  • Based on the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser, the Lexus LX 570 has real off road credentials of it's own, winning the Baja 500 & Baja 1000 in the hands of Joe Bacal in the Stock Class.
But with all that, 99.95 percent of the people who buy the LX570 will never drive it off road, unless you count dirt roads. So we have to ask, how does the LX570 stack up as a luxury SUV, expecally when compared to the new Range Rover and the Mercedes-Benz GL? That's what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive

It is so awesome that rich soccer moms buy these and then trade them with low miles so the rest of us can buy them used and enjoy them at a reasonable price. Thank you to all rich soccer moms everywhere

I just got a 2013 with 75kms and was probably just used by a nanny to take the kids to school. It's in showroom condition and feels way more solid than the new BMW's, Rovers, or Mercs I tested. All they have is gadgets. I'll take reliable over toys any time.

That is called durability. I was shopping for a vehicle and found some 2008 LX 570's interior stood up better than most others who's super soft leather wore pretty fast. Plus I had friends who had Land Rovers, Mercedes who spent a lot of money fixing electronics and drivetrain issues while I had friends who had Land Cruisers and LX 570's with 160,000 to 210,000 miles that looked better, were quieter and far more reliable, other than oil changes and tires zero maintenance costs.
Smart people would rather have this than "look good".

I had a 2005 LX 470 and at 130,000 miles decided to trade and get a 2018 4Runner TRD. The Lexus had no problems with it when I traded. I immediately missed my Lexus and now after 3 years of driving my 4Runner I am trading it in for a 2015 LX 570. I found the 4Runner to be very uncomfortable on long trips compared to my LX. The lumbar support was a joke, felt like a food in the small of your back. Can't wait to pick up my LX 570 this week and get out of my 4Runner. Wish I had never traded but about to fix that mistake.

If you area serious off-roader... The lx is the one... Very reliable, no electronic failure like the range rovers...

Imo this is probably the sexiest SUV ever made.

The interior is not as bad as he makes it sound. The leather is not as "thick" but it feels nice and soft.

This guy needs to update his reviewing skills ... Very uber skeptical of the car and really didnt get a good sense of the car
The real review of the quality and "luxury" of a vehicle is to find ones with 200K+ miles on it ... I guarantee you the LX 570 will trump every other car in its class in terms of quality and refinement through the test of time [maybe except G550]... Ive had both the LX and Range, and after 120-150k miles, you can drive range rover straight to the junk yard .. Range Rovers are a gimmick ... And dont even get me started with maintenance and customer service ...

Meanwhile with the LX the car still feels brand new even after 150k miles and its reliability and relatively cheap service/maintenance helps makes it very affordable to keep in the long run

I'd take a GX/LX over just about any German pos on the market.

LOL the range rover won't even reach 10k mileage before heading to the junkyard

The LX has the Off road chops of the Land Cruiser yet its mated with the luxury you come to expect from Lexus. Can easily take on 300,000+ miles

For the love of God, show some excitement and enthusiasm when shooting a video. Are you on Prozac? Just be exciting! In a car review, we don't care for anyone to be blunted and in the "middle of the road" on opinions... no pun intended!

The only issue with your review is that you only drove it for a week. You should've driven it for 30Yrs (or 400k miles) then get back to everyone here who understands what you're driving way more than you ever cared to. I'm wealthy and won't drive anything else. Get it? Reliability IS Luxury. Comprende? Once us "cheap rich guys" buy one of these, we drive them to and from all the investment properties we own for like 30 years. That's how we afford those properties. These things don't ever break. It's a beautiful beast.

THIS THING IS BEAST...this thing will go anywhere in off roading where mercedes GL i have never seen...as he said not to worry about maintance and quality...of course the 90k is worth spending number on this beast...I love this beast LX

Yeah even a rough driven LX with 150k miles is gonna be more reliable and trouble-free than a Range Rover 50k miles lol

  • @russrote6344

Mercedes and Range Rovers are always in the shop...this guy has no idea what he's talking about. LX is by far best in class and will cost far less than the two competitors mentioned over time...ridiculous....

    • @RumblestripDotNet
      @RumblestripDotNet  Год назад +1

People who buy Range Rover’s in Mercedes only keep them for 2 to 4 years so the whole being in the shop doesn’t matter because they have warranties and loaner vehicles. If you’re gonna buy a vehicle for 20 years and absolutely the LX 570 is your answer.

Really poor review. You give no real definitive opinions. You are too wishy washy.
