- Honestly, I've never had so much fun driving a vehicle before. Our drive today involves the smart#1 Brabus - and we get to see what 428 horses and 543 Nm of torque can do in Brabus Mode.
This is a 'point and squirt' car - the vehicle height is a bit on the high side, and despite it being not as stable as a sedan, I must say it gives a pretty good account of itself.
You may not be able to see it, but from the start, we were being followed by a couple of very fast cars, but they couldn't make up much ground until the end of Part 1 when we slowed down for some traffic.
This car is so fast that you don't have to drive it fast - just wait for the road to straighten out and you put pedal to the metal, and it goes like stink.

I think he was quite a distance away and I didn't know he was chasing. Anyway he did catch up near the end of Part 1.
For rhw downhill part in Part 1, it is difficult for anyone to catch us because there is a max speed you can take the corners and it is downhill so any power discrepancy can be nullified. It was later on when there was traffic and you know we always slow down for traffic for safety.

I think Mr. Ys Khong forgot to turn on the simulated engine sound, there have 2 different sound of engine, brabus & classic..

About 15 or 16 km only. Very normal to eat up the charge when you push it. We are definitely not cruising up nor down.

It regenerates so much you use only about a couple of percent to get back to PJ

It drops around 30 percent on the mountain, and then it stays there until we get bacl down. The regen is good downhill.
this battery drop is almost same as Tesla Model 3

Uncle Khong, the suspension seem very harsh. Harsher than Tesla ? Can even hear the tyre/suspension bing bing bong bong around uneven round. You were jumping around the seat.
It is firm, but not uncomfortable. The car rides a bit higher than normal though.

He was right there, he was taking a chill drive, learning the car, staying away from stone chips.

I test driven both brabus and model 3 highland standard range, guess what, the model 3 standard range NORMAL mode feels just like a brabus, imagine how would a long range version feels like

Three vert different vehicles. Dilphun is entrt level, most affordable. Tesla3 and Smart Brabus would be comparable to each other and are much faster. The Smart stands out for being more colourful and has more soul. The Tesla is good and steady. Pick according to your taste.

It's a different kind of like. This type of like is when you can out- accelerate almost anybody in an EV like this one.
However, I know exactly what you mean about the sound. This one has a set of simulated sounds, but I turned it off.

We were not racing - just chilling and enjoying our respective drives.
Fun, power, way cheaper than cars with the same horsepower, plus zero carbon emission. If rich, this is the car.

They were quite okay - no issues. Tyres were too new, a little more running in requires.

Like all other EV cars, excessive centrifugal force in the electric motor at high speed will shred it to pieces unless the manufacturer utilise carbon fiber wrap to reinforce the motor (like divan / tesla).
Nowadays, quoting 0 to 100 not really meaningful.
It didn't shred on us - just enhoy the drive bro! Ride the waves, enjoy the sun, forget the rain! Be positive!

TBH the Porsche was not chasing us, and the Ferrari, I think there was no space for him to pass - too much traffic at that point, so like me, he also chilled. Safety is paramount.
