I haven't bought a song in nearly a decade. I bought and downloaded this one from iTunes. I'm currently checking out other music by Tom and by his wife, Nova Rockafeller. They're both awesome music-artists and Nova is an genius-level video-artist. I have a feeling that my phone is going to be full of a lot of their songs soon, and it will be money well spent.
Tom first met Ben back in 2019 and they didn’t speak again until 2023. Tom was on one of Ben’s Podcasts last year and at first they were joking about being with Tom on a song one day. Well, HOG and several of Ben’s followers actually really genuinely liked that idea and we started asking vigorously for both them to do it. so Tom and Ben ultimately decided that it might just be something good and they knew it would be really fun. I am more than happy that they did this!!

I think it was helpful for Adam Corolla to give advice about the woke mob. He said if you let it be known that you're not apologizing for anything when they come after you, or you just don't respond to them, they back off after a while. It seemed like what he said was what keeps their attack going is your participation in the drama. What helped me a lot was not caring whether I'm misunderstood, because there was a time when I did plenty of trying to explain myself, and it never got taken seriously by these people. What convinced me to go that way was how I saw over and over that the people who "got it" never needed an explanation. They'd already figured it out for themselves. Plus, the people I saw who changed from being woke to being reasonable did it themselves, because they finally met some situation that bothered their conscience, and for once they were curious enough to investigate what was causing the problem. I didn't hear once that they changed because somebody explained how wrong they were to them. What it comes down to is respecting people's free will; the fact that I have no control over it, and it's really up to me to defend myself against the negative effects of their reactions/decisions on the larger scale, not as individuals. Plus, it's much more fulfilling to be doing something positive, rather than spending one's time with the crap from these people.

It's the leftists who constantly try to categorize people into groups and subgroups, and it's the far-leftists ("woke" people) who have such severe power-and-control issues that they're obsessed with trying to dictate how others must think, feel, and act. People are fed up with their lies and hypocrisy, and increasingly not caring if they offend them by telling them to STFU and mind their own business.

I really thought it was going to be cringe. I was hesitant to check it out because of the cringe factor.. but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't cringe at all. I actually really enjoy the song... not just for its political message but for the song in its own right. There was the one line though, "all my people, let's get a billboard number 1" or whatever the exact phrase was... THAT was cringe. That's the one spot in the song that makes me cringe a little.

The reason I say this is because I try to live by "The Golden Rule". Treat others how you want people to treat you. That being said, the privilege of such treatment should be IMMEDIATELY revoked if the sentiment is not reciprocated, taken advantage of, abused, unappreciated, and taken for granted.

She listened to it for 30 seconds, looked at me, and said, Eh, it's okay, sounds like a lot of other stuff from the last 20 years. People aren't judging it on it's musical merit, but on it's message. Confusing the two is bad, because mediocre music is always just that, mediocre. People in my opinion are being dishonest, ironically, because of their feelings, not the facts. Month? What? I had to take history for years. You only do it a month? Weird. Is that supposed to encompass all of black history? Or just.. some? Like.. how up to date are people on how things are going in South Africa? From what I have seen, not at all. Its like this.. dirty little failure no one wants to talk about. Is that in it? I rarely participate in public nonsense, but if the history of greats, and failures, and targets for the future are included, that sounds cool. But.. how can you get all that in just a month? I think it should be all year long til its covered. For those needing it.
