True, there are better looking SUVs, but these have the Landcruiser quality, with the Lexus amenities that actually work. Just check the used
Saw a 2013 one out in the forest with a Hummer H1 while me and my buddy were hitting the trails in his Jeep. It was impressive just seeing it out there (it was pretty muddy) but it's really too big for the trails it was on (the Hummer was useless out there. Far too narrow) Still, glad to see someone that actually uses it to its potential.
My 2013 lx 570 had been trouble free for 70k miles ! Not a single visit to workshop. Oil changes only . Now I am waiting forcthe ? 2021 lexus lx600 for replacement
If I was purchasing an SUV I'd go Lexus because of the long term reliability. I'd lease the RR, it's an amazing SUV but it will break too many times throughout long term ownership.
Great review. Having owned 2 Land Rovers before I can vouch for the lack of reliability & expense factors of the British vehicles. These days I prefer Japanese for quality & reliability & none better than the Lexus for this. IMHO also worth considering are the Korean 4x4's. I'm currently using another japanese SUV, the Mitsubishi Pajero turbo diesel and I have to say that is one hell of a vehicle too.
dont even need to drive one, just go sit in one and you will know why they ask $80,000. bank vault doors, bank vault silence, rock soild reliablity, and even better quality than a Land Cruiser. i found some painted trim pieces in the LC, but the LX is either real wood or leather.

Well, You can't blame him for saying that. Lexus is just Toyota's luxury line of cars. It's a toyota, but it's more luxurious than a normal toyota SUV.
People saying this guy is bashing on German/european cars saying their unreliable, he's kinda right. Unless that VW or MB was a diesel your not gonna see 200k+ on the ODO unless it was all highway or had a major rebuild. Anyways I want one of these or the land cruiser.
@ Sebastian...I believe the LC has the same leather as the "base" LX. The LX luxury package includes an upgraded leather package. I doubt if the LC leather is the same as the LX upgraded leather interior. The rear DVD screens are an indication of the upgraded interior. At least this is my interpretation from my research as I am currently in the market.
I would definitely choose this LX over the Range Rover simply because it is reportedly much more reliable. However if shopping for every vehicle in this class, I would choose the Infiniti QX56. IMO, It looks better, performs better, is just as luxurious, and is better equipped. Not to mention it too is much more reliable than the R. Rover.
the land cruiser 200 series(2008-current) the top of the line land cruisers got the same leather and veneer....in the US since all land cruisers are fully loaded they have the same leather and wood.
like i said, its the same leather and veneer, toyota puts more leather on the lexus but its the same material is what i meant so when the reviewer in the video said nicer leathers that was wrong, in the 100 series it would be true but not since 2007 when the 200 series was launched as a 2008 model

Range Rover all day for sure.... Do you see the tail lights on this LX? However, Lexus does know how to make their interior seem very comfortable.

Escalade is great, just not a good time to get it given a new generation is coming next year
I would take the luxury lx570. The range rover is kind of ugly to be honest. If you want to be safe and be comfortable go for the lexus

i have an LX470, it hasn't been quite the reliable vehicle, the A/C broke, and i've had to replace the timing belt (a vital part of the car)

The drive is not so good because the LX has a traditional body on-frame setup. Its essentially a truck. The Range is still better.
