders, so I usually changed after every 3 or 4. Looks better than the same all around. Love your variations
Thank you so much, a most useful tutorial which I can’t wait to practice.
Love Helen’s idea of boundaries to show me where to go and where to stop. Never thought of that.
Fantastic work! Very impressed.
Helen, all I can say is, your AWESOME!
I love your videos! I can't wait to try feathers now! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I notice that you don't use quilting gloves to help you move the fabric. Is there something on the plate of your machine to help the fabric glide?
thank you
Really great demo! Still hoping I will get good at this. Cheers, I’m from W.A. 😊🥰😍❤️😘
OH I love that re the shower screen, I doodle all the time on the screen, flowers and all sorts of things, must practise my paisleys now :D
Love it!
How cool! What is that pencil you are using?
You mentioned painting your fabric. What kind of paints and fabric do you use? You have given me hope in my free motion efforts. Thank you so much!
Thank you great tips!
ust Wonderful-The best example ever!!!!J
Thank you for lessons! I love your koala on back wall! Is it quilt or painting?
Great tutorial.....But....Where did you find that pencil marker that peels back with the thread? I heard you say you can iron it off. Please reply.
Hello and thank you for this tutorial - it seems so easy and I will certainly try to get better with feathers your way! I also love the koala quilt on the wall behind you! Is there a pattern for it? Looking forward to your next video, lots of greetings from Germany 👋😘
Amazing! How are you quilting while using both hands holding material?
Practice Practice and mark.
Two questions. ------One: You move your hands and your pedal speed very fast. Should a beginner try to go that fast at first, or is that just because you have so much experience? When I try it fast, my stitches come out all different lengths. -------Two: I wondered if there is another way to practice off the sewing machine. You and other instructors talk about drawing on paper to build muscle memory, but since you control the "pen" (the needle) on paper, but when sewing you are controlling the "paper," (the fabric), the actions are totally opposite. To practice with pen and paper to be of any help, you would have to have someone hold a pen like a needle, in mid-air, while you moved the paper around underneath it. Is there any other way to practice that is more like actual free-motion sewing?
Спасибо.❤
Does this machine have a stitch regulator?
There is one available, but I do not think she is using it.
