This guide is perfect for newbie like me! Very comprehensive and clear. The visual explanation and also the recap at the end really helps me understand better. Thank you.
Thank you. I was dumb some time ago, bought one of these without doing much research and ended up having a few droplets come out and coat some of the components on my PC. I also remember how the can would get really cold, and didn't know if that was bad or something. I like how you addressed every question I had from when I used this without doing my due diligence back in the day, so now that I'm planning on upgrading my graphics card and cleaning some of the dust, I can go into it much more confidently after this video. Thanks!
Hi, I just discovered your channel through ASMR, but I love the PC subjects, and you're pretty thorough! Great voice, so I'd encourage you to look into light-colored acoustic foam tiles to cancel the light echo from the hard walls, and your voice & audio quality would really pop!
@@EasyPcRepairs youtube feels unfair in that sense. Channels like yours never get the light they deserve. Somehow, not specifically in this category of air cans lol, youtube promotes tutorials or educational content that has about 20 minutes of rambling and 5 seconds of what the title says
can i spray compressed air through the airvent if my hp omen 16 laptop to remove the dust, is it safe? also can you give some amazon links to some decent compressed air cans
How do you attach the accompanying tube to the trigger assembly without breaking one or the other, or both? I never was able to attach the tube, and thus found the air duster useless for getting into tight spaces.
just, wow… I stopped using air cans because I thought they were useless as it would always get cold and condense. TURNS OUT I WAS USING IT WRONG 😂. Thanks Bob Ross of Computers!
thank you, i didn't know that you SHOULDN'T shake the air can before using it, i was shaking it everytime thinking it was the right thing to do,... can't tell how much air i wasted doing that....
This may seem obvious to some but it took me awhile to figure it but if the can gets cold then you will start losing air pressure. The can has to warm up to build air pressure again. This way you can use the entire can with good air pressure until the very last drop of liquid.
Hi. Thanks for the clear instructions! But what do you do if the can won't spray? I didn't tilt it or anything. I inserted the tube, and pressed the sprayer... and nothing happened. Help!! Thanks!
Probably faulty can. Check if shaking or tilting works to get it going … but do not use it on the pc whilst doing this … the can must warm up again and only air should come out. Reassemble the spray top and tube.
I used some compressed to clean my base board heater and now I’m reading you shouldn’t do that . I turned the heat off but I’m nervous go turn it back on . The can got extremely cold but I am bit sure if liquid came out
if I have accidentally shaken it before watching this video, is it not good anymore? Or do I have to wait a certain amount of time before using it again without liquid coming out?
Some additional tips from me: 1) Turn the can upsidedown and spray the liquid on a glass or a mirror, wait for the liquid to evaporate, see if you see any oily residue, if yes - your canned air is not a good quality, don't use it on electronics, if you can barely see any marks then it's a good quality. 2) Never spray directly into unprotected RAM/GPU/CPU sockets, keep your ram installed, and don't spray directly into PCI-e slots. 3) Never spray compressed air on your monitor, you can push dust in between the LCD panels. 4) Hold the fan blades when spraying over them. 5) Never use professional big air compressor to clean pc parts.
Yes, you can still use it... but if it's been shaken, leave it sitting for a minute before using it so that it doesn't spray out liquid. Test before spraying your components.
I've accidently sprayed my hand with it in the past but had no bad affects from it. I'm sure that if it was too dangerous, it would be banned. Best to avoid spraying yourself though if you can help it.
Hello It might be a very dumb question but after using do I need to remove the nozzle off the can and put back the safety thingy ? I am using Dust Off Electronics Duster
Safety thingy? Whats that? My ones never had any extras … just the tube to attach whilst using it … you mean the cap? Usually better to store to put the tube back in place.
Was wondering if you do spray your computer with the liquid aerosal (Holding the can upside down) is this liquid actually harmful to the components of the computer? I ask because I've actually done that a few times in my life but I've never actually experienced any problems with doing so.. I assumed it was a just a way to crystalize the dust thats stuck inside tight area's making it easier to remove but I wasn't sure. So far it sounds like I've simply lucked out an not destroyed my computer.. 😅
I've seen people spray their computer with a lot of liquid coming out of their can. I've accidently sprayed a little on computer components myself in the past. If the liquid is allowed to dry before powering on the computer, there never seems to be any problems with the computer afterwards. At least that's my experience (and some other people's experience too).
I got some of the liquid on my computer is that okay? I also did it in my room but I turned my fan on and opened the window to get the smell out. Will I be okay?
I’m thinking about using dollar tree air duster to clean off my mass airflow sensor ill just hold it upside down as i spray quick bursts I’m not trying to pay $12 a can for MAF cleaner when I know dust off leaves no residue is designed for electronics
Dont forget to unplug and/or block cpu fan blades from spinning when cleaning with compressed air. Dont want to risk turning that fan into a generator and feeding a surge of current to the wrong spot.
Generally it is a good idea to turn your phone off before cleaning it with a can of air. If the can sprays out any liquid onto your phone, allow the liquid to dry (usually 10 minutes is long enough), then turn the phone back on.
I read instructions on the can and thought it meant to shake before and during use, I guess reading isn’t very helpful and hearing or seeing visual instructions is lol. I ended up moisturising the pc a little but hope that can just dry off
Wow after the research now, I'm going to do the right thing now, diden't know it was such details not to do like, no holding in just short pushes. Also did the shake mistake until. So hope it diden' fuck up something before. I used it to get ride of dust from my phone.
How come when I spray once the liquid comes out but i stop spraying then I spray again more liquid comes out does that happen or have I got a faulty canned air
Press on it carefully and not aggressively … short careful bursts … upright … do not shake it … then it should only be working. If not … something is wrong.
Very helpful and informative, still nervous about cleaning my pc out with compressed air though, is there perhaps any way I could reach out to ask further questions? Great video by the way mate! Subscriber earned.
@@EasyPcRepairs Thank you for the response, I appreciate it! So I've recently got into pc gaming at the later age of 20+ console just felt a little on the sluggish side to me, what I'd like to ask is about my CPU temps, normally I get around 30° Degrees Celsius when first turning on the computer, around 40° Degrees Celsius after closing a game, where my real worry lies is within gaming itself, I used to get around 60°-70° Degrees Celsius when playing RDR2 on ultra settings, which caused me discomfort so I turned them down, I was told those temps were normal, for playing games like RDR2 which I normally play, and my RTX 3070 ti can handle it. I just wanted to check with someone in the know if these temps are safe? Thank you for the response I appreciate it so much!
Yes, those temps are normal. In fact I would say they are very good, especially as you're playing RDR2 which pushes the card quite a bit. You might as well put your settings on ultra and enjoy the better quality graphics.
Thank you again for the response, I've actually noticed my CPU temps are not what I thought, my graphics card is fine but my CPU is around 60°-70° Degrees Celsius while my settings are higher, I got told this is also normal, but it does cause me discomfort. Edit; As long as I know those temps are fine and my PC won't break, I'll continue using the settings. The fans do become quite loud, I figured I might have to buy more fans for my computer?
Yes, 60-70°C is very good for a CPU. Adding fans can be a good way of making them all run quieter. Or replacing your current fans with quieter fans would also improve noise levels.
If you can make the investment just get a cheap air compressor like you would fill bike tires with. You dont want a super nice one cause you dont want it too strong

