Love love loved this information! Tip #15 is my fav!! I remember when I first started watching your videos I recall you saying to “MAKE YOUR 1st 100 videos” THAT HAS STUCK with me Roberto!! Thanks for the amazing content always! I am about 17 uploads away from 100 now!!
Yes talking to strangers is a great tip! I have told so many when they ask me about filming and can't tell you how many actually found us and subbed and actually continue watching. Those personal connections are huge!
Doing the only thing I can ACTUALLY control. Posting videos, responding to comments and earning every sub. Thanks for the reminder to also post on the community tab! Thanks Roberto!
Omg!! Listen…this video is literally a Godsend, because I was about to give up on my content for lack of subscribers, but seeing this video gave me second wind! Everything you said, I need to knuckle down and do. Thank you for your wisdom! It’s my first time seeing one of your videos, and I’m now a subscriber 😊
On my way to 90 of my 100 videos to get comfortable but I’m glad for consistent good information and the reminder of good quality, good audio and consistency. Thank you so much!
I started my youtube channel back in 2016, and i am doing thing wrong the whole time until now! thanks Roberto for alot of useful tips and tricks including this video!
This video is so on point it’s real!! I love the tip about talking about your channel with people whom you share a common interest with! I knew someone from school and I didn’t think they would game, I just mentioned I had a channel and they subscribed just to show support. That tip is so true, you have to market your brand and content online and off. It’s just something you have to feel good about because if you don’t feel great about your content, how can anyone else? That also shows you need to work on your content, setup, and confidence. You also have to remember you never know when you will break the 4th wall, but you will if you keep improving and learning. Mr. beast could have gave up, he struggled too. Great tips all around! I have a long way to go but I recently made over 100 videos and I can feel the accumulation of my efforts and knowledge coming together slowly. 😄
Just a small add: Saying to subscribe is free and costs nothing is not telling the viewers something valuable. I see some uploaders say this tongue in cheek, but if you're saying this seriously you may be the same person who thinks thumbs down on a video has to mean a dislike of the content (and that these dislikers hate puppies and kittens lol ugh) and can't be because they experienced legit technical problems with the video. "RUclips cliche" thinking will hold you back. Another great video, Roberto!
Another great video mate as I learnt something useful today like always. I am nearly getting to 1000 subs and didn't know the tip of not having ads in the middle of my videos but now I do. You are also right about talking to your friends and people who have similar interest as I have a very positive experience myself from that. Once again, I am in here for a Marathon. Stay Blessed 😇
Responding to comments is very helpful. Someone commented that they didn’t like my video, and then I replied. They ended up watching seven of my other videos.
The part about not making random videos really relates to the situation going on with my channel. I grew to 3k+ subscribers doing videos over MBTI/16 Personalities, but over the past 7 months, since I launched my channel, I’ve almost completely burnt out. I’ve lost almost all passion for the subject as each video felt more and more like a chore to make. So I’ve entered my “experimental” phase, doing comedic and commentary-style videos (areas I’m more passionate about) to see how well my audience responds to them. I told them I would return to making MBTI videos when I felt that passion again. Just feeling lost right now and awful that I can’t deliver the content my audience subscribed for. I’d like your two cents if you happen to see this comment. I’ve been subscribed to your channel for years, and I’ve tried my best to take all your advice.
Wow! most worth it 20mins ive spent! alot of small things u touched on that ultimately adds up to something grand! even the "dress up for the job that you want not what you have" that covers alot than just content or channel growth... that attitude is something i believe we all need to be reminded of! i agree someone commenting "protect Roberto Blake at all cost" i def agree!!! Thank you Roberto
Yes about the ads! No joke we have unsubscribed to many channels because it was filled every few minutes with ads on 30 min videos. It is to aggrivating to even bother far worse than TV....
Thanks Roberto, I've come back to RUclips after taking some time off and I'm experimenting with shorts. My content has always been short and I'd tried to make it longer as at the time that's what RUclips wanted but it wasn't working. I'm also thinking about starting a totally new channel from scratch so these tips are great. From a fellow introvert!
It took me roughly 3 years to get the stats. I am now waiting for approval for YPP. The subs was the longest part BUT the watch time was 5000 ish. It feels good to be able to comment this..keep posting those videos and keep improving your content. Your hard work will pay off sooner or later.

Your one comment helped me to see that even huge channels can never go viral yet they still grow and are very successful.

