The chicken looked amazing mate, even the bits that fell in the coals haha. I'd be keen to try some spuds wrapped in tin foil and cooked in that oven. Served with cheese, ham, sour cream, and salsa of course!
Thanks mate. Geez next time you're over this way im putting you in charge of the Tandoor. Haha I know you will have no trouble at all starting the fire. LOL
Looks really amazing but I had to laugh them chicken's falling off 😂😂 I've got the best advice for your cooking mate and I can only Think of just stick with the noodles 😂😂
@@robbiefishing the spud works a treat mate I got a little stand up oven outside I use to cook my roast on a skewer first time used it the whole roast was completely stuffed LOL second time using the spud came out perfectly
It has been a long ass time since I was in school for cooking but I believe meats in a tandoori it needs to be yogurt marinated and the yogurt adds that zing and protects the meat from burning. never actually used a tandoori . if you want to learn tandoori cooking look up ti ka masala, oh ands it helps make fucking amazing breads if you are up for learning
Thanks mate. I watched a guy cook a heap of liver in one on RUclips once. He covered it in Yoghurt, and now I know why. I have never used yoghurt but I now know why some do. Once I get good, then I will worry about getting better. hahaha
Very entertaining Robbie 🤣🤣🤣🤣 drill a hole at the bottom of the skewer put your meat on and then put an R clip through the hole. That will stop the meat falling off 😁 thank me later 👍👍👍
Looks amazing 😁 gotta love a good home cooked meal uve put the time and effort into making yourself. On a side note the last ad i got was from hungry jacks LOL
hahahahahaha How ironic. LMAO I think google must have seen my cooking skills and thought now would be a great time to throw in a take away food add. BRILLIANT!!!!
Hey mate, when you take it seriously, it is an amazing way to cook. I have cook some incredible chicken and rice dishes in here. It's all packet mix flavours with the rice because im a crap cook, but it comes out amazing. I just grab a heap of small dead branches from the Moyhu Timber Reserve when firewood collection is allowed so probably some grey box, red box, apple box and a bit of hill guim maybe. It's justy bits and pieces so I am not really sure. Any wood will do though as long as it's not treated of course.
robbiefishing - Yep looks like a great way to have a beer and cook, keeps the missus happy and me happy at the same time, there are not many things that do both. Where do you buy one from?
LOL What dosent kill you makes you stronger. Ive cooked like that after drinking a dozen Jamesons and falling asleep.😀😁😂😃😄😅😆😉🤔 You might start a new craze there. Just toss the meat into the tandori and drink a can of Jameson. LOL. great video thanks for the shout out for the chest.🍻 cheers my friend. Look after yourself. Dont know how i missed it. Strange one.
I got the impression that cooking wasn’t your forte in the great yabby cooking on the tandoor fiasco earlier in the year! I was going to say you need something on the bottom of the skewer as a clamp.
I've never eaten ribs. Are they any good? Arent they just chops stuck together? I am sure that I could make them taste great... one way or another. LOL
Well it was never supposed to. It was intended you make people laugh during a particularly tough time in my state. Some people would rather be miserable than laugh though.

Robbie, you NEED to get together with the old Mooster again, and get HIM to teach you some bush cooking skills/recipes! That oven is a ripper. DO any meat pieces on those racks. Those skewers are really only for doing things like kebabs or kofta, that will STICK to it! Those boned pieces of chook are a bit TOO heavy to sit vertically on those skewers! Tip:INVEST in a good, cast iron camp oven! Now THAT'S cooking!
Thanks UF. I have spoken to the guy who sent me the oven to my mail time last year and he suggests putting a potato on the bottom of each skewer. LOL I have another idea....
