I've been wondering but, wouldn't the clan be Djarin? and their signet the mudhorn? cuz all the other clans seem to have the lastname as name, and then a signet, the armorer only called them a clan of two, not clan mudhorn
She did say the symbol was the mudhorn, so I think you have a strong case
isnt it mudhorn because he was thought to have defeated one in season one

I get the impression that this video was made before the release of Mandalorian S3E2 because you left out Adonai Kryze Duke of Mandalor and father of Satine and Bo-Katan. Considering Bo-Katan said he died defending Mandalor I wonder what set the two sisters on opposite sides of the following conflict.

Love Clan Kryze, I love Bo-Katan Kryze and her cameo on the Mandalorian. Also, loved Duchess Satin Kryze and her love Story with Obi-Wan sadly was too short and I wished they could make a Story based on those two characters.

Maybe even only by mention. Picture this situation: Several Clans send envoys to a meeting with Bo-Katan. In the Background you see someone in completely Black Armor with a grey flightsuit that is petting a Strill while everyone is taking. After the Meeting Bo-Katan says "Wasn't expecting you here Walon" As an answer the Mando in Black just says "I'm doing this as a favour for Kal. I will report him what I heard today and if he agrees to help you, you'll hear from one of the boys". That way we canonize Walon Vau, Kal Skirata, Strills, and maybe a few of the Nulls

All these talks about the Mandalorians made me wonder should the Cathars receive their own series for us to see or not. And if so, what I hoped to see for the most is did they hold grudge against the Mandalorians or not and how they reacted when the Empire committed genocide against the Mandalorians.

This is only the modern era of mandalorians and doesn't include extremely important clans such as Ordo or Lok.

@Generation Tech don't forget that the Viceroy of Mandalore is listed as a "Emperors Hand" hes a lot more skilled than he appears, and if Emperors Hands are like they are in legends, the Emperor can selectively give him as much Force power as he wishes. I think thats why he handled the Dark Saber well.
So the watch is more of a collection and basic education system to bring the new peoples forward. I like it
When they attacked the factory in SWTOR they mentioned there were 200 in each Clan basically Company strength

Poor Din he doesn’t care about the different clan beefs, Imperial Mandalorian’s, Dark Sabor significance, Mythosaur etc…He just wants Mandalor to be one! And he wants his kid to be apart of the culture.
I would love to see both clan Ordo and clan Skirata on on screen sometime soon... or at least a mention of them.

Do we have any information on house rook? I know they’re counted as the smallest of the three houses but I can never find good info on them… is there a possibility we could get an overview of the rest of the clans as well? It’s super interesting to me

Episode 2 of this season, Bo-Katann mentions that Mandalorians and Jedi have fought together as allies. Is this a reference to the last season of Clone Wars, when Ahsoka fought with her against Maul, or is there more to this? Would love a video on that.
Most likely a reference to that onwards, as prievious to that Mandalorian history with the Jedi has always been... _antagonistic, to put it lightly._
Jedi and Mandolorians fighting a common enemy has been a recurring thing since the Clone Wars. Satine and Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and Bo, Sabine and Kanan/Ezra.
Clan Skirata all the way. I know Delta squad is cool, but Omega squad has my heart.

I'm guessing Canon has the Armor Colors tied to Clan Heraldry. In Legends, I recall it being Highly Customizable by the individual, with specific colors and trims meaning different things:
Grey - Mourning a lost love
Red - Honoring a Parent
Black - Justice
Gold - Vengeance
Green - Duty
Blue - Reliability
Orange - A Lust for Life
Etc.
Ordo!!
So let me see if I got this right
Mando House: political group
Mando Clan: family group
The watch: foundling group
Vassals: like clan wren
Clans can allied together under a house and House can lead groups together if sworn to them?

This makes me wonder, if you took somewhere like the houses of Parliament (I use that as a reference due to being British). What would that look like if you had Mandalorian clans and and houses on opposing benches in Parliament and an independent house speaker to keep all sides in check.
Something like that happens in Legacy of the Force when Jaina visits Mandalore to train. There is a meeting of several Clans in a Room within the MandalMotors Complex and Spearheaded by Venku Skirata and under the supervision of Goran Beviin and Boba Fett they discuss how to proceed with Mandalore after the Yuuzhan Vong War

I love house kryze but I also like clan ren and clan vizla which are in the same house to I might say I would be in house vizla but it’s so hard to choose

I would think clan Djarin, every other clan has their surname as the clan name not their signet as the clan name (plus clan mudhorn sounds kinda dumb)
Could just be something else entirely. Clan Navarro, as that is where they truly became a father and son.

Actually I ran a tabletop dnd like mandalorian game before all the visla nonsense. And one of the last thing I think that happened is mandalorian jedi became mandalor
The Skirata heriatge makes TBB adopting Omega much more understandable. Kal is the ultimate Mando dad, but give Din and Hunter more time and they may even surpass him 😜

Ummm… It was actually Sabine Wren who created the super weapon that could target Mandalorian armor (and she called it the “Duchess,” of all things). She left the Imperial Academy when she realized that the Empire would actually use it against Mandalore. This is part of why she couldn’t go home and why she was initially reluctant to go back to Mandalore with the Darksaber. BTW, I think saying that she claimed it for herself is a bit of a stretch. She didn’t want it at first, giving it to Fenn Rau and not mentioning it to anyone. It wasn’t until Kanan Jarrus confronted her about it that she, again reluctantly, took possession of it. Furthermore, when she later won it from Gar Saxon in combat, she didn’t keep it and instead gave it to Bo-Katan Kryze. Why Bo-Katan could then become leader of Mandalore but couldn’t later accept it from Din Djarin beats me.
What show does that clip of Sabine and I am assuming her brother on the statue come from, being very different animation it is not Rebels?

Star wars really screwed up the relationship between clans and houses and what each actually means
its as if the writers room had its own houses and clans in developing the canon lore.

Nah, they were part of Clan Fett, who in the Old Republic days had lots of prestige thanks to Mand'alor the Ultimate's second-in-command, Cassus Fett.

The idea that it would increase the number of Mandalorians, probably. Most people who weren't Mandalorian saw high numbers of Mandalorians as a threat/bad thing, on account of all the wars they fought.

Because Jango was adopted as a foundling by Jaster Mereel, the fetts are probably clan mereel rather than their own new clan, the symbol on boba's right chest piece is that of clan mereel

Clan Skirata never truly accomplished much outside of helping the Sith plan by training the clone commandos. It's also funny that they belittle the Jedi as military officers, even though every war between the Jedi and the Mandalorians end with a crushing Jedi victory and the Mandalorians scattered like rats.
Wouldn't majority rule elections be similar to the dark saber system. Do question majority rule if simply being 18 is good system
