I am french and I 've had the privilege to discover Indiana through 2 towns : Anderson and Muncie in 1998; I cannot say there was a lot of fun there, but I liked the "countryside" air of these cities; I felt sometimes so lonely and homesick but I also remember the sweetness and beauty of the evening's falling sun with the barns far away.
I travel to different towns to play Pokemon Go on occasion and I ended up in Marion one night. My God. Some of those neighborhoods make the worst neighborhoods in Fort Wayne look like the suburbs. I wondered if I had slipped through a wormhole into a war-torn third world country.
Terre Haute has been held back in development for years due to the unions and the Hulman family. Changing Indiana to a "Right to Work" state is a good start.
As someone from Indiana and who lived 15 mins from Michigan city and who had family that lives there to this day I can confirm that it sucks but you never mentioned they're football team who was pretty good kicked my schools (chesterton Trojans) ass just about every year I played for chesterton
Up here in Lake Station me and the homies be selling the smarties behind the Middle School. (I dont play Pokemon GO anymore but I use to find so many extremely rare pokemon)
Stunned Peru isn't on here, seriously. This place is the worst. We only have a Kroger and several dollar stores to shop at, a crippling meth and heroin problem, and less than 14,000 people with a large majority of them working entry level jobs due to most decent paying jobs leaving the town.
As a lifelong resident of Muncie, this is 100% accurate. I should also mention that being in the great lakes region causes extreme weather mood swings. The day starts off sunny, then pours entire lakes from the sky, now back to sunny and 75 degrees, then the snow blows in.
Airron do have a brother name Ronnie ? Just asking . And a older brother that like to play the tickle Munster . I forgot his name . And lived across the street from Muncie Central HS and lived in a gray house ? I use to live on Malbarry st Last time i live there was in the 70 s

Lots of stolen property and someone tried breaking into my house. There are parts of the city that look like a 3rd world country. Without ball state, there would be 0 reason to move there
I’m about to take an offer to work near South Bend Indiana and found some not-so-good comments here. Is there any safe street to drive thru in South Bend? I’m starting to think if I can accept the offer🙃 Any suggestion for safe apartments? or neighborhoods? Thanks in advance
Stay away from the north side of south bend I work at a restaurant there and used to live on that side of town. Gunshots every night, and my moms car was broken into multiple times. That whole side is just bad. Just look around and you should be able to find someplace there are lots of nice suburb areas and nice apartments as well. Also look in Mishawaka because it is very close to south bend and is a nice city.
Being born in Marion and raised in Anderson I can tell you that if you need advice for living in the "hood" just mind your buiseness and don't disrespect people and you'll be safe for the most part
I've lived in Indiana all my life, nobody told me you could leave. There are only 2 types of people that live in Terre Haute, those who can't sell their houses, and those on the Fed Witness Protection Program. Tattoo parlors, and loans to payday stores are booming. The Pawn shop businesses are thriving too. You forgot Valparaiso's heroin problem.
Born & raised in Connersville, I believe Richmond is worse. & for Richmond being near here, it's usually our go-to place to eat or shop. Lots of crime there though.

We just need to get our roads repaired and turn some of these abandoned buildings into something useful.
Anderson here. I fell off my chair.
I thought us that came from Kokomo were all WHOOOOOOO HEROINE
I am french and I 've had the privilege to discover Indiana through 2 towns : Anderson and Muncie in 1998; I cannot say there was a lot of fun there, but I liked the "countryside" air of these cities; I felt sometimes so lonely and homesick but I also remember the sweetness and beauty of the evening's falling sun with the barns far away.
All of my mom's side family grew up and still live in Connersville, I lived there for 1 year. I knew it was bad but didn't think it was top 10 bad.
I travel to different towns to play Pokemon Go on occasion and I ended up in Marion one night. My God. Some of those neighborhoods make the worst neighborhoods in Fort Wayne look like the suburbs. I wondered if I had slipped through a wormhole into a war-torn third world country.
Terre Haute is crumby, but it has the #1 undergraduate engineering school in the country (Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology).
5 colleges and Terre Haute still sucks lol
Terre Haute has been held back in development for years due to the unions and the Hulman family. Changing Indiana to a "Right to Work" state is a good start.
I once got attacked by a homeless guy in Gary. Fun times
iLikeButton 447 look you just need to say you got attacked by someone in Gary. I’ll just assume they’re homeless
oh now that sounds like some fun
As someone from Indiana and who lived 15 mins from Michigan city and who had family that lives there to this day I can confirm that it sucks but you never mentioned they're football team who was pretty good kicked my schools (chesterton Trojans) ass just about every year I played for chesterton
Yeah but our team just got good overall, I’m a MC native and it’s not too bad, just boring. And it’s alotta shootings now
i am admitted student of IU, how could i search apartment in Bloomington within my budget?
are we just not going to talk about fort wayne💀
Fortwayne not even that bad😂
I mean it is on the top 15
I live in Fort Wayne
hey_its_sid 💀
destiny . cool
Surprised there's no Fort Wayne or Elkhart on here.
What's wrong with ft wayne? Been there many times and loved it.
What’s wrong with fortwayne lol.
I was surprised Richmond wasn't on there.
Fort Wayne has a horrible school system
Fort Wayne suckssssssss
I use to live on Malbarry st
Last time i live there was in the 70 s
I was waiting for Vincennes. Opiates & meth.
Jon Limbach yup
Sadly all of Indiana and Ohio. Overdose rates climbing so high ..
