My guess is that it’s been automatically struck by RUclips’s copyright bots and Pyro is probably having to deal with the appeals process and showing that he does actually own the license. The video likely remains muted so that he won’t lose all income during this period because of a false claim. Then again, knowing how music owners usually operate, I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner is just being a jerk about it or if the licensing agreement Pyro signed had some kind of technicality to make this violate it.
@@Chewberto Offhand, that scenario seems very likely. I've seen a few exact cases of that. The SFM cinematic at the start made me realize just how well "Man Who Sold the World" works as a theme for the Gman, and for the Half Life series in general. Great video as usual!
@@boombah5228 The clones, struggle with the manipulation of those higher in power, paranormal aspects (Ghosts, psychics), the only thing missing is Gman showing up at the end and activating the nanomachines in the Combine's body to disable everyone's weapons before he spins his revolver for three minutes.
@@andriwll it was the movements and reflections that he seems to try and mimic the SFM with. If he did the suit 1:1 to what is in HL (e.g. there's no armor strips that look like spine guard on the chest piece in HL), I would not really recognise the footage from very well made SFM.
1:45:59 I'm way too late to bring this up, but this does come up again. Essentially, you can pick up ANY weapon and hold it in front of your soldiers to make them equip it. For example, in that very same area, there are several MP7s on nearby shelves. If your ammo is full and you don't automatically collect them, you can hand the gun to that rescued combine (Scar Zero). This can be done with any of your subordinates at any point, as long as there is a weapon to pick up. This can be used to replace the basic soldiers' shitty submachine guns with AR2s or even rocket launchers. The big battle in apprehension is a good example since you get an infinite crate of AR2 ammo and two AR2s are lying around, begging to be handed to the combine with MP7s.
@@V1DE0-STARZ The one by midge, you can still find the clip in its full form on YT, by fortressfilms or something like that. Pyro spoke out about that, kinda sad
theres a really cool detail that im sad nobody noticed it: if you saved up a magnum ammo for the adviser fight, 36 doesnt do his spinning reload animation but slow professional reload animation.
I love that Wilson and the turret guard probably wouldn’t have trusted the guy if he wasnt wearing combine elite armor, they even talk to him with the normal turret voice lines as well
I never knew Entropy 0 was such an incredible and detailed game. Breadman is one of the people that Valve should keep an eye on. There's still a lot of love for Half Life and Valve shouldn't miss their opportunity to finish the series.
Valve employees were afraid to work on episode 3 for fear it’d be a let-down. Mass Effect 3 came out and was lambasted (for being a later down) which only furthered their fear of working on it. Eventually, it’d be years later and they practically gave up since they knew the hype would be out of control and nothing could live up to it. It’s why they worked on Alyx, since it’d be a prequel. Also, spoiler for Alyx, a likely reason they retconned the episode 2 ending is because the lead writer for HL2 posted the plot for episode 3 (epistle 3). So the were likely forced to change the ending, as people would know how Episode 3 would play out (if it were to release).
It doesn't need to be better than the previous titles, just a great title on it's own, they need to finish it so people won't have the worlds biggest blue balls anymore.
@@finnish_hunterthe thing is that the Half-Life saga is planned to always has a cliffhanger to continue the history, that was the main plan for example when they were doing the episodes. Half-Life for now is a saga with no end.
I love how the fully broken down version of the voicebox sounds literally exactly like the actual combine soliders, but we only hear a few lines of it at the end of the game. Truly an epic moment.
Good to see that Pyro is continuing the Yakuza tradition of having the intro spoil the entire story before it starts EDIT: what the hell, i made this comment before seeing the actual Yakuza dynamic intro reference at 2:03:10
i mean in the yakuza games (except judgment and lost judgment) the intros are just a compilation of random cutscenes that only spoil certain aspects of the story as you're obviously not gonna piece most of it together compared to slopcynical's intro which summarizes the game from start to finish in a matter of a couple minutes
Great video! Being immortalized as a "popular creator in the Half-Life" sphere in a pyrocynical video is extremely surreal to say the least. Thanks for that
the best part of this for me is this isn’t a “bad guy turned good guy” story cause throughout the entire series 36 is either loyal to the combine or on his own
Same, plus (Unless you're Wilson) he is an asshole to you. Would be cool if Valve acknowledged this character in 87 years when the next Half Life game comes out.
Something that Pyro doesn't mention, and I haven't seen anyone talk about in the comments, is that in the apartments, you can find a dead man and woman laying together on a couch, their body positions suggesting that they were a couple. There's also a turret in the room facing them. This implies that they were taking a moment to themselves and using the turret to cover the door. Then when Bad Cop re-arms the turrets, they get gunned down without even realizing what's going on
1:45:56 this is actually a tutorial for a pretty interesting mechanic. If you pick up a weapon it will only fill up your ammo meter to full, be not despawn. You can then hold the weapon next to a combine squamate to make them pick it up and use it instead.
4:45 This whole animation, with the man who sold the world, was a fitting MASTERPIECE! As a viewer I thoroughly enjoyed and understood all of the map/story references that was going on. twas a treat to watch :)
@@arti3324same feelings, I almost missed it at first glance, because I don't know anything about "Entropy: Zero" games, but after watching the video this SFM feels incredibly good I can see the whole plot in it and it shows the talent of a person behind it, very cool @FortressFilms I loved it
My theory why bad cop talks in the second game but not in the first? First game was a recording of his mind. Likely that recording filtered things out our conscious mind filters out most of the time too. One of them being bad cop talking. To himself or others. After all, conversations do seem to happen in the first game. And most people dont listen to themselves talk. At least not consciously. Their subconscious does to check that the sounds are the intended ones. But consciously? Often not. The second game meanwhile is Bad Cop remembering things himself. So he remembers what he said, because it was part of his thinking process, and part of reforming the memory.
13:11 Something you might’ve missed about the stun rod, is that you can use the charged attack in the stalker part when you lose NVG as an improvised flashlight.
i really like the ending where gordon just one taps you. it feels extremely real. most of the combine elites were once humans that had their own story but of course gordon barreled through all of them with no problem. many of those elites had dozens of kills under their belts, but were just a stop gap to gordon.
I have a small anecdote about Trivvy. I remember reaching out to him one day about his vocal processing to get Bad Cop's voice, he ran me through his process, and just gave me his entire FL project file. Great guy.
@@DanielMamaev03 I can't really understand the whole process myself, but the gist of the sound is to feed a static tone found in the hl2 beta, used for combine, from one channel, to another channel that has the vocodex plugin and your mic input. They have a tutorial for it pinned somewhere in the official discord server
The name "entropy zero" is pretty interesting. The concept of entropy comes from thermodynamics. It's a way to account for irreversible changes that transform energy into "useless" heat. At least it's useless in terms of doing work for human designed systems. In general the theory is that entropy always stays equal or increases, it can never be reduced. This is a depressing concept as it implies that all energy in the universe will eventually transform into a "useless" state. So with that on mind the idea of "entropy zero" is a really hopeful idea. The idea that you can always fix anything and nothing is hopeless.
Just finished both Entropy games and wow, that opening cinematic combined with the "The Man Who Sold the World" song makes so much sense now, kinda gave me chills rewatching it after completing the game.
Valve should hire Breadman, and those who also made the Uprising. The story, amount of detail, these developers deserve to be a part of future Half-Life episodes.

