It was in the dying seconds of the last game of the series and another russian ran mark so before time ran out gordie nailed a russian back but not the one that hit mark.

I know what he is talking about, as you KNEW you were in the presence of greatness while around him .... but Gordie was VERY down to earth .... NEVER acted like the star he was - but that could be a big Canadian thing........

One Canadian newspaper printed a photo of a pair of boxing gloves with the caption 'The Greatest'. Beside it a pair of hockey gloves with 'Ditto'. Lost the two greatest in the same week.

Does anybody have the video of when Gordie knocked out that big russian in game 8 of the 74 series? Does anybody else even remember it?

If I remember correctly that russians legs weren't moving at all, just straight out behind himself, his toes dragging on the ice as they removed him! He was outcold unable to move. They had to take him up off the ice because he wasn't coming to.

A Gordie Howe hat trick is two goals and a fight but Gordie Howe never fought🤣 The NHL sells us so much bs and we blindly accept it because it sounds cool.

It was a Goal an Assist and a fight. And your right Gordie only had 2 in his career

*Howe was a very good player But...he was no Bobby Orr or Wayne Gretzky. Howe and Maurice (Rocket) Richard were the top players of their era.*

there are two sides to the Fontinanto fight .
    Loui finshed the game
    gordie didn't
Gordie spent two days in the hospital ...
it it was a 10 pt must system ... the REf and two judges woud have awarded the fight to Fontinanto ....
nothing against Gordie , but at best Howe got a draw ... look into it a little bit

I’m not sure about that I have THE book from Gordie him self signed by MR HOCKEY and there’s many players from both benches that said when Gordie was hitting Lou in the face it sounded like and ax hitting a tree or someone chopping wood. They said they both where throwing punches but Gordie knocking him to his knees with 3 blast to the nose. They said his nose was on the side of his face when he left the Ice. And like I said both teams are in this book with there out take of being there.
