You are so easy to learn from, you speak clear and you move at just the right speed with a clear visual. I love watching you work and learning from you. I like the puff stitch but I struggle with it too much to enjoy it, my favorite would have to be the shell stitch. I have a shrug/cardi on my hook as I speak and it's done in shells, I also made a shell stitch purse for my phone, ID, cards, and money. It looks pretty, lays, and flows well. Thank you for all you do for us. Much love and stay safe to all
I think my beautiful daughter in law will be the recipient of a lovely she’ll stitch scarf. That’s her sorority color and the university where she is a works uses red as well. I lost my mom a month ago. She is why I crochet. She started me at 10. Yay! Now she’s looking down from Heaven cheering me on!
My favorite stitch from these five is the shell stitch. It was my grandma's favorite, always looks good in whatever project you use it in, and very classic. She made a lightweight shades of pink afghan I remember fondly. I think I would use the shell stitch to make an afghan to honor her. Maybe a scrappy one since that was another favorite way of hers to crochet an afghan.
I was thrilled to learn a few stitches that I didn't know, bu the griddle has to be my favorite. So easy to do, and the texture is eye catching! I think I want to do a set of nesting baskets using it
My grandmother taught me to crochet/sew during summer visits when I was 7 yrs old. I must have been a very patient little girl & her a patient teacher. she made beautiful blankets for the church. Those memories with her have stayed with me all my life.
Hi Toni. I love all the stiches, but my favourite would be the fan stitch. At first glance it looks difficult but after watching the video I see it is fairly easy, So a baby blanket would be my next project using the fan stitch,
My favorite stitch of the 5 is the shell stitch. I wanted to learn and couldn't understand patterns but now I get it. Would love to make a scarf with that pattern.
You are an excellent and patient teacher. I have been crocheting for several years and was curious as to how you introduce stitches. I found your instructions much clearer than those I watched several years ago when I was first learning. You are such as asset to crocheting.😊
I really love the Griddle Stitch. I actually just made a very beginner baby blanket using this stitch (didn’t even realize I was doing it!) for my newest grand baby just a couple months ago. Watching this lesson and learning the other 4 stitches makes me KNOW I can become a better crocheted!
I appreciate the very clear, uncluttered, verbal directions. I can crochet but find this tutorial very useful and delighted at a few new stitches. Thank you.
I love the texture of the Griddle Stitch. I’m planning an oversized granny square cardigan, making each square in a different stitch. This will be one I’ll be using.
The griddle stitch is so unique, I love how it doesn't really look like standard rows that you see in other crochet stitches! I think that'd make a really nice washcloth or towel
The moss stitch is my favorite, I am actually making a cardi right now where the color fades from cream to dark blue and the moss stitch gives the color fade an amazing look!
The moss stitch is my favorite stitch of the five you demonstrated. I think it would look fantastic as a handbag! Thank you, Toni, for Crochet Academy. I have learned so much watching you work. You're the best!
I have been crocheting for more years than I can remember and have used all these basic sts many times but one forgets the ending sts to keep the work straight, so I'm indebted to you for the wonderful, easy to follow brush-up. Thank you so much for sharing, and I might add there are always new things to learn which I have learnt from you. Thank you again and God's Blessings🥰
I love the moss/linen stitch! I've tried several variations and just adore how they have turned out for blankets, washcloths and scarves. Thanks so much for your kindness and a great giveaway!!
Griddle stich is my go to for the baby blankets, but I learned several new ones today. Thanks so much for always increasing the knowledge to the newbies in the community/group.
Puff puff puff all day long, made a few things with this stitch I love how versatile it is. I have a fave winter hat in the trusty ol puff. It's cosy!! & textureous! Yes that's a word 😂 🤣 I'd like to make a cushion cover with puff but extra chunky puffs so there's no gaps ooohhh snuggly 😋🤗
I forgot how much I love the simplicity the griddle stitch until I saw your great video here. My favourite stitch from all these here and I’m going to make a baby winter blanket so thank you T x
You make this look So easy! I am all thumbs and struggle hard but I'm rewatching this over and over to keep trying. Thank you for easy, precise instruction
I am just learning to crochet so I cannot choose which one I like the best until I try all your stitches. I’m crocheting blankets & scarves and different patterns each time. Thanks for your tutorials!
I love how unique the puff stitch is! My goal this year was to challenge myself to make a cardigan (crochet academy and the Kima pattern came along at a perfect time), and I can imagine making a loose oversize cardigan with this stitch 🎉
I love your channel and the way you make it so easy to follow along with you. Long ago I used to do the single double stitch but I couldn't find it until I ran across this video. Now I am making blankets for people mainly using the single double stitch. So Thank You very much for reteaching me this stitch. God Bless you.😊😊😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👍
I have watched this video about 100 times since it came out on day 1! 😂 This has helped me so much! I'm new at crochet, but I'm already hooked. I started with my sewing machine and went right into crochet. I love these videos! It feels so good to watch someone as experienced as you and come out with something nice myself and feel so proud. 😁🥰
I am trying all and so far I have done 3 different stitches in 7ish" × 7ish" squares lol so far my favorite is the puff as it looks so nice with my yarn Im using, and being new I'm so slow that it was nice to do one I was able to start zooming through half way through row 2.
I really like the shell stitch and I need to replace my ratty old afghan, so now I know what stitch I will use. Gorgeous yarns. Great tutorial, as always. Thanks, Toni!
I love the way you explain crocheting. You're very thorough in your explanation and you keep your sample short so that you can complete the row making it easy to follow along. I've come across too many videos of people making their sample too big and then edit out their work assuming we know the rest. Keep up the great content 🤗
Toni I have watched you crochet these stiches over and over and I think I like the shell stich better although they are all lovely. My niece lost her eldest son tragically and she is cruched..I want to make her a prayer shawl to help give her a little comfort. Thank you for the beautiful job you do in teaching these stiches..God bless⚘
I’m in love with this puff stitch, I would make a bucket hat with it! Love your videos so much, and they are so easy to follow especially for the beginner crocheters and thank you very much for hosting this giveaway
We just had our first great-grand baby I want to make a blanket using the griddle stitch. Today was the first time I saw your show -- and really learned a lot. Thanks
I love all of the stitches that you showed us today :)) im making a sample blanket with the shell stitch as one of the stitches as we speak! thank you for the opportunity!
I personally really like the shell stitch, it's the first "complicated" stitch i learned after learning the basic stitches of single, double, and treble crochet. I've actually got two blankets in the works, both in the shell stitch.
Thank you, thank you for clearly explaining the stitches. Sometimes when you read a pattern it can be confusing. You clearly took the mystery out of the v stitch and moss stitch. Years ago I made a baby blanket out of the griddle stitch and didn't know it. Thank you for showing me that the stitch has a name. Always learn something new when watching your videos. Hugs
I love the crochet moss stitch. I was thinking of making a blanket for my grandma because she is going through a difficult time in her life, and she is by herself. That way she can remember us.
My favorite of the 5 would be the griddle stitch. It seems very versatile and I would make a cardigan with this lovely stitch. Great tutorial. Thank you!
My favorite is the puff stitch. I'm making table runners and decorative placemats for presents and the puff stitch is perfect!!! I'm in LOVE with these yarns and well, of course these patterns too. Would love to try them all!!!
You are the BEST teacher. I’ve crocheted since I was 10. I’ve “managed” granny squares and a very poor broomstick lace. I am thrilled to add these to my list!!!!
My favorite stitch was the shell stitch because it looks fancier than the rest but they all look awesome in their own way for different projects the shell stitch would be AWESOME for a baby blanket. Thanks for the chance to win this AWESOME prize!
I recently started learning this as my mom and grandmother used to crocheting a lot...and I love to take this as a legacy forward...already loving it,😍
I love the moss stitch because it will work so nicely to add subtle texture. Thank you for the wonderful clear video of the shell stitch! It's the one my aunt tried to start me on when I was five. Now I have the courage to try it again!

