Thanks for finding me here! I'll be using this channel for live performances from home as well as other musical and creative things that happen from time to time.
O Little Town of Bethlehem
Day 13 of my 25 Days of Christmas series brings us a reminder that war is not new, yet miracles can come from humble places. Thanks go to NBC news for providing the recent footage of Bethlehem, as shown in their newscasts.

Day 12 brings you a classic Vince Guaraldi tune. Today is also National Mic Check Day (*check 1-2, 1-2*). Anyway. Enjoy!

Day 11 - Just under the wire! I never really learned this tune. It has chord progressions that my musical brain always struggled with for some reason, so I'm reading from a cheat sheet. I'm learning to give myself grace during the holidays. I hope this tune finds you in a place where you can rest as well.

Day 10 brings you a tasty Frank Mantooth arrangement of The First Noel. It's a little melancholy - after all, when do we ever expect the extraordinary amidst the mundane?

Day 9 brings us a Mark Hayes arrangement of Pietro Yon's beautiful Italian Christmas tune. Reya makes a cameo...you can tell by her eyes that she's not too thrilled about it. :)

Day 8 of the 25 Days of Christmas series. My piano is being refurbished, so I'm using the home studio keyboard for this one. This is one of my all time favorite Christmas hymns. I hope you enjoy my rendition!
Journey / Faithfully -- Edward Rodriguez and David Cunniff

Every now and then a musical collaboration comes along that restores your faith and replenishes your soul. Edward and I have the privilege of participating in a choral festival in my old hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico recently. This was an "add-on" number for our closing concert. It is basically a one-take track. Sure, we did a run-through...but just one - and it was as fantastic as what yo...

Day 6 of my series, "One Christmas Song Per Day." With thanks to an arrangement by the immortal Vince Guaraldi, Christmas music and presents under the Christmas Tree make up many of my core memories as a child. This video features almost every member of my family - except my dad. He was the cameraman. This is our first Christmas without mom and dad. Enjoy these memories with me!

Day 5 A fun little tune today - one of my favorite Christmas songs, actually. I was out and about in the city, and this song kept going through my head. Enjoy!

Day 4 of my "One Christmas Song Every Day" series. This video shows a little of the technology I use to make these. It's just an iPad, my phone, and a standalone digital recorder which generally does a fantastic job of capturing the piano's essence. Hope you enjoy!

David, these instrumental performances were a delight! Thank you.
Beautiful. But I'm not seeing Days 1 through 7. Am I not properly YT trained?
@@jeffbrach1214 It's because I shelved the project and picked it up again this year. I'll post a link to the whole category.

Very nice!
Wow David!Fantastic! I miss you in gospel choir!
Hey, the Backpacker Suite is 70s, not 80s! I was there, knew Sonny, my brother is in the photos on the back of the LP album. I regularly play from it. I went with Sonny to Yosemite. Heard some other familiar bits in your playing… you must be in or from Yakima. I was born there, lived not very far from where Sonny lived. My father built a chapel addition at 1st Pres, his father worked on those tiles on the roof. Enjoyed your music.
You're absolutely correct! I lumped it in with the 80s, mainly as that was the era of church music I was highlighting for our former choir director. But I'm glad to have found another fan of the work! It still holds a special place in my heart.
Did you know the Easter song? Thought I heard a few hints of it on there, like maybe you remember some but not all of it.
@@MaryJamersonNotemistress Yes! I haven't gone back and listened to this recording, but I do recall that I put a little of the Easter Song in there. ;-)
@@MaryJamersonNotemistress Also, this was 100% from memory (some of them almost 40 years old!). I don't have any of the books anymore, and they're long out of print, sadly.
@@davidcunniff7019 I have about twelve copies of the original book. I can share one.
Wow, what a treat!! Thanks!
So beautiful!!
Love this!!
Hell's bells that was delightful David!
Beautiful, thank you!
Beautiful and thank you for sharing. I echo Darrell's thoughts.
Thank you Dave. That was the right prescription, well-rendered.
Thanks Dave. Played this while teaching myself to tie fly fishing flies on a dreary Sunday afternoon in NM. Although one of the songs made Jess cry because it was one her dad used to play.
Ah beautiful playing sir! Gives me all the romantic Christmassy vibes and you played it superbly!
Thanks Mark! We should think up some sort of socially-distanced collaboration sometime. ;-)
Awesome!
Me too! Thrilled to hear you playing and live no less! Hope to catch future ones as well. Was enthralled with your music back in Mrs. Brown’s studio in the 80s and early 90s, and still the same. Thanks for sharing much needed beauty during this time of struggle.
Beautiful!
Loved watching our, now world famous, wedding pianist do his stuff! Loved it!!! - Jed
Had no idea you did this live!! So glad I caught the replay... listened as I worked this morning.
Love it! Thank you, David.
Bravo David! And how wonderful to see and hear my mom too! Thank you!
What a beautiful piece!!!
