    I have had a Silhouette machine since 2013 and I love it but still learning new tricks. The drag and drop into a shape with patterns that are not in the Silhouette library was new to me. I have things I have gotten free or from Etsy shops and this will save me a lot of work resizing them. Thank your for all you do to support this machine and our hobbies.

    I have so many patterns from my digital scrapbook days! Love being able to drag and drop!

    Great tutorial Elly. I much prefer utilising them directly from the Patterns folder in the Library - much easier on the eyes than going to the Colour Fill panel :)

      Thank you! I do prefer that or the split screen, but even split screen gets a bit much on the eyes, especially when viewing my entire collection.

    Thank you for this video. I love using patterns! I have tons of my own in the library. I have been working offline, and it keeps letting me add more, even though I'm sure I'm over the 5 GB. I also cancelled my Silhouette Club, so I'm sure I'm way over. I was at 4.8 GB last time I was online. So my question is... if I use the program online and the library syncs, what will happen to all of the ones that are over the amount I'm allowed? Would I still have access to them if I go offline again? I wasn't sure if I got extra space with Silhouette Club. Perhaps I need to sign up again.

      5 GB is what comes extra with the Silhouette Club or the Silhouette Design Store Subscription.
      If it tries to sync and you are over the cloud storage amounts, it will give you an error and the library will not sync properly. That will not be anything to do with the website issues, but in general what happens when someone is over the limit.
      I would not recommend adding patterns to the library at this point since you are close or over the limit.

      Thank you for your prompt response. So is there any reason I actually need to sync my library? And if not, would I be able to use it offline and add as much as I want? I think most of my items I've purchased or got for free have synced, so I could use them offline, correct?

      @@amyb2593 if you ever want files to sync from the Silhouette Design Store or your files to be backed up to the Silhouette server.
      I would not recommend storing anything in the Silhouette library while working offline, especially right now.
      If it were to ever try to sync, you might end up with a big, big mess that would take forever to figure out.

      Ok, thank you. Looks like I'd better sign up for Silhouette Club again then, because I know I had 4.8GB before I added more. I hadn't received any of the Silhouette Club files since May, so I cancelled it last month.

    • @SilhouetteSecrets
      @SilhouetteSecrets  2 месяца назад

      @@amyb2593 you won't get more storage as you are at the top of the limit. 5 GB is the total you get with a Silhouette Club membership or a Design Store subscription.
      Silhouette Design Store files that sync directly to the library do NOT count towards that storage. Only files that you add to the library.

    What do you suggest for printers that are 8.5x11 and not 12x12 using a pattern that has a design in one corner

    • @SilhouetteSecrets
      @SilhouetteSecrets  2 месяца назад

      I am not sure I understand the question.... If you only have the capabilities to print Letter size, then you can use that. You can draw a shape of any size and fill it with a pattern.
      Your limits would be set by your printer capabilities.

    • @znico788
      @znico788 2 месяца назад

      @@SilhouetteSecrets If the pattern is 12x12 and you drag the corner to fit either the length or the width of your page then you have to either elongate the pattern or widen the pattern but if you have a design in the pattern it will make it distort This is especially noted when you have a design in one of the corners, say a bird. I have used the rectangle shape tool and dragged to make 8.5x11 rectangle and filled the space, it's ok but design still looks funny. All over patterns is not a problem when there is not a design such as cats etc in the pattern

    • @SilhouetteSecrets
      @SilhouetteSecrets  2 месяца назад

      @@znico788 if you drag and drop the pattern or fill the shape with the pattern, it should adjust and not be distorted. It should fill the shape. Then you can adjust as needed with the advanced options such as pan and scale.
