Berlinist Sónar 2019 - 'GRIS Game Live', flamenc fusió | betevé

Berlinist són un grup de Barcelona format el 2011 per Marco Albano, Luigi Gervasi, i Gemma Gamarra. Actuacio al Sónar 2019 presentant el seu àlbum "GRIS Game Live".
Del blanc i negre a una variada paleta de colors. De la foscor i la paràlisi a la llum i la vida. Així és el viatge de Gris, la protagonista del videojoc d’aquest nom que vibra i pren forma al ritme de les composicions de Berlinist. Amb el seu indie emotiu, la banda barcelonina ha dotat d’un vestit sonor a mida del personatge d’aquesta aventura gràfica d’èxit nascuda de l’imaginari de l’il·lustrador Conrad Roset i la tècnica dels programadors Roger Mendoza i Adrián Cuevas. Junts sota el paraigua de Nomada Studio han aconseguit dissenyar un videojoc que, més enllà de la trama, captiva per la seva força emotiva i estètica.
Berlinist ha creat una àmplia banda sonora de 27 temes, plena de matisos, que propulsa Gris en el seu viatge personal. Un treball que el grup va adaptar i presentar en directe al Sónar 2019, oferint al públic una experiència sensorial en què so i imatge es combinen en un nou relat creat per a l’ocasió.
La banda formada per Marco Albano, Luigi Gervasi i Gemma Gamarra expandeix sobre l’escenari, amb sis intèrprets vocals i un conjunt de corda, les possibilitats sonores d’aquest univers de ficció en sincronia amb la projecció de fragments escollits del videojoc. Incertesa, melancolia, por, il·lusió, neguit, esperança… composicions delicades que aboquen als sentiments més profunds, convidant a fer un viatge oníric carregat de bellesa i sensibilitat.
Actius des del 2011, Berlinist ha produït música original per exposicions d’art, aplicacions i videojocs. Amb l’aclamat Gris, nominat a més d’una vintena de premis i guardonat entre d’altres als Game Awards 2019, Berlinist fa un salt en el camí de, com diuen, “somiar amb música i fer música per somiar”.

Gris is a beautiful game but it's also very sad. Overcoming grief isn't easy. I've been struggling to overcome it and I have to admit it's difficult when you lose someone! Yes, you can see the lifeless black and white world! the game showed me that I have to move forward, I hope I can do it when the time is right, I will! But play, it's an art, a beautiful game
