Stats Show Fentanyl Replacing Heroin as Cartel Cash Cow
Fentanyl is rapidly replacing heroin as the drug cartels are using to make money. Statistics on drug seizures from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) show that there has been a clear shift in the cartels’ smuggling habits, and the data strongly indicate that the border chaos of recent years is facilitating this lethal trade. Comparing statistics across the last three full fiscal years (FY) is as it informative as it is alarming.
Heroin seizures were high throughout FY 2021, closing the year on 5,400 lbs. seized. But by FY 2023 seizures had fallen to just 1,500 lbs. That is a 72 percent drop in just two fiscal years. By contrast, fentanyl seizures in FY 2021 were 11,200 lbs. and over 27,000 lbs. in FY 2023. This is an enormous 141 percent increase. The statistics show that the cartels are clearly changing their business model. Cartels see more money and growth opportunity in fentanyl, and are moving away from heroin and towards fentanyl.
Fentanyl is attractive to the cartels because of its massive money making potential. In terms of the profit margin, for just $50,000 in production costs, $20 million worth of fentanyl can be sold. This is a return of $400 for every $1 spent. For cartels, like any business, the profit margin of that magnitude is too high to ignore. Another feature that attracts the cartels is the sheer addictiveness. Fentanyl snares people into addiction more quickly and totally than even heroin, given that fentanyl is 100 times more potent than heroin. The more powerful the drug, the more powerful the addiction and with that, the more business for smugglers and dealers. < > FAIR US org

The Act was signed into law in March 2021, and hidden inside was a $110 million appropriation to FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP). EFSP would award this funding to nonprofits to provide food, shelter, and services to illegal aliens encountered at the southern border.[
The report found that a portion of the grant recipients violated the terms of the program, failing to provide receipts for reimbursements, failing to maintain logs of individuals served, or providing services for individuals who didn’t have DHS records. Out of the audit’s $12.9 million sample, OIG was unable to account for $7.4 million. If the same pattern held for the entire batch of funding, FEMA would be unable to account for nearly $64 million of the sample.

I was in High School when Robert Kennedy was assassinated. I loved the Kennedys because of their compassion. I remember hearing that RFK Jr sat in the hotel room waiting for his parents to return and spent the night watching his dad die over and over again. I don't think he ever got the help he needed because, in the 60s, going to a therapist was taboo. So, I feel sorry for RFK Jr. He needs help, and will never make a good president.

The fact that we are constantly having these conversations shows how incredibly strange these times are. It is challenging to accept that this is actually happening in our reality. Yeah soooooo I was reading comments and replies the other day and this was posted as part of the discussion by a participant.
"Why is it that when people list trumps past crimes and business failings Nobody brings up the fact that he's on Nevada's blackball list right next to Al Capone and can never own or set foot on a vegas casino floor.
During the Reagan era he got caught using his Vegas casino to launder money for the Russian mob. As part of his plea deal he had to admit what he did and pay the largest fine in the history of American casinos. That's were one of those bankruptcies come from. He only took that pea to avoid jail and far more serious charges like treason. That's why he think he's being mistreated because it's the first time the prosecutors and courts has treated him like the criminal he is and not giving him sweetheart deals.
Unable to get bank loans and about to go under. He suddenly got huge investments from firms and shell companies traced back to Russian companies and crime figures. When asked about it Reagan's response: "Boy!Those Russians really saved his a**". "
There were some other legal/illegal matters listed in the post regarding trump's history I have not fact checked these but I have vague memories of some of them. Please don't forget the LONG history of trump and his blatant criminal behavior.
