re bandages - depends where you are and what you are doing. Here in Australia they are more to restrict subdermal poison flow, so you need to wrap from the snake bite point, down and then back up - say 1.5 a full leg.

re fire - nothing with compressed gass can be flown (in theory), so flints might be best... but in cabin (pressurized) a lighter is often ok (if off the shelf, and not like a Zippo with fuel fumes leaking)

So for the first aid look at getting a mini medication mod from My Medic that would be good in a pinch for travel to have a good array of commonly used medications with you and its small. That and a travel tube of Tylenol or Ibuprofen , because headaches/bodyaches suck. For trauma stuff the swat T works, a snakstaff systems EDC tourniquet would definitely fit in your kit and would be more in line with a CAT in terms of design, that and throw in a mini compression bandage. As far as survival items, a Sawyer mini can easily attach to a standard water bottle. That or look at Cana provisions for their decon kit for water purification. a mini bivy would be good to throw in there as a shelter in a pinch compounded with a mylar blanket. As far as fire you may be able to do a bic lighter, but a farrow rod along with that knife would work too.

Those are great ideas. CAT-T is definitely a superior design. I was already thinking ferro rods; they should be airline-friendly(?). And I have a mini bivy somewhere at home that I completely forgot about until you mentioned it.

Thank you. I'm not trying to get RUclips famous, just staying busy and sharing my experiences with people. I'll try to keep creating good content.

PPS. I'm no expert either, and also adding extra comments (rather than in a single thread) to help your channel in the algorithm.

I appreciate the support. If the channel grows, that's great, but I don't want to play into the RUclips algorithm game. I just hope my videos are useful or entertaining .
      About your suggestions:
      -Foil blanket: absolutely.
-Fire: I found something called a Firebiner that creates some sparks, could be useful when paired with a fire starter material.
-About the whistle. I assume you mean getting lips frozen to it? I'm usually in warm climates anyway.
-I need to do more research into different types of bandages, but you are a tough person for surviving in Australia. Lots of dangerous animals there, but I hope to visit there someday.
      Cheers.

@PreparedToWander totally understand about not wanting to play the algorithm game but from this one video I feel it would be a shame not to have it seen by more people 👍

@PreparedToWander read bandages I would definitely suggest a triangular bandage to be added as it can be used as both a sling and compression etc

re metal whistle - I was just meaning it should be plastic so you don't get stuck in freezing weather to your whistle on your wet lips lol. personally i think if you are going anywhere a whistle is needed (real outback) you should instead take a radio / EPERB instead, and or GPS watch or similar. Now days a backup power bank is probably more important than a whistle hehehe

@@CptnKase 100% agree. I was thinking that's what the safety pins should be used with.
