- I left Blue Island to go here and meet up with several railfans. A line of locomotives and rolling stock sits on display in front of Franklin Park Depot. CP's Elgin Subdivision was hella busy today and we caught many.
12:39PM- CP GP38-2 #4040 leads a long cut of cars out of Bensenville yard to the IHB further down.
12:55PM- Here is a real blast back to the 80s! This transfer with SOO GP38-2 #4414 and Caboose #134 Bring a transfer East.
1:34PM- This is the exact same potash train I saw interchanging onto th IHB down in Blue Island. Now here it is again as train T20 on the CP.
CSXT C40-9W #9010
CSXT AC4400CW #386
2:59PM- F40C #611, (one of two in service) leads Train 2221 into Franklin Park Depot. The rest of these neat units are stored in different places.
3:20PM My day here finishes up as a single CP AC4400CW #9598 leads an intermodal West.

Every 16th of May. This year the trains arrived at 9AM and stayed till like 5PM.
That was a kick ass day!
btw, the quality on your new camera is kick ass!
It was fun! Oh by the way- you got me in your shot- the CP Intermodal engine # 9598 you can see me shooting- lol us foamers are crazy! Cool video!
Nice Video Frank!! To bad the horn didn't blow in UP 1995, that would have been hilarious to see people get scared!!
I know, Im just saying that because on the official CSX roster, CSX calls the locomotives a CW44AC ( CSX 1- 494)
just so you know, CSX calls that first CSX locomotive a CW44-9 and the second CSX locomotive a CW44AC.
That locomotive you were in, at 0:15 that was that the UP 1995 SD70ACe in heritage paint scheme?
Fuck, I wouldn't move my ass just to please him.
Nice catch with that F40C!
CP #9598 West? that's a problem that's east!
Wow, I haven't seen a Soo Caboose in years.
Whats Up With The Bell on the CSX
Yep. You name it.
