    Hi, i have a Sony STR-DH590 in my living room and a vintage receiver in my she cave. My Sony keeps saying protect i think and then cuts off. I took a shelf out of my cabinet to keep it cooler because i feel alot of heat coming from the top of it. What do you recommend? I thought of maybe hooking a small fan to the wall behind it to blow cooler air onto it. It used to never do this. 😊

    If you have superpower-hungry speakers, you can remove the jumpers on the back and bi-amp by using the speaker terminals for the mids and tweeters and the crown amp for the woofers.

    I am totally blind. I have no vision whatsoever. I recently purchased a Sony receiver model number STR Dash K700 and it did not come with a remote sadly to say. I have a Alexa echo dot from 2021 is shaped like a hockey puck it has one power input slot, and I believe it’s a auxiliary out slot. I would call it, I was curious to know if I can connect this Alexa echo dot to my receiver because this particular model Sony STR Dash K 700 does not have an auxiliary out slot in the front or on the face of the receiver. It only has a microphone out slot so if there is a way I can hook this thing up with a particular style of cord or RCA cord. Would it be possible for you to leave me the name and the model of that particular cord because right now it is just a huge paperweight without the remote I can’t even change the tune up or tune down for AMN FM stations, thank you so much. How do you power the amp? Car amps use around 12+ volts! Is that what you use?

    • @PetersPorsches
      @PetersPorsches 9 месяцев назад

      I have a 120w reciver that was perfect... until I bought some huge tower speakers that suck all my power for sub par volume all around, so amps are really a setup based use case. Also you will find that if you can drive your speakers to about 80% of peak RMS they get more tight and responsive.

      @@EverydayMan ok so I took my IPhone with the head phone adapter and rca at the other end used a stereo equalizer and hooked it up, it play but the signal is weak, the phone volume is almost half way but the amp starts reading the signal, it gets loud but not punchy so I tried a mini pre amp phono input which boost my signal strength and gave me the punch but it sounds muddy and it starts clipping at about halfway
