Hey, the Backpacker Suite is 70s, not 80s! I was there, knew Sonny, my brother is in the photos on the back of the LP album. I regularly play from it. I went with Sonny to Yosemite. Heard some other familiar bits in your playing… you must be in or from Yakima. I was born there, lived not very far from where Sonny lived. My father built a chapel addition at 1st Pres, his father worked on those tiles on the roof. Enjoyed your music.
You're absolutely correct! I lumped it in with the 80s, mainly as that was the era of church music I was highlighting for our former choir director. But I'm glad to have found another fan of the work! It still holds a special place in my heart.
@@MaryJamersonNotemistress Yes! I haven't gone back and listened to this recording, but I do recall that I put a little of the Easter Song in there. ;-)
@@MaryJamersonNotemistress Also, this was 100% from memory (some of them almost 40 years old!). I don't have any of the books anymore, and they're long out of print, sadly.

Did you know the Easter song? Thought I heard a few hints of it on there, like maybe you remember some but not all of it.
