Lale-land Road Trip Finale - Illinois and back to San Antonio

This summer, we took a two week road trip.
Much like the drive back to San Antonio, this video took entirely too long to get to.
On day 10, we left Minnesota and headed for Illinois. There were plenty of other things we had discussed doing, but after a hectic schedule during our first week on the road, we decided to just chill with my parents until it was time for the reunion near Starved Rock.
My dad has a large family - 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Every time we get together, they start telling stories. This time was no exception. I love listen to the oral history of our family.
After spending 3 days with my parents and 2 days with my extended family, it was time to head back to San Antonio. We piled in the car at 6 AM Sunday morning to make the 16 hour drive back from Illinois.
In all, we traveled over 4000 miles, through 9 states, 3 national parks, 2 major league ballparks and a partridge in a pear tree, along with lots of time in the car. Our ultimate goal - spend 3 days in northern Minnesota before going to a family reunion in Illinois. We just took a very roundabout way of getting there.
I'd love to say this was an epic family road trip, but that name is already taken! It was pretty amazing, though, and a trip I'm sure my girls won't forget.
