So did Matt Damon just leave right after asking if they wanted to keep playing? Or did he just fold a few hands and leave, making it insanely obvious what they were doing?
Like he said, he could "crack the game just as quickly straight up". If they wanted to keep playing, he would have just continued playing until the game broke and in all likelihood added to his stack along the way. Worm wouldn't mind waiting and would know the drill.
Well, it's pretty common when the obvious worst player leaves a short handed game that the game break and Norton made it so he appeared to be the worst player. It's kind of like "well we got his money, do you guys even think it's worth it to keep playing?"
@@keithmason1485 It's also why the mechanic is the one who should go bust first if there is only 5 or 6 player, yes sometimes you might end up playing for an hour or two, but on average the room kinda goes quiet since the loud mouth left. You will likely play 7 more hands, one of the people at the table will say "shall we call it after one or two more hands" and that's it. However if you are 7 players or more it's better to bust out two players on one big hand towards the end of the night. And if you have already earned enough for the night it's actually best to give one of the nights biggest pots to the person that has seen the least amount of action having neither won nor lost enough so that they can still bust out some people. Making it look like it was an exciting night where the money spread and didn't just go one way. Just make sure you never do something stupid like they do towards the end of the movie where they try to crack a multi table because Worm got bored. I also think that way of treaing the game is really a young mans game, if you are still pulling that shit after college you better have made sure your good enough to even fool other mechanics without any stick out or sound.
Norton's character was slowly giving him cash and pots, and taking from others. The Damon character had to stay around another hour or two, but with a huge cash advantage.

Goes to a $55,0000/yr prep school then two years after graduating from Yale (A legacy--never had to apply!) he gets his first acting job--award winning role in Primal Fear with Richard Gere. Always flush. Never EVER had to worry about money, women, mansions, top cars, and smart as a whip. AND a superb actor. Hate his guts! Ha! And never wrote a comment on a RUclips video either!
Helen Eschenbacher lol is that true? That hate his guts portion of your comment killed me haha. But his bio is that accurate? If it is, i hate his guts too now.
Well a lot of that was sarcastic....as in Why do some ppl have it so easy!? Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ dad was worth $3.4 BILLION! She went to Holtfield Prep Academy, an all girls school at $43,000/yr (but that also included breakfast lunch AND snacks!) Then onto Northwestern where room board, tuition and fees are $68,000 a year! Her dad died last year and left her $3 billion! We Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert all went to Northwestern too! Anyway there are many actors who had extremely wealthy parents. Sigh! The world seems massively unfair at times! But as my mom said: “The only place you’ll find the word ‘fair’ is in the dictionary.” Have a great day! I’m down here with the other peasants on my 40 year old 25’ foot Cal sailboat that I bought for $1500, then renovated it myself and live aboard...totally off the grid.-no electricity or running water!! Ha! Cheers! Helen
Jealousy is an ugly trait. It’s not his fault the family he was born into was wealthy, anymore than it’s the gazelle’s fault that it’s baby gets eaten by a lion. His family made many good decisions in life, which set up future success for future generations. Why hate on it? That’s capitalism. If you hate it so much move to communist China, where everyone is “equal”. Don’t be hateful due to jealousy, though, that’s the worse. If your parents were wealthy and wanted the best schools and clothes and cars for you, I am sure you wouldn’t say no.

I couldn't keep up with there moves
Was it the lingo or the language they were using.... card sharks are interesting people to Google
I had to try
@Fox Ait making a move on the brunette :)
Didn’t try very hard lol
I'm just watching Dr Phil
Can you tell if that’s the truth on that persons face for money?
Hey, Miramax! From the maker of such great products like Harvey Weinstein!
bill and dan rogan
scott and lauries film slogan
mike doug and jody
Worm's character nearly ruined this movie, so annoying and made some unbelievable decisions, and I don't mean any of that in a good way.
8trigrammer and then he just SPOILER...disappears, with nothing on what happened to him
He's perfect in this film
Hated him and hated the girlfriend
@@briandressel1344 also perfect, you're supposed to hate her
Idk i loved edward Nortons performance in this. lol he plays the part so damn well
Johnny fucking Chan
I hate Edward Norton...why? He was born into extreme wealth in a top Boston family. Never worked.
She went to Holtfield Prep Academy, an all girls school at $43,000/yr (but that also included breakfast lunch AND snacks!)
Then onto Northwestern where room board, tuition and fees are $68,000 a year! Her dad died last year and left her $3 billion! We
Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert all went to Northwestern too!
Anyway there are many actors who had extremely wealthy parents.
Sigh! The world seems massively unfair at times!
But as my mom said: “The only place you’ll find the word ‘fair’ is in the dictionary.”
Have a great day! I’m down here with the other peasants on my 40 year old 25’ foot Cal sailboat that I bought for $1500, then renovated it myself and live aboard...totally off the grid.-no electricity or running water!!
Ha!
Cheers!
Helen
Helen Eschenbacher you are so random i love it.
I hate genetics to fuck em
Jealousy is an ugly trait.
It’s not his fault the family he was born into was wealthy, anymore than it’s the gazelle’s fault that it’s baby gets eaten by a lion.
His family made many good decisions in life, which set up future success for future generations.
Why hate on it? That’s capitalism. If you hate it so much move to communist China, where everyone is “equal”. Don’t be hateful due to jealousy, though, that’s the worse.
If your parents were wealthy and wanted the best schools and clothes and cars for you, I am sure you wouldn’t say no.
hahaha not fair 😅
why they glorify coluding? don't understand.
Because they're kind of scumbags and it fits the world of the movie pretty well.
Because, as Canada Bill Jones said "It's immoral to let a sucker keep his money".
Because if you're sitting at a poker table, and you're too dumb to realize you're being cheated, then you deserve to be cheated.
You should watch the whole movie and see what happens to them
They get beaten up for doing it later in the movie
This movie is so hackneyed now
scott makes a movie
doug mike jodis judge judy
spiritual incest
The only thing I hate about this movie is real card players are all about etiquette and playing by the book. Ppl don’t cheat and play dishonest lol that’s a good way to get killed.
I agree but in Worm's twisted logic these guys were nothing but marks. He wouldn't have pulled that slick bullshit at a table with real card players. Hell, he got caught by a bunch of low rent municipal workers later in the movie.
B n C RxR
You are the reason people yell on cell phones in public
caveat emptor buyer beware
Many women were abused during the filming of this movie.
Brandon Matthew waahhhhh

Make america hate again?
Jesus is King. Put your trust in Him, establish a personal relationship with Him, forsake your sins and seek His forgiveness. For His yoke is light and He provides peace even in the worst situations. This life will never satisfy you, material items cannot keep you happy, but Gods love will give you meaning.
God bless you and be safe.
Fuck off lies and propaganda. No one cares about your imaginary friends
I'll get right on that.
This scene is so unrealistic lol. I remember watching this as a kid. U got like 5 guys all in their 20s possibly 30s who are flawless good looking with a full head of hair Hahaha Hahaha. In reality that would never happen. It would be ur typical belly drinking American average dude. Lol what did they pick out 5 guys who can model or Something? Lol
tf are you talking about? I could understand if it was a small stakes game in a seedy casino but it'a a private game with some rich kids as it was explained by Worm.
The unrealistic things in this movie are the ampunts of cash used to buy-in/bet vs. the stakes, lioe.the story Damon tells about playing against Chan.
