Great. I’d been wondering how to take these apart as I want to paint them into Virgin East Coast

I’ve had this problem with some vans - especially my childhood Hornby Kellogg’s and Prime Pork favourites!

S2SAtticRailway same here, I have added 10g to each of my retro box vans and they are perfect too now.

This is a great idea! I've been using deluxe materials non-toxic weight granules (totally forgotten the name off the top of my head), but they can be fiddly and not the cheapest. I may well borrow your idea if that's OK! Just uploaded a videos to my channel, of you're interested? Had a flurry of creative activity! Lol. Keep up the great work matey.

Another timely video! I'm now running a 6+2 rake of Mk4 coaches, and noticing a lot of movement as they're so light. Will look at adding a few weights like this . Have you looked at converting to illuminated coaches now you have all your platform and high streets lights done :) ?

Let us know how they are once you add some weights.
Yes I have coach lighting planned in the future, these Mk4’s should be easy to do.

Exactly what was needed. I got a new 91 with my old Mk4s but the Mk4s keep derailing. PS As I had no weights I used cement. Seems to work. Now Mk4s work OK on 3rd radius.

Fantastic stuff, yes liquid cement can also be used. the weights can be sourced very easily.
