Absolutely awesome detail! I could not ask for a better explanation. This video will cut the repair time by at least 50% vs. the shop manual. Thank you. Thank you. Thank your!!
I really appreciate your video. I believe it is the most comprehensive video that I’ve seen as I am about to embark on my significant other’s 2007 explorer heater core while I have the pesky 4.0 sohc motor pulled for the timing chains. What an engineering disaster this vehicle is. Thanks again!
Good sir !!!!thank you sooo Much. I replace the heating core and followed your instructions like you said “by the book”. I’m new at being handy btw. The car now heats up normally. I now have to fix the car heating system in the rear and also I have the sound of water in the dash and I think there is air in the system so I will burp the radiator but thank you for such helpful video this job took me 3 days 😂 but I’m greatly thankful
Thanks again for the video! Successfully replaced my bad heater core. I have a question. I'm having problems burping the coolant system. I think there's air trapped in heater core. What's a good way to get all the air out? I think I get all the air out and when I drive the coolant temperature almost redlines. Doesn't do it when I have it at idle while burping the system. Thanks!
try this . remove radiator cap ( cold engine ) start and let run till at normal hot temp. rev engine to 2500 hundred rpm , this will purge air air from system .

Great helpful video...about to replace the heater core on my 08 sport Trac. Appreciate you and how long did all this take?
The book time is 8 hrs. It took me about 10 hours to do ( I'm old & slow ) .
But wise
Too many commercials.
