Hello Steve. This has been the most helpful video I've seen on the OTG cast to date. Others have been very good as well, but the way you have broken down into three distinct stages just connected better for me. "It's really just that simple". Thanks, Sam.
Great vid like always mate. You ever thought about a tips vid on moving on from a South African cast to a pendulum on how one would make the transition I know that’s my difficulty
excellent instructional video. I use an even more simple version, but this looks powerful, good for fishing. The idea is to get distance and power without developing rotator cuff damage. That's my goal, at least.
Hi Steve, thanks for this video really useful I will try and add a step round to what passes as me casting. Could you do one for a fishing pendulum help us mere mortals a bit. Just one thing I have been using Autogylm extra gloss polish, which is a sealer not a polish, cloth on leave 30 mins a buff.and buff I use two coats really puts a good finish on. I don't work for them if I thought it was crap I would tell you. Stay safe mate, oh if you need a butt section for that icon light guess who broke one. Cheers David
Puse en práctica tu experiencia este verano acá en la.costa atlántica buenos Aires argentina y la verdad me resultaron y mejoraron mi técnica muchas gracias saludos desde argentina !
Akios reels are re-branded Omoto reels (tfgear reels were too), in the same way sadly that abu and penn reels are now simply rebranded "pure fishing" made in china garbage 🗑
Hi pal. Wondering if you are able to do a video of the full cast you do where you spin the lead in a full circle before letting it fly. Hope all is well now lockdown is easing 👍🏻💪🏻
Hi Steve great videos as always, have you ever used fixed spool for casting and if so in your option what would be ? I’m currently using Shimano Ci14 1400 ultegras but looking at the new Yuki Amg range.
djrmonix akios make a good multi however not great reports on our coast line,Yorkshire coast very thick clay in places. Shimano are ok however normally only get about 2 seasons if I’m lucky. Still need a good chuck to reach the fish in certain places . Moved from multi to very thin braid to able to retain bait quality when pendulum. Started to adopt your style as I think it’s better for the bait no so harsh.
I'm not really too familiar with those but KWAG's seem quite popular and do both fixed and multi I think. I always just use pacbay minima 4's for casting and fishing. Not too expensive, light and no inserts to break.
Thankyou, I feel this will help me alot, new to surfcasting. One question, might seem obvious to most but not me. When preparing to cast do you have your reel facing sky or ground? I currently cast with my reel to the sky but not even sure if this is correct. Thanks from NZ.

Brilliant tuition video. Could you advise the distance you have between your hands when you grip the rod please. Many thanks.
Check this video and fine tune from there

very good thank you. that was very well explained. will help me a lot. Thank you.
Do you know anything about Omoto reels? I heard they make the Akios and are priced better. Thx and keep your videos coming.
I dont know much about them but I have seen on facebook a lot of good casters in the USA using them so they must be pretty good!

I have a daiwa emblem 5500 i use for 18g plug but might give it a go in the likes of 100g etc in the future. Much prefer casting multis
The akios airloop r8 and r10 seem great and good value for momey.

Great video, though I spent more time looking for the 'tache problem than looking at the OTG
Ha ha! Slip of the shaver
Great video stevie thank you
Would you use a drain pipe on the beach????
Mr Steve I need some opinion from u, which guide should I used for multiplier, BMNAG, BKWAG or KWAG for casting and fishing usage. Regards Ewan

@@djrmonix OK thanks Mr Steve
@@djrmonix Agree with Minimas! Great guides

Fixed spool reel reel be facing towards sky, but a muliplier reel with revolving spool the opposite
@@djrmonix appreciate the fast reply. Can't wait to give it a crack. Cheers mate 👍
Thx coach. 👍
In interested in that zziplex rod. How can I get one without reel seat? I just want to use a coaster like the one you have.
Just get the rod builder to do it with shrinktube and coasters. Or buy a blank and do yourself
Very good your videos, could I do a pendulum launch tutorial? Greetings from Barcelona
I will when the situation improves!
have you won any casting titles Your looking good
Just local at the moment. Ulster (northern ireland) champion 3 years in row but need to prove myself on a bigger stage.
@@djrmonix Well done mate Keep it up You got the tools eh I like watching you and Three times ulster champion that's the nuts mate
Thank you.how do I improve accuracy
