Music from the video game "Ori and the Blind Forest". "Ori and the Blind Forest" is a jump and run game where you control the forest spirit Ori. Gareth Coker has taken up the mood of the forest in his music with many effects. The WDR Funkhausorchester and the WDR Rundfunkchor conducted by Evan Christ performed the arrangement by Gareth Coker and David Peacock on August 24th, 2018 in the Cologne Philharmonie.

both ori games are just pure masterpieces.. to every gamer out there.. if you didn't play them do it now.. even if you didn't play any jump and run games befor.. just do it.. they are just awesome..

Blind Forest is superior, a lot more focused than Wisps. Wisps has a lot of spurious stuff. But both are masterpieces I agree.
I considered playing them
but after playing the _Trine_ series I got used to the immersiveness of 2.5D (3D in a fixed plane) and dont feel like returning to plain old 2D no more

It's rare when truly exceptional games come with equally truly exceptional soundtracks. Ori and the Blind Forest (and later Will of the Wisps) is one such game. Gareth Coker's compositions and Aeralie Brighton's vocals are...truly...stunning!

@michal7x7 Hollow Knight came out after Ori, and not everyone has the patience to get through Hollow Knight. I think it's better than Ori, but Ori is right behind it.
Gareth Coker wrote such a beautiful soundtrack for a f*cking hard game. I bought both games just to see and hear them. I am really not good at playing it but I enjoy it just because of this exceptionell music.
The nice thing about them being difficult is that at least being stuck in an area lets you listen to the music longer. LOL
Best of luck, and remember that it's never impossible to succeed, merely challenging. You've got this.

Absolutely stunning take on Coker's otherworldly soundtrack. Listening to this at work, then 3:48 snuck up on me and hit me like a truck. So so good. Well done to everyone involved!
For me it is at 5:20 when the chorus starts singing “Ori.” Each time it hits so deep, even more that I completed the second game

I’ve listened to this soundtrack for years. And only recently decided to play the games because of the music. I was kinda afraid of platformers, I’m not at all used to playing them and I had a really rough start but now I’m not only enjoying the music but the game as well.😊 Both so lovely beyond description! 💙
The games are strangely intuitive to me, it’s all so fluid and natural, especially with the dynamic music..

You replicated the composer's peace in a way that is new yet respectful to the original piece and keeps the si list structure. Very well done. This game and it's sequel have music that is just breathtaking and I don't understand why it isn't praised more.
I think Gareth Coker actually had a hand in this arangement, so indeed. The game actualyl has had a lot of praise, the sound track won a number of awards, and turned Gareth Coker from an outsider to the industry to an A list in demand composer. I'd love to see him do some film stuff. He's got a good sense of the epic too (See the Ark survival sound track, its huuuuge sounding) which would do well for a marvel type film.
