      Our 2000 7 passenger Mercedes e320 wagon, feel the same way. Its classy, solid & rattle free at 205,000 !
      Its unique, I see very few. I can't stand all these cookie cutter Yukons and endless crossovers.
      If our MB wagon had issues, I would take a long look at this Germany made (Opel) Buick Tourx wagon.
      We saw our first one on the road last week & I've now read quite a bit.
      Now Buick needs to ramp up production a lot !
      Not only did our local Buick NOT have a TourX in stock, the salesman hadn't seen one.
      We did examine the "sedan" version the Regal Sportback, also made by Opel Germany. I was impressed by the design, fit & finish.

      2002 Saab 9-5 wagon is old and tired. But GM sold this line and the TourX will be no more in 2021, they are already hard to find. So I'll have the same issue with replacement parts I have on the 9-5 wagon. I compared my Saab to the Buick and also the Acura TSX. The Buick is comparable with flat floor, but slightly higher load height. The Acura is MUCH smaller

    Nice job Roman. Very nice Car Buick! Station wagons have always ruled for me! The first car I drove was the family w Beach wagon, a 1968 Chrysler New Yorker Town &Country. My dad ordered with power everything, a stomping 440 Commando 4 brl dual exhaust engine with factory tow package that came with 3:55 posi and front disk brakes. Brand new I remember the sticker said $5,980! But he traded his beloved 1964 Imperial LaBaron Crown Coup he also bought new. But the family was growing and a two door, even as big as that was just not going to cut it with four brats. That Beach wagon was as great a car as I’ve ever driven in the pre emissions age. It got 8-15 mpg, but gas was around $.30-40/cents gal! That Car was surprisingly fast! It could light up both tires and more that bury the speedo. What I mean by that it the speedo was across from left to right in a straight line, with a small space between it and then a clock, my buddy and I more than once had the speedo needle all the way PASSED the speedo to 3oclock!!! While the engine was screaming!! My dad could not figure out why the mufflers kept blowing out!

    I am 35 years old and I really like the looks of the previous gen and current gen Buicks, I also do like certain wagons for the reasons you mentioned. My first car was a late 90s Ford Taurus Wagon. I like the looks and convenience of a wagon, but where I live and the outdoor lifestyle I want to have my next vehicle I am hoping to get a mid size truck or CUV or maybe a Subaru Outback, even though I don't like the sound of a CVT, I like the 8.7 inches of ground clearance. The Tour X probably has 4.5-5 inches of clearance, which sadly won't get me where I want to go as easily and doesn't solve my issue since I already have a car. If I had a truck already and wanted a new daily I could roll with this BadA$$ Buick even with all that armor cladding. :) Great review as always.

      Correction, Europeans are always about 35 years behind America on what's hip and current... Americans had station wagons in every other driveway in the 1970s... now we're all driving Crossovers... guess what Europeans will be driving in 35 years? Yep, Crossovers.

      Mr Mok Nah I rather have a real wagon. This one is taller and they put the body cladding on it. They are kind of trying to hide the fact it is a wagon like the Audi Allroad.
      Give me an honest version of this wagon like they sell in Europe.

    • @elementkx
      @elementkx 7 лет назад

      I agree, I was just speaking in general. I think all reviewers should own a wagon since they always ask for them. There is still the BMW 3/5, VW Golf, Mercedes and Volvo. But I bet most drive SUV's.

    • @roderickthomas6024
      @roderickthomas6024 7 лет назад

      Mr Mok I bet but the wife wont let them? Besides no manual transmission option for most of them. The last wagon I would buy would be a 6mt cts-v wagon but very expensive. Maybe one day....

    • @elementkx
      @elementkx 7 лет назад

      Roderick Thomas Probably true. My wife tries to get me to sell my 540 touring for years now, especially since I swapped it to a manual. OVER MY DEAD BODY, but it harder to argue with little kids in the back, especially since it still has decades old safety tech. I WISH I could scoop a CTSV. Prices aren't going anywhere but up for those things.

    I am seriously considering this wagon. My first preference is a Volvo V60 but they are considerably more expensive. However, I had a very bad experience with my first car out of college. It was a Chevy S10 Tahoe SUV and the damned thing had sounds coming out of everywhere. It was a terrible truck and I regretted ever buying it. Lots of defects and problems. I promised I would never give GMAC another chance hence when I went looking for another SUV I settled on a 2016 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I love my 4Runner but it does present a problem when I have to take my mom to visit her doctors. It is high enough to make it somewhat difficult for her to climb aboard. Hence my decision to start looking at wagons. Despite my reservations with GMAC I am seriously considering this vehicle.

      There's actually a ton of leg room back there, these guys did not do it justice. I'd guess because the front seats have the comfortable bolsters, etc, they kind of glossed over the room in back. I'm 6-1 and I can sit behind driver's seat and still have several inches in front of my knees - with my driver's seat set for my 6-1 frame.

    If it can't handle that I'm sorry quite sad. I was hoping this would replace my 06 v6 awd ford freestyle that has 3 rows of seats and over 8 inches of ground clearance and drives like a dream. we've taken it to flagstaff Az durning the 2016 now storm and glamis ca sand dunes and Blythe ca parked out at the river at the edge for prime swimming, and what I named seems like from this review the Buick can't for fill these attributes but it's still nice wagon.

    • @MrPizzapuppy

      Sounds like you need a Subaru Outback. 8.7" of ground clearance, 25 city, 32 highway for the 2.5i (my father's usually gets 28-29 average,) and 20 city, 27 highway for the 3.6R. Their AWD has been and is one of the best in the business, and my father, after buying his first Subaru over 30 years ago, refuses to have anything else. Hope this helps!

    Would have been more badass if your tester had the panoramic roof. And even more badass if Buick would make the wagon have the upper GS trim and engine.
    And yes, everyone knows this is an Opel Insignia(as you mentioned several times in the video, and multiple people saying so in the comnents here). It's been that way for the Regal for a while now (since Saturn died out because some Saturns were Opels too). And the Encore is an Opel Mokka and the Cascada is well a Cascada (didn't even bother to change the name on that one). BFD people! Why is this always a matter of discussion and a point everyone feels compelled to make? Everyone points this out as if it's a horrible thing. Again, it's been this way for a while. GM owned Opel so they codesigned vehicles for use across multiple brands to be sold in multiple markets. Several car manufacturers do this, and it keeps prices down, so bonus for us the consumer. The auto industry is completely global now people.
