Thank you, this is exactly what I needed to shorten sleeves on blouses. Very professional looking finished look. Easy tutorial, explained well. I saved it and will look at your other sewing tutorials.
Thank you for this easy tutorial. I had some lab coats that I didn't want long sleeve....I ✂️ the sleeves off. Added a little embroidery trim around it. Looks so lovely!
Hi. I love this video. I've used it several times. Just used it again today. I have trouble finding simple short sleeved mens dress shirts without a front pocket to work in - I perform music and a short sleeved collared shirt is the ticket. I add a diagonal stitch under the arm to tighten the sleeve a bit and adds a little modern style. Your technique is perfect. Thank you for providing it!
I don't know how to thank you, It was my dream to shorten my shirt like this, I tried it myself, thank you for teaching me, thank you very much, best regards.
So happy I stumbled upon this tutorial for shortening sleeves. The shirt turned out so nice! I love learning the easy tricks to alterations by those who know how to do it right!
Thank you so much for this, I have just shortened the sleeves on two school blouses and thanks to your clear easy to follow instructions they came out perfectly ❤
Thank you very much for sharing this technique! Your directions are clear and concise, and this is a very clever way to shorten sleeves and make them look like they are cuffed.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was about to throw away two shirts that were damaged at the elbows, and was able to give them a second life with short sleeves !!!!
Great tutorial. My first visit to your channel, and this explanation was excellent to refresher my memory now that I want to tailor some clothes. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed the tutorial as others did, but when I went to sew the sleeve it bunched up at the seam because of extra material. How do I fix it so it looks finished like your sample?
Watch another video in the "Sewing Techniques" playlist - video "How to Hem a Short Sleeve Shirt - Easy Way". In the video shows how to eliminate such a defect.
Ummmmm, why didn't you turn the shirt wrong-side out and pin to the desired length? You did it completely backward. And then when it's time to sew you wrestled with just a few stitches at a time, stop, reposition the sleeve, sew, reposition the sleeve and sew again. You had a free-arm on your machine that would have made *much* quicker work of that project.
I love that it is straight to the point without the extra yapping by some youtubers. Thank you.
Thank you.
