The 216570 is a no go - don’t need a nautical gauge on my wrist! Totally agree the 16570 is THE classic choice! Gorgeous and understated!
The 216570 is good for people with larger wrists but the 16570 has the ideal proportions.
You sir, are a man of class. Absolutely stunning watch and you showcased it in a great way.
One of my favourite things about this channel is the attention to attire pairing and different combinations. For every watch covered i would love more of recommended attire for different setting and environment, as well as strap options, colour matching..
Thanks for the support and suggestion 🙏🏻
Always nice to watch your videos (watches and Barbour jacket!😁). Also nice to see my beautiful city of Montreal in this video! Cheers!
Thanks! 😃 Glad you enjoy them! I should name the channel Watches & Barbour lol. Montreal is great we love to visit it.
Glad to hear that! BTW we have the same taste… I even own a Vaer watch as my beater! 👍
The 16570 is probably the watch that I will never sell in my collection especially if Rolex never makes a smaller Explorer II anymore. I sold the 42mm 216570 for the 16570, never looked back.
16570 is simply the best 👍 I tried the 216570 and it was a bit too big for my wrist.
I want to get one online but I do not have the chance to try it. Do you think the measures are almost the same as the Air King? Which watch do you think is similar in dimensions? Thank you!!
Great video! My 216570 Polar dial is the greatest Rolex I’ve owned, currently sits next to my 116613LN Submariner, that’s a wrap for me with those two in watchmaking. Sub is iconic two tone makes it dressy and Polar is the greatest watch from any watches imo truly does it all and the Polar is iconic
Thanks. That's a perfect two-watch collection you have!
Awesome review! Hopefully Ill get one soon.
Thank you!
I have to agree. I’ve had mine from new and got one of the last ones in 2012 (3186 movement) I’ve had various watches in this time but I always go back to this. Just had it serviced (£800!!!)
It's cool to have one of the last produced models and yours is with the updated movement too 👍
Daily wearing my 2000 16570 black dial. Love it.
I think that the black version is a bit underrated. It's a beautiful watch.
Absolutely love my 08 example, wear it every weekend
What a great watch.
That watch suits you extremely well, I think. What's the grey coat you were wearing at the start? I really like it.
Thank you! Appreciate it! I am wearing the field coat from Spier & Mackay.
I love the polar ! Stunning !
Could you please tell me the brand of your watch box ?
Thank you! I have two boxes featured in this video. One is the WOLF Windsor 15 piece watch box and another one 3 piece from Guard Dog Inserts.
Timeless time piece!
Thanks Jason. It definitely is. 🙌
Superb video
Thank you!
I first saw one of these without knowing it was a Rolex. It’s the only Rolex I’ve ever really liked and the only one I’d ever buy. The later Explorer 2 is just too big for me so a 16570 would be my likely choice.
Thanks for taking the time for this review - I'm on the "list" for one. I have to say Rolex and their waiting game almost makes me just want to buy another Omega instead.
You probably on the list for the new Explorer II 226570?
