Guys, I got angry. Not every example you show is peaker advantage. Like in 1:13 it's because jet is closer to the corner. When someone is close to a corner the one who ist further away from that exact corner he can see you better in general. It has nothing to do with the servers. That's Gamedesign.
uh just want to mention that the example for peakers advantage you used on haven with omen and sage is just angle advantage. That's a fundamental part of the game and is because of geometry not server latency.
who knew that spamming a and d while staying fairly stationary is a “fairly advanced skill” never mind i just watched the rest of the video and he went from being very informative about server ping to just saying “guys just run and gun”
As Yoru I really like to leave my gatecrash in some dumb place so enemy has to find it and while they are occupied with "Yoru will be back here" I am already holding corner or some angle and enemies just walk to their death.

Peeker's advantage is so ridiculously strong in this game that I feel like attacking is significantly easier than defending. Coming from CS I have to completely change how I play purely because the peeker's advantage is so bad.
Some of the examples shown here aren't actually showing peeker's advantage. (the examples where the peeker slowly peeks the angle and can see the holder). This is actually due to the distance difference (the person further from the corner spots the other person sooner). WarOwl on RUclips has a good video on this. Not saying peeker's advantage isn't real just that the examples aren't rly accurate. The example at 1:40 is the best proper example of peeker's advantage
This effect is very prominent in game and I never hold an angle. I always peek (to get info) to not get 1 tapped. Even with operator I prefer to peek than hold.
At 5:06 where’s hes standing of ur a Jett or raze u can go on top of the crates and play a off angle if you’re getting rushed to hard to entry on defense

Exactly, this video is very misleading. This only apply to bad computers/high ping players. If you have normal setup you can sure hold angles without disadvantage. It is all about the angle you take, you should take angles where you see their body first, it mostly depends on who has the furthest distance from the angle/wall blocking your line of sight. That is why holding an angle where you are in a tight corner the enemy will see you first if they go further away from the box/corner and go slowly. You will get prefired. Also, dont hold the angle longer than you can focus. Dont move just to move. Move away from angle slightly relax and refresh focus and hold the angle again is my simple tip to stay alert.
can you talk about how we clear the angle and everything properly but at soon as you move to the next angle, the enemy just pop out from that angle and kill you? like any way to avoid that? i only die to that and it's annoying how they time it perfectly.
i notice more the lag compensation than the peekers advantage. The lag compensation is dog shit, completely ruins jett dash and disables tight headshots.
The thing I do to mitigate peekers advantage is playing angles no one expects or playing the same angle everyone looks at but a little bit off so when he peeks I already have him .

good thing i average 20 ping, people try to tell me ping doesnt matter but whenever they put me in a server over 700 miles away i notice the 50 ping when fighting, too bad i'm s2 but i'm in the process of climbing
I always have 20-22 ping but when I have teammates with 100 plus sometimes on my screen I shoot and see blood but it says in the combat log that I didn’t hit any shot -.-
Jiggleholding? What ranks are you playing - Bronze/Silver? That is absolutely ridiculous thing to do, even if you have knife in hands fastpeeking back and forth to take info is 99% death in Valorant. Something that used to be effective in CS, but not here.

Valorant is a good game, but I think Riot claiming they will get rid of peeker's advantage shows the limitations of the team. We like to pretend developers with a history of success means that they know what they are doing. That's not always true. CD Projekt Red is another example.
Well as a person experienced in communication, peekers advantage cannot be nullified unless the ping different is brought to a very negligible value, which is impossible with different people playing from different locations. One solution to make it less noticable is to increase server locations all around the world, which is very costly and not something a profit making business will be willing to do.
Valorant have this problem because netcode are trash, movement animations are trash, plus is full of hacker, 1 day with 10 usd you got radiant, better uninstall and play others games.