Crazy how I was never a big fan of Half life but I got so invested into this video and I understood everything as you explained it. I love how you explain even the basic stuff so everybody can understand no matter how much or how little they know the themes you talk about.
One thing I really like about the G-Man scene in Entropy Zero 2 is that 36 is the one to approach G-Man. In every other G-Man appearence he's the one to approach you, stepping forwards from the shadows to offer you some deal. Here, you're the one approaching him while he idly leans over the railing of the Borealis. It's a really cool way to show the fact that 36 showing up really is an unexpected development to G-Man.
I am not even a die-hard half-life fan, but this story is making me feel things and giving me chills. Well done Breadman+Team and thank you Pyro for the insane production quality and time you spent on this. The story is giving me big time "Captain Rex" deserter vibes, and its one of my favorite story tropes.
I love how Bad Cop is basically the half life equivilent of Harrier Du Bois from Disco Elysium. In that hes an incredibly competent prodoigy but also a massive unstable jerk who's barely tolerated
Yeah, I played through EZ: 2 Before this video and Wilson's death made me cry. I was so happy when I got the ending and Wilson was still around in A.I form.
Not even an hour into the video I'm already blown away from the incredible production quality and dedication you put into your videos. What also threw me off guard is the inclusion of the Signalis OST "Turned Around" at 30:30 you truly know what's good and I really hope you make a video essay on it too because it is a masterpiece. Your insight on it and perception of the story would be extremely interesting to watch and I'm sure you will do its justice that it deserves.
you CAN save your squad, if you bring the first working turret from nova prospekt to the end and set all the turrets up with your squad cowering behind them you have enough fire power to leave without seeing them die
This video is so damn engaging despite its length. I watched it back in the time where I was in more physical pain than I'd ever been in my whole life. This video was enough to distract me from the pain enough to be somewhat functional. Thanks, Pyro.

Kuze on the bike was just too epic

Something that Pyro doesn't mention, and I haven't seen anyone talk about in the comments, is that in the apartments, you can find a dead man and woman laying together on a couch, their body positions suggesting that they were a couple. There's also a turret in the room facing them. This implies that they were taking a moment to themselves and using the turret to cover the door. Then when Bad Cop re-arms the turrets, they get gunned down without even realizing what's going on
