I have been spending the last few months updating thumbnails and changing titles to older videos with low CTR. I'm checking the changes using a spread sheet and tracking the weekly differences, giving each change 30 days before deciding if it worked or not. Each change I've made since early July has increased each video's CTR, in a few cases, by almost 15%! CTR helped increase the retention as well because the right people started seeing the videos. Totally double your words about making sure people click by making necessary changes.

All of this so true. Burnout and depression, comparison, etc.. are also a side effect. I won't quit though. I'm 75% of the way to monitizing for those couple bucks a month lol

Great content Roberto! Very important & timely information broken down in an easy-to-understand fashion that is also very easy to follow. I took about 8 pages of notes, front to back, & hit "rewind" several times to make sure I got it all. Roberto hit a "grand slam" with this video! Great job as always!
THIS is what I like to see. You were not at all vague about what the steps were, you got to the point of each. And even though there is definitely more of a deep dive you can do on each step, I feel like this video provides much more actionable advice than many I see outlining a set of steps (including some of your past videos I'm sorry to say!) Long story short: Good job here, truly. (I especially liked the behind the scenes peek at what happens when you leave in an edit in that you intended to take out but the STRATEGY of using the finger snap thing to help with your edit markers - my wife does that all the time!)

Use the shorts feature to help bring awareness to your channel! Remember that it needs to be something that people are going to engage with, but I got lucky and discovered that RUclips shorts drastically increased my channel exposure and I was able to add the final 150 subscribers in just 3 days! Short video clips can be good ways to generate followers as well. I had one video that went viral and garnered over 1.2 million views, and landed me a lot of new subscribers. That video also led to more videos on my channel being promoted, etc. Good luck with the growth! Hope you hit your goals soon!

I’m documenting my nursing journey as a 34 year old mom of four and I feel that will help me stand apart since we don’t have a lot of non-traditional moms documenting their experience. But my bigger, bigger goal is to give moms hope, letting them know that it can be done, their dreams still can happen even after having kids ❤️ So thank you for your wonderful content and helping me reach all those beautiful mommas.

I hit over 100 subscribers in my first month which has been a huge success for me personally. I’m loving the RUclips journey and the advice on here is a huge help, especially about the fact it’s a long road and that there aren’t any shortcuts to success for the 99% that create a channel!

Good stuff man. The promotion thing is where I struggle, I think. I've been trying to improve on titles and thumbnails too, but promoting my videos is my weakest link, in my opinion. I just got the community tab, and honestly I don't get much engagement in there at all on anything but polls. I'll have to do some more research on it but it doesn't seem to do much for anyone but your current subscribers. I'm sure there's more I need to learn about it though. Lots to drill down on in this one man. But I was encouraged to see that there are at least a few key points you covered that i'm already doing. Thanks for the hard work.
Hey Roberto, you are completely right! I have a very small channel but I have one video with 80 000 views and lately I post 2 new videos about the same topic and those videos are doing much better than the other ones. I am proof, that what your saying is correct. 🙂

My first time to hear someone talk about education benefits when it comes to make your business worth. That's true. Also having 100 videos in advance is the best Algorithm. I'm so proud to myself cause I worth down 30 videos. But he said 20 is 👍 100 so much better.
@@RobertoBlake mostly everything but what really hit home was the quality over quantity. If you are trying to shoot out videos and it is becoming a burden for you to do so, it severely affects the quality (as well as focus) which is what most people are coming for in the first place. 👍🏻

Great tips! I think its easier when you think of them in terms of phases. Definitely think promoting is best done when you have a bunch of content already. Launched my channel a few years ago but have been going strong this year with videos- now I’m slowly transitioning to the Promotion stage.

Solid advice. I niched right down and took the hard road, and saw an improvement went from 22 subs to over 500. Last year I saw no improvement and quit, came back and changed my strategy. Hard work though energy wise.

I have a paranormal Channel called Haunted Hideouts and I have 1,340 subs so I’m past the 1k mark but each year my watch time hours gets less and less despite my subs going up. I decided to make another channel takeNshots which is this channel and my watch hours are booming on this channel. If I keep growing at this rate then I’m hoping I can get monetized within a year or two. I love doing paranormal content but it took me doing a different niche to bring in views.
I assume the brief moment at 19:48 was meant to be edited out but I think its neat to see that you didn't let it stop you. You just snapped and kept going.
Great video as always! I just started posting videos after a few months off due to working more but now that things are back to normal I am all in making videos and shorts in my spare time. Siting at 1700 subs right now and I am going to work hard to hit that 10k mark.
Helpful hint from someone who just hit their first 1000 subscribers yesterday (me! 😄)! I had plateaued at ~850 subscribers for around 5 months… then I happened to discover that RUclips shorts were a GREAT way to get a lot of exposure, and managed to add that final 150 subscribers in just 3 days. Moral of the story here… if you have some interesting content (in my case some awesome fighter jet footage from the blue angels air show), it’s ok to post full videos on your page, but definitely consider breaking it up into short 15 second clips (if you want to add music in the RUclips editor) and try and make your titles as catching as possible! Good luck to everyone grinding it out! Hope you hit your goals in record time!

@@RobertoBlake mostly everything but what really hit home was the quality over quantity. If you are trying to shoot out videos and it is becoming a burden for you to do so, it severely affects the quality (as well as focus) which is what most people are coming for in the first place. 👍🏻
I wasn't aware how few and far they are even with channels at 5k. I thought they would be soo much more. This made me appreciate what I got so far much more. Thank you.

Great tips! I think its easier when you think of them in terms of phases. Definitely think promoting is best done when you have a bunch of content already.

Solid advice. I niched right down and took the hard road, and saw an improvement went from 22 subs to over 500. Last year I saw no improvement and quit, came back and changed my strategy. Hard work though energy wise.

Yeah I have the opposite problem. Lots of views, but just a handful of subscribers.
I have a paranormal Channel called Haunted Hideouts and I have 1,340 subs so I’m past the 1k mark but each year my watch time hours gets less and less despite my subs going up. I decided to make another channel takeNshots which is this channel and my watch hours are booming on this channel. If I keep growing at this rate then I’m hoping I can get monetized within a year or two. I love doing paranormal content but it took me doing a different niche to bring in views.

Helpful hint from someone who just hit their first 1000 subscribers yesterday (me! 😄)! I had plateaued at ~850 subscribers for around 5 months… then I happened to discover that RUclips shorts were a GREAT way to get a lot of exposure, and managed to add that final 150 subscribers in just 3 days. Moral of the story here… if you have some interesting content (in my case some awesome fighter jet footage from the blue angels air show), it’s ok to post full videos on your page, but definitely consider breaking it up into short 15 second clips (if you want to add music in the RUclips editor) and try and make your titles as catching as possible! Good luck to everyone grinding it out! Hope you hit your goals in record time!
