Love the fact that even the inside of the coach contains passengers with the clever backstory that fits so perfectly with the rest your masterpiece of a layout. All the wonderful details where you are telling a story with your craft are mindblowingly awesome! :)
I found your channel by chance the other morning while waiting to take my 4am morphine medication I was blown away by the content as it were as if someone had read my mind and built my layout I have subscribed to your RUclips channel and I’m enjoying slowly working my way through your entire back catalogue of uploads I can escape from all my day to day problems and immerse myself into the world of Thunder Mesa absolutely pain free and full of smiles and for that I thank you
I like that rack...reminds me of the bus I rode in Mexico once...had a rack just like that one. I would have probably used a Grandt caboose ladder on the end platform instead of the side ladder though. That's just me. Nice build...just might do something similar....maybe a combine....hmmm, yup, gotta give it a try.
Honestly putting luggage on the roof makes it kind of like the coaches on the Wildlife Express train in Disney's Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Anyone would think it was inspired by that I certainly did at first. I like it to be honest.
Thanks Dave. This video has just inspired me to something I have wanted to do for a loong time. Cut down a couple of coaches. As I have said before, you have a great talent to inspire.
Very nice car and modeling. Two caveats: The mail bag would never be left out unattended by a Postal worker and the truss rods go over a king post(just one) instead of queen posts(two). The mail is required to be carried in a locked room, car, or carried by the Postmaster like was done on the Maine two-foot lines at the end and no mail car available. Even in the laid back west, the mail was sacrosanct. Even a short car like that would probably have 2 lights but you got to save where you can.
Loved it! That's the fun of this hobby for me: doing things differently-the artwork and imagination. Those who disparage freelance stuff and "funky railroading" should be slapped on the mouth with a full scale Shay Steam Engine.
Very nice coach. Where did you find the cheap Chinese seated figurines? I needed some last, but I didn't find anything correct. Ended up reusing and modifying figurines from plastic model kits, which lead me to sculpt my own (but I wouldn't sculpt for such hidden figurines).

Perfect. So perfect that I wouldn't be surprised if a full scale one suddenly appeared at Disneyland in a majestic incidence of life imitating art.

So glad to have you here. That's wonderful to hear.
Oh my gosh coaches like this would work perfectly with thunder Mesa!

Theirs something about a short coach very nice
To the guy with the two young boys that I met on the train from the Grand Canyon to Williams, I hope you found this channel. Happy modeling!
Hehe, who would've thought that a shorty car could have such personality. Makes me think of the "Vacation" movies; that lil' car is on a mission.
that was awesome the music at the end made me feel like I was watching a John Wayne Western!!!

Nice job Brother !!!!
Very nicely done! That is a great little car and no matter how improbable the rack on the roof might be, I like it!

What a great little coach! Thanks for sharing your build process and the brown sharpie trick 😉. Another great video!
Never get tired watching this. Love it.
Another FINE video!! Thanks, Dave!
terrific, love it
will you consider marketing a set of the interior seat as a laser cut kit ?
killer as always Dave!
Dave, great job on the coach. A terrific addition to the layout.
She is a Beauty!
love the cactus

If this was a Federally regulated Railroad. Take a deep breath, this is a fictional themed Line ...
Love it!
That is awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Sweet! Nice build! Love the layout as well. :)

FUTURE KIT?? WITH 3D PRINTING you could do one.
Very cool coach Dave. Great 👍 vid. Very informative, educational, instructive and entertaining!
Looks great.
As usual amazing artistry!
214👍🏻 absolutely amazing 👏👏👏👏👏
What is your smallest radius curve? Great work, love seeing how you did this.
15" radius at Geyser Gulch.
That's looks cool great job.. Why don't you make a combine? I think that would neat small passenger train
Great stuff, have you thought about working for Disney ? !
Very nice!!!!
Very nice coach.

Ebay.
good work
I wonder what it would look like if you did this but with three axle trucks, a super short heavyweight if you will
That there is the funkiest riiii-de in the wilderness!
So do you take the top off to access the light switch, or did you run power through the trucks and didn't show it? Thanks!
Yes, the roof comes off to access the switch.
nice
Do you know what you should do this is kind of a joke but what if you made a movie out of all this
大変参考になりました!
What is the sharpest curve radius on your layout? I am trying to design a shelf layout or small module.
In case you hadn't seen the reply above from a year later: 15" radius at Geyser Gulch.
Dave, What is the radius of that sharpest curve?
15"
