I'm from Manipur . In my locality people made snacks using lotus root and jaggery. That one is really nice. And this one in the video is totally a new . Tq for this video.
Wow😋 Lotus Root & Jaggery sounds very interesting! And about the Honey Chilli Lotus Root recipe, you should definitely give it a try😋 Btw how are you doing?😄
I made this using Hot Honey and have the batter and regular honey on the other half. I fried the Hot Honey slices last so that the heat didn't affect the other version. Both were super delicious - i really loved the Hot Honey version.
Loved the way you said" for reasons best known to those who call it so" because my sister corrected me saying "Lotus stems" to my reference to LOTUS ROOTS. I was at a loss because she never entertains corrections
also used in acchar (or achar sometimes, as transliteration into Roman alphabet is inconsistent), either in mixed North Indian (and Gujrati) pickles or stand-alone lotus root achar
Hi I'm from Netherlands, I ate this lotu roots in a restaurant with my Indian family in new Delhi. I have now bought the lotus root in the asian store here in the Netherlands. These contain a lot of moisture......( and sugar ) so when I deep fry them, they quickly become dark brown and in my opinion do not lose enough moisture to become completely crisp. The taste is OK but the texture is too soft. Do you have any advice on how to make this?
Does anybody know where do i find lotus roots....i live in a city and i dont know where to find this....i dont think sabzi mandis sell this...i want to try this but i have never gotten it

But honey at this high temperature, not good for health.
But your cooking wild honey 🧐
Don't you need to coat the lotus root slices with corn starch.
