Useful tip: Give it till Christmas break before you decide if you like university or not. That gives you enough time to get a feel for the uni/course/city x
i hope you had the best time in portugal!! alsooo LOVER IS OUT ON FRIDAY IK THIS IS SO IRRELEVANT BUT IM SO EXCITEDDDD SO whatever lol 😂😂❤️❤️ can't wait to watch xxx
I’m going to uni in September and I’m nervous but also very excited! I’m staying in halls on my campus and I’m on group chats for my course, freshers as well as halls and my flat and it’s honestly helped so much to get to ease my mind and am definitely less nervous about meeting people as they’re more friends than strangers rn (even tho I’ve never met any of them!)
I come from just outside london with lots of green spaces to do my sport(triathlon) but a bit worried that leeds as a city doesnt have safe roads to cycle or enough green space other than the 2parks. Any ideas?
I live in Leeds and I reckon that you'll be fine. My parents have cycled to work every day for the past 20 years and have probably only had 2 or 3 little accidents. There are also a lot of parks if you're willing to travel outside of the city centre. And I think theres a lot of running events ??
This video was really helpful in terms of getting to know your flat mates cuz even though I am in a chat with them I am still a bit apprehensive about meeting them love you Molly ❤️
literally everyone on youtube is like WOO YEAH UNITE STUDENTS and I'm like huns... its so hard when you're not in unite I've had to join so many facebook groups everyone in my accommodation is like *please is anyone in my flat* its a mess lmao
Hiya im going into 2nd year 6th form and have to make a decision whether i want to go to uni but idk if i should and if i will like it or not, do you have any advice? I really like your videos btw!! X
Amy Norris you can get it posted to your flat, it will be delivered at the unite reception and then you need to show your student ID to them to collect it x
I’m going to uni in 20 days and I’ve talked to a couple of my flat mates but I feel like it’s just gonna be so awkward meeting them irl because we’ve already done the small talk over messenger and I’m the worst at making/keeping conversation ughh
I’m doing a foundation at a college and there’s no campus so we all have to travel in I’m so sad they don’t have a gc for people doing the same courses
Yess you do have to pay but I think it varies depending on which city you’re based on, you can club together and do washing as a flat and put stuff in together which makes it cheaper too!!
Just a Diamond Girlllll, Unite scammed pretty much half of the people in my old building into paying more than we should’ve! Luckily I got it sorted after months of problems, but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone... despite all of the good online reviews aaaaa
Its all well and good saying "making plans and keeping yourself busy cures homesickness" but its made much harder by not having money to participate in peoples plans of going out. Much easier to make plans and distract yourself when you have all that youtube money
This isn’t the case at all - most freshers events were free and easy access, often I just went for walks or for a coffee or a tea with friends from my course, literally nothing at all to do with money.
Seriously? She literally gives ‘going for a walk’ as an example? It can be anything just meeting up for a drink with friend which can cost £2 in Wetherspoons
@@MollyThompsonx_ Freshers events may have been free, but throughout the year money really does become an issue Personally, getting minimum student loan, no parental help and no luck finding a job (no matter how hard i tried) my university experience hasn't allowed for any leisure spending, making homesickness a real problem due to not being able to make plans that fill more than an hour (like a walk)
@@TheSophie28320 Try getting minimum student loan, no parental help and spending literally all of your loan on rent Yeah walks can be plans, but when thats all you can afford to do, it can be a little boring doing that every day to distract yourself

I’m just so so nervous about making friends in general!! Ahhhh

Thank you for making this video! So nervous for next month, but I know everything will fall into place 😊✨x
Good luck!! You’re gonna be just fine💗💗💗
This was so interesting! I lived at home for Uni so I'm always intrigued about what the alternative is like ❤️
What are you doing now that you’ve finished your foundation degree?😅
I’m moving into a unite students flat and none of my flat mates have the app, so I haven’t spoken to any and it’s kinda even more daunting:(
Natalia Jones my flatmates have the app but no one has spoken on it and I’m too awkward to be the first person
This could be so useful for people who just starting uni
I'm proud of you for still finishing the course❤

Hiya im going into 2nd year 6th form and have to make a decision whether i want to go to uni but idk if i should and if i will like it or not, do you have any advice? I really like your videos btw!! X
Omg I’m from Yorkshire and my birthday is 20th October!!
Ily x
Did you get along better with friends on your course or accommodation? X
Guys I know it’s a stupid question but do you have to attend all the days for induction week or can you just attend some
I’m living in unite accommodation for Bristol in September, can you get post straight to the accomodation or is it better to get it posted home xxx
Amy Norris you can get it posted to your flat, it will be delivered at the unite reception and then you need to show your student ID to them to collect it x
Good video 📹 👍 👌 👏 🙌 😀 📹

I absolutely hated my flatmates in 1st year but luckily had a close knit group of coursemates !! Now I’m going into 4th year 😭
Why did you do a foundation year ?
Love you
I’m doing a foundation at a college and there’s no campus so we all have to travel in I’m so sad they don’t have a gc for people doing the same courses
Awh no have you tried looking on Facebook!!?
Beauty Spectrum I went on the college face book but it doesn’t post stuff about that
So did you do the first year at uni then leave? X
No she did a foundation course which is a year between ur a levels and undergrad
I'm with unite students this September for my accom too, I was wondering do you have to pay to wash and dry your clothes?
K 18 you do have to pay for both separate, or I did with unite students anyway :)
lisa price ohh okay thank you! And is it expensive?
Alex Corfield I'm scared now 😶
Yess you do have to pay but I think it varies depending on which city you’re based on, you can club together and do washing as a flat and put stuff in together which makes it cheaper too!!
I had to pay £2.80 for a wash and £1.50 to dry. The machines were bigger than ones at home though so you can fit a lot in them
What was a common source of disagreements / arguments?
Cleaning the kitchen lol
Advice: Read the reviews before deciding to go to unite students or any other accommodation provider
Wow we have the same birthday! Lol
💕
I wish Unite Students was available in more cities 😔✨

I’ve watched this before
Firstt💕
Why aren’t you a student in Leeds anymore? xx
She only done a foundation course that was 1 year long 💫
My course was a foundation year:)
Beauty Spectrum Will you be going on to do a degree or further study? Xx