I live in Anderson and it does suck. This used to be a great city before all of the factory jobs moved out and went to Mexico. We have gotten some new factory jobs now like Nestle and Greenville Tech and a few others but regardless it still sucks.Fun things to do in Anderson include Gambling ,watching junkies fall out in their cars at stoplights and going to the world's fastest quarter mile speedway .If anyone is thinking of moving here DON'T it's a trap and you will never get out unless it's in a casket. We are planning our big escape in 2 years when the child graduates High School and no not in a casket.
Yeah I live pretty close to Michigan city and while my family goes there regularly it's one of those places that me and my sister aren't allowed to be alone at although it looks really pretty at Christmas time but also that might be just the nostalgia goggles
Ayyyee Evansville wasn't on here
Ayyyyee
Ayyyye
😂🤣
I was shocked, really. Evansville should be on that list somewhere...
I live in newburgh a little town right next to Evansville when I go there it's nothing but abandoned buildings and a small mall and a few restaurants I wouldn't say it's one of the worst places it's just very boring
One time someone pronounced Terre Haute as “Terry Hawt” lol
Michelle Wyatt I’m guessing you live in that horrible town too? 🤔😂
Brayden Barnett no I don’t live there
Michelle Wyatt oh ok I was just wondering lol
Brayden Barnett unfortunately I do.
represent!
South Bend represent! My house is on the same block as one of the buildings in the picture of the downtown area! Lol
@Nick Johnson
What’s the title for the out track?
They're all from RUclips audio library I need to look it up I forgot the name. Your fave?
Nick Johnson
It’s one of my favorite outs I’ve heard on RUclips and I haven’t been able to pin down the name or artist. If you find it, let me know. Thanks!
fun fact: i go to ball state (in muncie) and my ex girlfriend found a meth lab in the dumpster outside of her house the week before finals HA
Nice! I actually found a portable one in the bathroom of the McDonald's down on Tillotson once lol
Looks and sounds like you are a girl dating other girls why
Becca .k probs because she’s a lesbian or bi. Ever learn context clues?
My previous roommate told me a couple weeks ago that a meth lab blew up two houses down from the house I used to rent with her
It's what they call a "side hustle".
I live in Lafayette, have ever since I was born, and I haven't even heard of half the cities on this list 😂
I been to all of them except Anderson
@@user-hu9xq7sv5l You haven't missed anything. I have to travel there for work from time to time, and it is so bad my company will not allow me to stay at any hotels in Anderson.
Same😂😂😂😂 I been I Lafayette for the last 14 years
Arnis' Pizza is Reverent.
Brittany Nicole WOAHWOAH, I’m in Lafayette as well. What school do you go to?
I'm from texas but live in indiana- I've been here for my whole life.
I grew .up in remington and it's so tiny- so peaceful.
You should have stayed in Texas. It's like a beautiful foreign country compared to Indiana.
I hope you do an update because Crawfordsville just may make this list this time.
I can't wait to get out of Indiana
Before this video i kept wondering why ppl asked me y i moved here
👋🏻 bye
Andy D G 😂
Ready to move back to Atlanta where i was born and raised
Smh same
Fort Wayne should be on here because we pretty much get amber alerts everyday here
The Wanderer fort wayne does
The Fort has great parts, and not so great. It really is a mixture and frankly, not that bad for how many people live there.
DD FriscoTX I live in Fort Wayne and when you are deep downtown, there are a lot of bad looking houses but when you are northwest that is where the “richer” ppl live. So Fort Wayne has its ups and downs, I don’t think it should be on this list and if it was it would be like 10
Hell yeah you do 😂 I’m sick of all the alerts that invade my phone
Averi Pendergrass I couldn't agree more!
I used to live in muncie. I avoided the southside at all costs, that's where rhe meth labs were concentrated. Also, had a lot of crimes committed against me while I was there.
Yes me to
Bro thanks
@steve Webb You are clueless!
This. I live in Indy and I just mind my damn business and no one has ever bothered me or my house.
Ayyyy Kokomo didnt get plastered on here.
Lol I’m glad Fowler wasn’t shown 😂😬
We lit
already knew scary gary was gonna be first 😂
Scary Gary hahahahaha
I’m surprised Indianapolis isn’t on here considering how much crime there is
I lived in Michigan City for 4 years I’m not surprised by this list😂🤷♀️
I didn’t doubt Gary would be at #1 for a second.
Wheres my Terra Haute people
Yup. How did we loose to Anderson? Probably cause we started importing the meth instead of making it locally.
Our family has been considering Indiana as our next home. Thank you for making this video.
Lafayette Bloomington or the northern indy suburbs are the best
@@NickJohnson thank you!
Don’t do it!
@@natashanyxx9486 too late 😆. We're here and love it.
Ayy Indiana🙌🏼 you done knew that Gary was gonna be on there
On there? You mean was obviously going to be #1
I've lived in Indiana all my life, nobody told me you could leave. There are only 2 types of people that live in Terre Haute, those who can't sell their houses, and those on the Fed Witness Protection Program. Tattoo parlors, and loans to payday stores are booming. The Pawn shop businesses are thriving too. You forgot Valparaiso's heroin problem.
I've always loved Richmond but Im kind of surprised that it didn't make the list... Especially since we're close to connersville
Born & raised in Connersville, I believe Richmond is worse. & for Richmond being near here, it's usually our go-to place to eat or shop. Lots of crime there though.
It’s kind of creepy that this is in my recommended.
Conspiracy theory: they are targeting hosiers! Dun dun duuuuuuun
Bluemoon Lunertune Ikr I think RUclips knows where we are.
Well yeah, google does track where you are.
