While I don't disagree that they were about to blow up during the 3rd wave of Post-Hardcore, we also had fordirelifesake, Bear vs. Shark around that time, too. And a few years later, La Dispute & Victor! Fix the Sun.
Yeah they used to play in this small community center alot when the were still The Chiodos Bros. Little did I know what my14 year old self was moshing and banging my head to would become. Amazing
God, it makes me feel old as dirt at the fact that this was uploaded EIGHTEEN years ago. Please never delete these videos, I love coming back to them every blue moon.
My brother couldn't if he tried. This was uploaded before RUclips was bought out. We can't even access the account lmao. No way to get the password reset
It sounded just as good as the record. Amazing talent. I really wish we got to see more of Chiodos, they had so much potential and were fucking killing it.
My friends had chiodos come play in their living room after something happened at the Venue, can’t remember being this was 14 years ago lol but it was pretty much exactly like this and it was amazing! I remember dude had several bands come play in his big ass living room a lot. Horse the band and sea of treachery were a couple others I can remember off the top of my head. I would relive 2008 again in a heartbeat lol
I love the story you wrote in the description. My dad let me host a few shows in our house, and let band members crash in the living room. I'd wake up and he'd be showing his tattoos off to the bands and making them feel welcome. I love shows like this, nothing like it.
I'm 16, I just like this song for being that nostalgic, I just felt the lyrics, so I'll come back after my graduation of high school , and achieveing my hopes, I'll back,,"2022"
(18-7-2024) Hmmm I just finished highschool yesterday, I don't know How to feel , I supposed to be happy but I'm extremely worried about the results, I'll be a failure, or I'm already a loser, I did so bad on chemistry exam that I think I'm not gonna even pass it, there's no fullmark I'll see , I'm damn sure, idiot like me never do that, I can't even make my own dream come true....
Brings back so many memories from back in 2004-2005. First saw them in a church basement in 2004, then same place different stage, cd release show at a coffee shop for Alls Well, then in someones backyard. Wish I had video of some of that, someone probably does. Good times!
We found them on purevolume before this album came out. We didn't know they would get so huge when my brother reached out to ask if they wanted to play at our house. While craig and I were hanging out he got a call from Anthony Greene about singing in the sounds of animals fighting. That's kind of when I got the feeling they were about to blow up.
I may not be a fan of their music, but these guys rule. While not touring, they came to a bunch of my brothers parties (we live in michigan). Smoked down, chatted, etc. Watched the guitarist own face at guitar hero the first time he picked it up. Good times all around.
This is awesome. I did the same thing with an up and coming band called The Ongoing Concept a few years ago... They didn't play at my house, but we all got really wasted. I love these experiences.
They were really nice guys. Anthony Greene called him at some point and talked to him about being in the sound of animals fighting while he was sitting with me in our dining room.
man i watched this video when i was young and got fuckin lit off it. Thats cool as fuck watch a performace in a house and now im reading the story how it all came to be.. fuckin awsome experience and big ups to your parents for letting that shit go down.
I saw chiodos at the “darkroom” in Baton Rouge in 2006, growing up at that time was AMAZING. Just watching this video, I’m 18 agin, it’s 2006 and I’m standing on the side of the stage NOT hardcore dancing because I hated that crap😂
just for the record im a VERY big chiodos fan and all of you guys are saying "this was before they were famous" and stuff like that ..well news flash...they still arent really famous, they are somewhat, but not on the level they should be! its up to us hardcore chiodos fans to spread the music...share chiodos with your other friends, create more fans! i was like the first person at my whole school to hear about chiodos, like 3-4 yrs ago, and i created at least 100 fans alone, spread the word!!
6*...shit this is a classic song n a sick video...I bet that guys pad was all f***** up once those people left n chiodos too...but thanx for the upload o n how can u not know how old u were...shit I know how old I was when u went to my first show n I deff would of known how old I was when a band came to my pad to play...peace.

Physically I’m in 2024 - mentally, I am here

2024 is stopping in to say thank you for this video. Simple times…

💯
This is the awesomest thing I've ever heard of. Having rockstars playing in your living room is everyone's dream.
Immaculate. Perfection. I didn't know I had any dopamine left in my brain until I had the good fortune to revisit this video
Hey hey hey! No hardcore dancing in the living room damn it!
