2023 Mini Festa Fiesta! | On30 Open House

- I just got back from the wonderful 2023 Mini Festa Fiesta in Riverside, California. This has become a more or less annual get together with some of the most creative people working in the hobby today. The special focus is on On30 mini and micro layouts, but there were some wonderful models in other scales this year too, including G! The On30 mini layouts featured this year were Gary Beatty's Puerto Borracho, the Pickled Parrot Rum & Transportation Co. (new this year!), the Punta Margarita, Bob Kurner's Typhoon Lagoon, Scott Carter's Cinnamon Creek, Sean William's and Kevin Spady's Wandering Spruce (new this year!), my very own Gruesome Gulch (also new this year), Greg Lorton's Isle Coco, Justin Rasa's Arizona Dreamin' and so much more! Huge thanks agian to Gary and Colleen Beatty for putting this thing on.

Such a great collection of modelers and their work. Thanks for sharing. I wish I could have made the trip from PA with my 3 X6ft Utacolzona Railroad portable layout to share but it's a long trip. Great video to watch again. 👍

Dave, I take it that you and others feel On30 is a great "Fantasy" sized Model Railroad? I love everything you guys do and I think that the On30 Annual (magazine) records and follows You Guy's Philosophy to a "T". This might not be Chris Lane's purpose, he is an individual, so who can say what he really thinks. I'm guessing that he shows you guy's layouts simply because they are so well done. Please don't get me wrong!!! This is not a criticism; but, I wonder where all the fantasy comes from. Wy interests are attempting to build a rel railroad, using On30 as opposed to On3, simply because On3 is priced out of my budget! Thanks for your time and keep up the good work!
On30 is great for storytelling. It doesn't matter if the story you want to tell is real or imagined, just tell a good one.
