    I ate something like this growing up and loved it but kinda forgot about it. Brings back great memories. Thanks for reprising this humble but much loved dish. Will definitely put this on the family menu.

    My family just made this for dinner, using a blend of the pork and the “mock”! Was fabulously simple yet tasty. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

    Great vid. Learned so much in a few mins. Off to go buy one of those wooden cover weights and some Kikkoman Suki Yaki sauce now lol.

      @@ieatishootipost how do we freeze the taufoo? put in a bag without water and put into the freezer? how long does it take to thaw before cooking it?

    Interesting way of using the tofu! Shall try it someday. Need to add in some fried garlic with the meat for us. I guess using this in place of oyster sauce sounds like cooking with Teriyaki sauce!

    Looks good, will try one day. May I know what is the brand of the wok.... Hard to find good wok.. Is either too heavy or heavily coated.

    If it’s supposed to be meat free, the sauce has dashi so it isn’t really vegetarian

      Ah yes, it is meant for people who want to cut down on meat for health reasons not for strict vegetarians. But good point.
