Chiodos - There's No Penguins In Alaska live

- So I finally decided to tell the story about these videos. This is a video of Chiodos playing in my livingroom about four years ago when they had just put out their All's Well That Ends Well cd. They were on tour and suppose to play at the backbooth and the promoter canceled the show last minute and I messaged them asking what's going on and Craig asked me if they could play at my house because they were desperate. I was like 16 or something at the time so I asked my parents if they could come play a really loud show in our living room and they said sure. So I invited a ton of my friends and when the day came, them and Still Life Projector came over. Chiodos only drove a van then and their air conditioning was broken, so being as though it was September and in central Florida, they were covered in sweat. So since I had a pool, we all jumped in and had a fun time. After that I told a few of them that I had some good pot and so Craig, Derek, Jason, and a few of the guys from Still Life Projector followed me to this awesome place in the woods near my house and we got pretty decently blazed. We all then tried to go fishing and I was the only one who caught anything. After that Still Life Projector set up and played a really good show, I had never heard them before but they're good. After they played, Chiodos set up played this show that I have uploaded. They played 7 songs, very energetic for a living room as you can see. After the show they sold a bunch of merch to my friends and since there was a 3 dollar door charge(lol) they gathered enough money to get to the next show. I still see these guys every once in awhile, not really my kind of genre anymore but they're still cool dudes for the most part even though they've become rock stars. Hope you enjoy these videos.
*In this song Craig reads a snapple fact that relates to the song, pretty funny. Craig still about this bottle of snapple apple hah. Every time I see him he asks about my mom and if I brought him any snapple hahha. My mom was the one who went to the store to get it for him, what an amazing act of kindness I'd say. Видеоклипы
Was our dad's idea to film this. He passed last year. Shoutout to him for making this possible. RIP
RIP. What was his name?
Bro.....
Your dad's a legend
legend, two of the greatest videos on youtube to exist tbh. RIP
damn that made me shed a tear. what a fucking rad dad. RIP
So this is where they came up with "No Hardcore Dancing In The Living Room"
Holy smokes. Damn. The puzzles all connect now.
God damn Jsh need a medal
Jsh B lol
Mind blown
HAHAHAHAHA DAMN THIS COMMENTS UNDERRATED😂
this is literally them in their PRIME. like this is the priceless footage, best version of this song live on RUclips.
FACTS!!!
I come back to this footage every few years. "priceless" is right.
@@AlanMaxey Same here. I listened to it so much I learned the guitar by ear years back. Supposedly there's a different version with a different "Woo" intro?
You’re 100% correct. 🔥
We found them on purevolume before they blew up. Was my dad's idea to film it. He passed last year. Shout out to him for making this possible. RIP
In 1000 years when you find this video oh future archaeologist, know that this was some underground shit
i love that your parents casually said ok to a loud band playing in your livingroom.
At least it wasn't hardcore dancing
We were in a band so this was nothing new to them or our neighbors haha. This def sounded a lot better than we did. Just had PTSD remembering I tried to play avenged sevenfold on drums for their drummer and Craig and I fucked it up.
this was my house. thanks to my dad for letting this living room concert happen. RIP
no one in that room new that this would be legendary...
dude you literally lived a legend of a story, props to your dad for filming this and your parents for letting it happen. RIP
Thanks to RUclips for recommending this gem to me
Damn you can tell this was right when they were done recording they all nailed it beat for beat
Am I the only one who gets chills watching this?
yo you lived my teenage dream in 2006 hahaha.
I cry every time I come back knowing the story. I pray your parents are living long and prospering for allowing this to go down
They're fine thanks for asking
They divorced doe
you know you wish you could beam yourself back to the good ol days.
There should be an award show for parents that are this rad.
This might be one of the best true stories ever
Lol amazing how good craig sounded back then, exactly how it sounded on the album dude, great quality for a living room man
what a fucking awesome experience, props to your parents for letting them play in the house !!
still gives me chills. woulda been the sickest thing ever to get to see this that up close and personal. probably end up partying with them after too
This is from the good old days where no body played to a click and tracked so due to energy from the performance bands played everything faster. These are dark times now -.-
It got darker
@@idontcare2851 very lol
Holy shit, this is so fucking cool. Can’t believe I’m just finding this footage now.
Hey kid! No hardcore dancing in the living room!
Holy shit this takes me back lol this was THE prime man.. I miss these days 😂
Absolutely legendary video and this song has aged like fine wine
RIP Chiodos, i havent heard anything about craig and the band, but this band has always been around i cant imagine music without them
Kids these days just don't understand.
The first time I saw these guys was at a tiny venue in St. Louis back around 2003 called the creepy crawl. I went with a couple friends to see the headliner which I can't remember any more because I only remember these guys. It was the most incredible, high performance show I've ever seen. I didn't know any of their songs but I was immediately in love with their music.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, all their shows on RUclips now that were recorded after 2010 suck, I guess Craig just doesn't have the same voice.
dude, these are like historical, send these to chiodos.
im sure they would love to see em.
Shut the TV Door! total 90s dad move. this video is so great for so many reasons
if this was anyone of my friends houses when we were like 16 that place would be destroyed
tyler danger trust me. It was. But I bet they probably stayed behind and cleaned it up. Lol
oh. my. god.
one of my life goals is to get chiodos to play in my living room before i die.
Been my favorite "screamo" song for over a decade. But ive never seen this video. This 10x better than the recorded version. Sht is insane.
I was 14 on this stamp date. I miss being a kid but not highschool lol. Wild this is almost 20 years old.
this is so great . i love this song and it feels so alive here
This is the best thing ever. Id kill to have something like this happen. The 2010s sucked to been an emo teen lmao.

It's definitely the ceiling fan with the light on that gets me going!
I love it!!!! Might be favorite song of the new year so far ….
This song and setting has the same energy as "Sorry you're not a winner" by Enter Shikari
The subtle thank you at the end 😂

This is so dope man. My boys older Brother had a band called "Fate He Fears" in 2006, and we had a similar situation, but his brother was friends with the guitarist in A Day To Remember at the time, and we threw a massive party, in my friends dads house, that was like 500k house, and they gutted all of the nice Marble, and Granite out of the house, and ADTR came there and played a banging ass 5 song show. There was a mini skate ramp in the house, dudes were doing skating in the kitchen, the house was getting destroyed lmfao. It was a fun ass time that I will never forget.
wow dude thats an amazing story!!! a once in a lifetime experience id say
I like the fact that he's giving out facts for everyone s knowledge xD cool