Thanks Roberto, always good content. The 1 thing I would like to know that no one ever talks about as a RUclipsr is the tax write offs, What you can and cannot write off as far as taxes for the stuff you make content about or stuff you buy for the channel. 😎👍
Thanks Roberto. I was about to give up. I been spending hours filming content for a couple years now with only a few hundred subscribers. I am going to double down on my efforts to gain subscribers. I appreciate it
I started originally following you on Twitter... THEN I started watching your videos.... I don't watch too many creators lately as I am busy myself but you are really standing out from the crowd. I see that you are sincere and you really care.... on other topic... about the audio. Yesterday I watched brand new video from "daniel sch..." huge channel over 2 million... he had a huge echo in his audio. I went through all the comments. Not even 1 person complained about that. When I look back at my channel, my subscribers were pointing out echo in my videos every single time, they were chasing me, driving me crazy if they didn't like my audio... until I had to fix it. SO bottom line. If your video is so strong, the content is so convincing, people won't even realize bad audio
Hello Roberto. Nick Headen here, executive producer of Welcome To The MadHouse. Im of the belief that youtubers are much more than just content creators, especially those who have to maximize less resources to produce content such as myself I write produce and direct every bit, responsible for casting, editing and also learning cinematography as well as YT marketing and thats why I'm here. You answered my question dude. I thought people would just subscribe because the content is funny and its a time we really need laughter, but you're so right, I'll probably get more subscribers as people see not only the funny, but a consistent track record of posting funny content. Thanks Mr. Blake. I'm definitely hitting the👍 on this vid.
Yayy welcome back!! It is always great to have these fundamentals reinforced and get that Roberto motivation! On telling people about your channel: I took my kids to visit my parents. My dad and I took them for a walk to the shore and we met someone collecting sea glass. We got to chatting and he told us he had a RUclips channel. When we got home dad and I watched a bunch of his videos and have been talking about it since we met him! His videos were so good and I learned so much about sea glass! It's so cool when you meet someone so passionate about something and they share that with you(Sea Glass Archaeology if you're interested)
You're so great Roberto! Thank you for all the hard work and the help! This is the best video ever, you tell it like it is, and you're right! You gave me some ideas too! 😃
Totally agree about random stuff. We just did a collab with several other channels (one being a buddies channel) and I had a feeling going into it, it would not perform well and just as I thought it did awful. Didn't hit one green checkmark.... Good lesson to know now that next time I won't do a callab just in hopes of gaining some new viewers because it was in a different niche.
Great video and the tips are always great, especially the first 100 videos and the camera charisma. I feel like I've finally found my niche so they'll be no more random uploads lol and I'm passed my first 100 videos. The key is to just continue pushing and stay alert

This just came up in my feed. Thank you for all of the tips! I've been busting my tail, and my channel is growing. I had no idea how much effort it was going to take to do this, but I'm willing to keep putting in the time and making adjustments. I think one of the biggest things to remind yourself of daily is why you started your channel in the first place. It wasn't for views, it wasn't for the $, it was because you were passionate about sharing something you enjoy or you love with others and helping someone in some small way. God bless!
Great and amazing tips. Sometimes it does gets discouraging, but in my case, I really don't pay attention to views because I create content to help with my anxiety.

You always keep it real and bring it home. Thanks! 11 through 15 smashed it!
Hi here still watching I needed these tips. Thanks for sharing god bless
Thanks man. Great info. I’m always learning something from your channel.
Thank you for this motivational video with actionable tips Roberto.
That last point... GOLD. Whoever's feeling like quitting - don't! Keep going, and you'll reach your goals :)
You're so great Roberto! Thank you for all the hard work and the help! This is the best video ever, you tell it like it is, and you're right! You gave me some ideas too! 😃
Roberto your videos give me so much hope! Thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks for the tips! Just what I needed at the current juncture of my channel.
I didn't know about RUclips stories. Looking forward to unlocking that feature!
Great video and the tips are always great, especially the first 100 videos and the camera charisma. I feel like I've finally found my niche so they'll be no more random uploads lol and I'm passed my first 100 videos. The key is to just continue pushing and stay alert
Love these Roberto - good practical stuff for everyone!

nice one Roberto! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the tips Roberto! All of us new channels could take this advice on board
Thanks for the advice. I'd love to know about mastering pacing for my videos so they don't drag. It's something I've been working on.
God bless!
Thank you for this awesome reminder for starting youtube channel bro. I've got a lot of inputs :)
Whoever wants to grow a successful YT channel starting from scratch, I hope you stay consistent and keep producing great content. Trust the process!
Thanks for this
Do you think it's really still possible to make a successful channel??

Thank you Roberto, great video!🙏💕
Great and amazing tips. Sometimes it does gets discouraging, but in my case, I really don't pay attention to views because I create content to help with my anxiety.
As always, thanks for the motivation and inspiration 💯💯
