Another little handy trick with brake fluid to stop it leaking, just Jack up the car and push back brake caliper pistons (front 2 should do) the press brake pedal to the floor and lock it down with a dead leg tool or prybar , then you can disconnect the pipes and you will lose feck fluid ! Did this with my mate sport when removing body and with it parked on the lift for about a week there wasn’t one drip of fluid on the floor ......!

These JLR products are just so crap and will never know why people buy them. Even with a new engine this will happen again.
A massive job removing the body and engine and with labour and parts in reality the car is scrap.

Have a 2016 US model. 103k miles. All of a sudden I am hearing a tapping noise on the front passenger side, top area by the valves or injector. No codes or engine lights. One of your videos shows the tappets, guess it’s a common problem on even the newer models? No metal in oil, timing belt and rollers/tensioner look great for the mileage…

Mine has driver side turbo issue can you please advise or make a video if the turbo can be replaced without taking the body off ? It would be appreciated and there are not many videos of tdv6 3.0 turbo replacement as this is a common issue with these , I know few garages replace turbos without taking the body off but don’t know how as there is not much space to get access to the turbo . Thank you

Yes you can do a turbo with the body on, it's tight and fiddly but it is possible. I can only film what comes in so if I don't get a turbo to do then I can't film it. I can't really explain how to do it in the comment section either as it's quite involved.

    Hi mate,
I have been following your videos absolutely brilliant work mate, love it.
I have bought a Discovery 4 from auction, non runner when bought with injectors removed and placed in a box and left in boot. I have managed to clean them and put it together, then found no fuel pressure so removed the tank and checked the pump it's working with direct power supply, apparently fuel pump relay gone so replaced that and low fuel pump started working and engine started but vehicle shaking (not excessively) which I thought injectors obviously, however there is smoke coming from left side (as you refer to) from around Injector 6 through, when acceleration the smoke is building up. Smoke seems to be very minor from right side as well. I have replaced one of the Injector and seems like another one or 2 is bad so hoping to replace those two. Tested all glow plugs all working perfectly fine. It's the smoke that worries me more than anything I wonder where it's from as can't reach to the side unless lift the body apart. No smoke from silencers at all. From your experience can you give some advice or tips please. Much appreciated.
