I am watching this movie for the first time. Robert Sheffey truly had a powerful calling on His life. We need to serve God in spirit and in truth just like the examples He gave. This movie has touched my heart very much. You never know the path in life you go through until it is revealed to you from the Lord. Such a heartfelt movie. ❤

The world needs more Sheaffys :-) How prophetic when he said about no longer having God in our schools, government, and our homes, this is happening very quickly in our life time. We all need to stand and fight the good fight as a people of God!!!
This movie was worth watching as it was based on a true story of a very good man ! The happy and the sad, but not hopeless as he had a deep faith in God . I found this movie to be very inspiring .

I really liked this movie, but it was the last speech of Mr. Sheffey to the boy that burnt down the campground is what I LOVED THE MOST IN THIS WHOLE MOVIE. Thanks for the upload.

So true. I am methodist, and the division in the denomination is just unbelievable. I get that " times have changed" but the change now is absolutely written in the bible as what NOT to do. I love my church and my church family. Unfortunately our small church can't afford to go it alone, so I imagine we will all split up. The only one in the church that is ok with the lqbtq being at the pulpit is our pastor. He is young and guess is living with the world, not with Christ
This movie is an inspiration to all of us. He kept the word of God, and so should we.

Joyce Henderson’ I read an answer to a similar comment to yours re Thumbs Down by a lovely RUclipsr. Her answer was that a thumbs down still counts for a video watched, so really it’s a plus for the honest youtuber.. Thank God we can still find edifying movies to watch.
In a movie when 'the Lord,' 'Jesus,' and 'God' is referred to in almost every sentence such comes across as obsessiveness and brainwashing, and this quickly becomes nauseating. Most religious fervour is about obeyance rather than spirituality and rarely comprehensively embraces for example equality of life eg. condeming abortion and not eating animals, and even less rarely - giving one's material assets to the poor and suffering. And one cannot ignore its usually exclusive nature with each religion in the main condeming other faiths. Religious zealots often using their religion in order to instigate wars and otherwise persecute, abuse and exploit.
Some of us do indeed try to not only know goodness, but also truly experience and exercise it. Often we feel that such can only be truly achieved by renouncing religion. And by so doing we can resist any pressures to confirm with a 'thumbs up' or whatever that we are towing the fervent line.
May your heart be changed to truly know goodness outside of religious dogma.
So very true, bit by bit we give it back to the world, the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. What a blessing this man of God was. Many lessons to be learnt here. I surrender all. What a friend we have in Jesus, our King.👑

Our faith was not taken away. It was given up bit by bit until nothing was left. Nothing is truer than that.
I had never heard of this Man of God Brother Sheffey before but while still in the movie i googled about him, Its wonderful to know about his life. This movie has Lifted my Spirit so much. May God bless you so much for creating this. May His mantle of love, servanthood and faith rest on many of us in this generation that we may Serve God and love his people with our lives. Amen.

A super movie, based on Gods words and principles. It sure was a tear jerker. 👍👏💟
Wow! What a well-made and inspiring movie! You would never know it was produced by a university, as it was top-notch acting and cinematography. Of course the biography itself could not be more inspiring to us all. Outstanding story. Today my dear friend and neighbor is being laid to eternal rest, who had played the lead violin in the orchestra that did the soundtrack for this film, while he was then a student at Bob Jones University. He is with the Lord now and brother Sheffey, because he knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Sheffey's life is a great example for us all as a true man of faith in God.

Long movie, but worth the time.
I watched this in highschool in the late 1990s. Sheffey's communication with God as if God was on the horse beside him is what has always stood out to me.
I first saw this movie at the home of friends. The husband was part of the technical team in its production as he was at Bob Jones University at the time of it's making. It brought me to tears then and did the same tonight. I look forward to meeting Sheffey in that glorious kingdom of pur Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for posting this movie. I asked the Lord to order the day and He did, with His Word this morning and praise and worship after that. Then He topped it off with this movie just to make sure I had the lesson straight. To God be the glory always.
What a great movie about the truth of God to show the difference between faith and religion and when he told the truth about how we give up our rights to have god in our lives instead of being taking away from us it opened up my eyes because I always thought it was the other way around ; that the government was taking it away from us . sometimes we need to rethink about what we feel. I wish for everyone to see this movie.

A life well lived. God truly answers the prayers of those who will live for him. A very inspiring film. The camp meetings used to part of the American culture. What a wonderful time to be all together in unity and seeking the Lord. The fellowship would have been like a large family reunion. These meetings would have lasted for days. They must have been like Israel used to appear before the Lord three times a year. Seeking God with a sincere heart will be openly rewarded by Him. I have seen many miracles in my life and to see them in another is truly inspiring. I pray that God will raise up men and women that will dedicate their lives to Him and learn to live the exciting life that a close walk with God will bring.

So enjoyed this movie on a Sunday afternoon. The end spoke very much to what we are facing today where we are close to getting our freedoms taken from us even the freedom to worship. This evil Godless govt is pushing us toward the end. Prayers and learning the word of God more important now than ever. Share the Bible and the lives of its Saints along with their history of Gods people and the great love our Father had for us to send His only Son to die for our sins. Worship and give thanks all our lives for His grace while we help others along the way.

Just don't expect improvement in the government to come from only perfect men and women. Not even the Lord's prophets were perfect. Sometimes the inept will prevail but the will not be all evil, just as sometimes the extraordinary will lead - but, they too will have faults. Perfection cannot exist in this life, but striving for perfection can endure until the time of perfection comes - and there will be resistance along with the joy.
Freedoms to worship and to vote are essential to a peaceful, thriving life.
Forceful interference with either or both, can only result in failure and
enmities, never to be resolved.
Like Sheffey said " Christians ( and others) give up their freedoms and let go of their faith in the One True God who gave His Son Jesus to save us from sin. When you ever begin to cave in to the world, to the gov't, you gave up as he said " you give up a part of your faith and trust in God Almighty " and it is hard to get back. By then it is easier to follow the world's rules rather then to Obey God. Lord Jesus may I never turn my back on You and give up my faith in You. I love You Lord Jesus. Thank you Jesus for the gift of salvation and help me to always stand for You and live my life for you. I truly want to see You in Heaven.
