Oh, no. Not the last one! You are an inspiration and I LOVE watching how you create/quilt. Because I also have a Sweet Sixteen, your videos, tips, and explanations are invaluable to me. Thanks, Helen. Let's do more!
I loved watching you quilt on your Sweet Sixteen. Your quilting is stunning. You make it look so easy. While have tried many times to quilt at a sit down machine which resulted in a lot of neck pain I am able to use my new Amara with no problem. And everything I just learned watching you transfers so easily to a midarm machine. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
My jaw just dropped.....that is sooo Brilliant Helen! Truly amazing work, and you stitch so fast! Thankyou for sharing what I think are truly works of art...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰🎄🎄🎄🎄
If I could afford it I would follow you everywhere you offer classes!! Have never seen anything like your work and all without moving and cutting thread for each little area. Amazing. You prove that it is ok to have threads cross over each other. Thank you, thank you.
Such a pleasure to watch you build a quilt. Magnificent work, so artistic and creative!! Your love of design shows thru your enthusiasm for your work. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
How fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed that Helen. This Kiwi thanks you wholeheartedly for the fantastic inspiration. I would love to see more videos like this.
So fascinating to watch! Absolutely love this. You make quilting - even micro quilting - fun! Love the effect of the metallic marker on black fabric, too. Who knew? Can't wait to try some of these techniques. Thank you, Handiquilter and Helen Godden!
Love these episodes! Since I have this machine, I can always practice your techniques easily. It helps my Sweetie be even more fun to use, plus we are getting really good results. A total win-win for me! Keep teaching, Helen! I love it!
Love this Helen. This is very similar to the painting I’ve been doing in my Aboriginal art group. I can’t wait to try doing something similar on my Simply16. It will be fun to combine quilting with designs from my Aboriginal heritage.
Hello Wendy. Glad you like it. I have a strong connection with indigenous Australian art. My husband lived in central Australia for his childhood so it is a big part of our life.
Your Kangaroo is so cute and beautiful like you. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with everybody. I would like to make it one day, hopefully soon.
This is awesome. Just scrolling through and came upon this episode. As far as your funny accent, it's one of my favorites! I cant wait to get out to my quilt shed and try this on my Tin Lizzie. Thank you so much for this beautiful class. From Tyler Texas USA........crikey!
Helen, As the other viewers, I am also a fan. I understand you are Handi Quilters Sweet 16 Ambassador, but are there similiar videos using the great Handi Quilter stand up frame models?
The group at Handi Quilter all try to squire them. Gradually they each have a little piece of HG original. I sell many small works on my Facebook page Helen Godden Quilts. Randomly I just offer something for sale and it’s the first person to comment SOLD makes the purchase. Usually a small piece is around $150AU
I am also interested in brand type and weight of your thread. I have been using glide but it really doesnt show the quilting all that well as it somewhat gets buried. Also the metalic sharpie is gorgeous! would it stand up to a wash perhaps?
It is a quick way to trace and gives a thicker line to outline stitch. It means you don’t need to stitch over the outline numerous times to give it impact. It also means for a less confident Quilter, even if their quilting patterns are not terrific, the strong design still stands out and makes sense as an image.
AWESOME quilting machine! Loving it!
A great inspirational video, lots of tips for the design features, thanks.
Helen you are a great teacher and extremely inspirational.
Thankyou from Northern Ireland.
Wow, thank you!
Beautiful work 😍!! Thank you 😊.

It can be a challenge to keep me quiet.

Took me at three episodes to notice the wee kangaroo shadow in the window! I’ve been loving this series!
Beautiful. I want to see the finished piece. I’m always so inspired watching your videos. Thank you
Hopefully the finished piece will be posted soon.
So fun! I never thought of using metallic Sharpies on dark fabric. I'll give it a try!
I am full of new ideas.

Accent? What accent! Lol Happy quilting.
Amazing how you do it so easily
Fabulous! Want to see your finished 🦘 please!
Heaps cool Helen 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Sou do Brasil! Gostei muito! Obrigada!
Amazing!
Great !
Your designs remind me of the aborigine prints I’ve found on some fabrics made in Australia. I love aborigine inspired prints.
I have a deep love of our indigenous art in Australia.
I dream of doing something like this. Can’t imagine trying to do it on a big quilt though
Start small and gradually get bigger. It is totally possible.
Helen, As the other viewers, I am also a fan. I understand you are Handi Quilters Sweet 16 Ambassador, but are there similiar videos using the great Handi Quilter stand up frame models?
There are loads of videos on Handi Quilter you tube channel. Try jamie Wallen’s videos.
Love watching your videos! So much inspiration to play with. One question? what do you do with all the pieces that you create while teaching us?
The group at Handi Quilter all try to squire them. Gradually they each have a little piece of HG original. I sell many small works on my Facebook page Helen Godden Quilts. Randomly I just offer something for sale and it’s the first person to comment SOLD makes the purchase. Usually a small piece is around $150AU
Did I miss the part where you said what type and weight of thread you use ? Love all of your video's... hugs from Florida.
I am also interested in brand type and weight of your thread. I have been using glide but it really doesnt show the quilting all that well as it somewhat gets buried. Also the metalic sharpie is gorgeous! would it stand up to a wash perhaps?
Yes. Sharpies are permanent.
Sew fun!
Watching 2021, I’m from Perth. WA. Love your work, have been watching this series. So how many designs do you have in the kangaroo .
What thread are you using when you micro quilt? How are you threading the machine if using 100 wt and what needle size?
Sorry but I don’t remember specifically what thread or combo I was using.
Why a sharpie? It doesn’t wash out
It is a quick way to trace and gives a thicker line to outline stitch. It means you don’t need to stitch over the outline numerous times to give it impact. It also means for a less confident Quilter, even if their quilting patterns are not terrific, the strong design still stands out and makes sense as an image.
Does the Sharpie ever wash out?
I have not washed it repeatedly but it says it is permanent.
Can u see through the black to trace pattern on the fabric?
Helen is this pattern for sale as a download on your website? Thanks for Sharing!!!
Yes it is. helengodden.com/product/kangaroo-leaps-bounds-edesign/
