  • On this adventure we'll be exploring Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. This park was the host of two World's Fairs in New York City. We got lucky at the end of the tour because the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. We also get a sneak peak of the diorama of New York City inside the Queens Museum.

Fantastic! My Mom attended the 1939 Fair only once; in 1964/65 she made sure we had several chances to see the Fair as a family. It was absolute magic!

What a beautiful day for this tour! I was at the World’s Fair in 1964 (9 years old) and only remember It’s a Small World.

I was at the 1964 fair. AT & T had a picture phone of the future. You were going to be able to talk and see the person at the same time…FaceTime!!!!!

I felt really ancient when you said you didn't remember the 1964 World's Fair, as I was there! Don't remember anything about it so great to hear your commentary. Can't believe it is that hot in NY.

Oh wow. The 1964 fair was before my time. However, the last time I was at Flushing Meadow was for a dragon boat race in a very hot August! Such memories! ❤

I always appreciate how much work can you put into these! I really loved the Unisphere and Patrick pointing out that the blue skies filled in the empty spaces of water, so cool. ALWAYS do the hopscotch 😂❤!