Just push the tube into the nozzle. I've never had one break on me. Maybe you've had some brittle tubes that break easily.

Some additional tips from me:

Quite & simple
can you make a video on how to make cpu percentage lower!?
lmao i've always shook them
Hi, can I still use the canned air if it's already been shaken?
Yes, you can still use it... but if it's been shaken, leave it sitting for a minute before using it so that it doesn't spray out liquid. Test before spraying your components.

And I wanna clean my sccreen
Is it safe to use these on an xbox? Im trying to clean off the dust but im afraid the air will blow the dust into the console.

Tilting sprays liquid. It happened to me just a day ago when I was cleaning my laptop fan.
How should you store cans of compresses air when not in use? What are the dangers to avoid?
Store them in a cool dry place and they should be fine.
Just use common sense … dry, cool, not too hot. Not different to any other aerosols.
Dont forget to unplug and/or block cpu fan blades from spinning when cleaning with compressed air.
Dont want to risk turning that fan into a generator and feeding a surge of current to the wrong spot.
my complaint with the Esperanza Typhoon Compressed Air Can is that the little straw thing does not actually stick to the sprayer.
Usually it should be possible to insert it properly, if not, simply return it. There are better methods any way!
If you gonna clean your phone with that? Should you turn off the phone also?
Generally it is a good idea to turn your phone off before cleaning it with a can of air. If the can sprays out any liquid onto your phone, allow the liquid to dry (usually 10 minutes is long enough), then turn the phone back on.
Just use common sense … potentially flammables and moisture does not go well with electricity.
so if you are using it for a keyboard then you need to lift keyboard facing you? then spray? otherwise you have to tilted the can down - odd

how long should i wait before it dries@@EasyPcRepairs