My favorite of the five is V-stitch but it’s hard to pick just one! I love the openness of the v-stitch and it works up fast. I’m working on a summer t-shirt that uses v-stitch. Thanks for hosting Crochet Academy! Even though I’ve been crocheting for awhile now, I always learn something new. Thanks! You are amazing!
Thank you for the great information on making these stitches. You explained them perfectly and you have a great teaching skill and a very calming voice.
I love the griddle stitch and the shell stitch. I think they would both make beautiful projects. I can picture using them in a lot of things. A bag, a blanket, or even in crochet washcloths. Thanks for the tutorial!

Looks wise I like the Moss stitch and can't wait to try it. BUT...my favorite has to be the Shell stitch. When I was young, about 37 years ago, my Granny signed me up for a pillow crochet class and it was this stitch that I learned. Thanks for your tutorials and channel!
I like the look of the griddle stitch fabric and seems like it's fun to make. I would love a squishy scarf in this stitch! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with Crochet Academy!
The griddle stitch is lovely for me. It's perfect for different things for dogs like collar, toys (I will do a chicken leg with this one) and not only. Granny squares for blanket or sweater... You cannot imagine how many ideas I have for that stitch!

I love how clear you make the stitches. Also, the way your hook moves with the yarn is like butter! 😍 So satisfying

i kind of new to crochet so the for me the easiest was the moss and the v stitches .
What are mug rugs
@@mymothersdaughter1265 Basically mug coasters crocheted or knitted. They’re super cute stash busters and/or boredom cures
My grandmother taught me to crochet/sew during summer visits when I was 7 yrs old. I must have been a very patient little girl & her a patient teacher. she made beautiful blankets for the church. Those memories with her have stayed with me all my life.
