Hey Kevin, when I’m chopping wetsticks I cut the bottom at an angle and the top is a straight cut. It just makes my life easier as not all plants are obvious in the way they are supposed to grow.
    Thanks for sharing the journey!

    “Gonna make the chop 3, 2, 1” ❤
My experience with Fluval is that it dries out more quickly, and more of my cuttings than in another prop media rotted. I’ll keep experimenting for now but I may prefer pearlite
My heat mats for props and seeds etc is life changing, you should use them if you like propagating, the growth happens so much faster, plus I use them when I accidentally overwater to prevent root rot, help it to dry out the soil quicker without having to repot and stress the plant more but that’s for plants in soil
I’m going to try Ashley Douglas’s method

I see what you’re saying about the chlorosis in the leaves. My suspicion is that it could use a hit of magnesium, either foliar or just straight into the reservoir. If I’m feeling lazy I’ll just throw a teaspoon of epsom salt on top of the pon and water it through with my nutrient solution, since it’s a closed system it can’t wash out like it would in soil. Worth a shot!

I was going to let my Obliqua runners run, but you have motivated me to chop and prop in fluval. So far, it’s the only substrate that doesn’t rot my props. Nice video and thanks for the complete updates.

I have to say that i was excited to see that you finally tried stratum but i was a little bummed when you showed the 1 month result because i was expecting a ton of roots and there wasnt much going on, but wait till you start propping some of your other plants in stratum the results are amazing, some plant just root withing the first 2 weeks of being in it, i cant wait to see more future videos

I'm not sure, but sometimes leaves get darker when they're moved further away from the light source.
I have a Hoya Krimson Queen🌱that's gets *TONS* of direct southern light, and as a result those leaves are much lighter than the leaves that face the opposite direction (inside room).

Hello. If you put a layer of Leca at the bottom it works beautifully with Fluval. When it gets dry it goes a light black colour

I recently got an extremely long monstera Dubia , and some of the internodal spaces were really wide. I cut the node closer to the end of a long cutting and stuck them in water. they have way outperformed the wet sticks with leaves in moss.
