I'm addicted to watching your videos! I came across your videos last night around 10pm 'ish, and I was hooked video after video when I realized it was like 4 am. Your videos are so informative, incouraging, and some are funny. You guys have made me realize I don't need a fancy travel trailer with all the bells and whistles to enjoy living on the road. My youngest son (11l and I are planning to buy our own travel trailer and road school while I work primarily online. Thanks guy😊

you could always use the beautiful scarf as a shawl for sun protection over a tank top or maybe a light blanket in the warm places you stay or maybe even a neck pillow in the hammock. Then it becomes a usable item again. :)

Oh I like where your staying at. That view you get while you just can sit and relax in the hammock. The food looks good. And I bet it is so relaxing at night just hearing the river flow. Reminds me of when my husband and I use to drive through wolf creek in Colorado or when my brothers in laws use to rent us a camp site in Az by the river, it was always so easy to sleep at night.

Totally agree with CO thrifting. We split our time btwn WI and CO and when in CO we hit the Carbondale (a bit more pricey)thrift which has THE best vintage, and newer, hardcore outdoor gear and clothes. Bought a first year Burton backpack that all 4 of my kids' fight over for their everyday college use. )I refuse to give it up). Also the 2nd hand store in Edwards is a hidden gem

Thanks for the great reminder of good thrift stores in our back yard!

Some things you might want to try for Camp's eyes:
    1) Thera tears night time gel
    2) Boiron Optique Eye irritation relief
    3) Similasan redness and itchy eye relief
    4) Coconut oil...spoon some aside from a new jar into a sterile glass small jar just for his drops. Can add 1 drop of chamomile essential oil to a rounded tablespoonful and stir well. Put a few drops into both eyes. Soothes irritated tissue. Or use chamomile tea with a pinch of salt added. Or a few drops strained goldenseal root tea mixed a pinch of sea salt. Very soothing. Vet should check for tear production level, eye infection etc. Goldenseal tea also good for external compresses. Distilled water best in all these preparations. Had a cat with no tear production I used these things on.

In summer try good quality linen, linen breathes well and is hard wearing. Maybe hemp fabric would be good too for summer. For winter, there is no substitute for wool and merino is King! Buying quality is the best way to save money because once you satisfied your need for comfort and durability you dont need anything else. There is so many cheap junk out there and it is bad for the environment. Check out the worn clothes in thrift stores; the more used they are the more comfortable they will be and they are made with natural fibres.

You know each piece of clothing you own, who made, what it's made of, what makes it quality. This is the foundation of "minimalism" and you teach this with your actions and words with clarity. When one's action matches perfectly with their words they are said to be "authentic" and when one pursues their hearts desire free of the good opinions of others they are said to be "self actualized" (see Carl Jung). You set a great example darlin, thank you.

If you have a Sears near you that carries Land's End brand it's lifetime warranty. Shop there when they are transitioning from one season to the next to get great deals on winter jackets and winter boots with lifetime warranty. I had bought winter boots rated at -20 degrees for $30 after winter. It's not uncommon to see winter jackets that normally sell for over $100 go for less than $40. Also REI is a great place to shop off season. I bought 2 pair of Keen sandals with the toecaps for half price when I was in Alaska. So I bought 2 pair for the price of one. Keens are super comfortable, well built and durable and they have the toe caps to protect your toes when walking out in the wilderness.

What kind of safety protection do you guys use? (If ever needed) You should do a video like that! If he took the car and went to a coffee shop. What would you do when you're stranded alone in emergency situation? Like a random man walked up to the scamp out of the woods and was acting creepy and refused to leave. If you're alone in the woods it would take awhile for anyone to be able to come help you. Sorry I watch a lot of murder mystery videos on RUclips and a ton of them from the 70s happened in the woods or camp grounds because they are more isolated. What would you recommend doing until help could arrive? Thankfully you have a dog so the barking might scare them off

It’s called an ax! Most people that camp have one. Also, trust your animals if someone really is off, your dog will let you know. Or your dog will not leave them alone, just behaving unusual and not listening to you. Then u know to start making a plan for the worst case scenario. Really, you could use a Bic pen as a weapon. They may also be carrying bear spray as well, since they spend so much time in heavily wooded areas.

I definitely appreciate this subject of the podcast. Seen Hamilton's Pharmacopeia? As far as clothing, I recently spent serious dollars on prana shorts. I swore I would never do it but it happened. I finally realized I'd rather just have good quality stuff that I wear over and over again. Same on the bra subject. I wear them for others, not me. But if you don't wear a bra you have to go around always explaining why you don't like bras and it's just annoying. I love the food part and when you added all that cilantro I feel in like with ya even more! These drone shots you guys are getting of your current site are seriously unreal! I always dig your videos so much :)

Durability of clothing is not just down to brand or sticker price mind you ;) many expensive ones have a lot of really bad weaves and materials as a base.. Learn by touch and sight what is good and what is not. A really good quality cloth might last about 60 weeks of continuous wear and exposure to the sun.. Want to make it all last longer wash and hang it out to dry but hang it in the shade. Airing out clothing between washing also helps cutting on washing ^_^
And if out and about a lot you are probably using uv blocker - makes for nasty stains on clothing - put that to soak in some natriumcarbonate overnight

Lol I only own maybe 5 items of clothing, that I re-sew every time they break. I only buy new clothes when the ones I have can no longer be fixed, then they get used for other things. I've never liked having lots of clothes, not even as a kid, and my clothes are predominantly Rayon. My one and only hat is a hat that was hand woven for me, 10 years ago, out of banana leaves, it's the best most durable thing ever. 😁
