Four HDMI inputs are ready for video cameras, computers, Blu-ray players and other sources. Utilize professional compositing effects like picture-in-picture and keying effects. Controls are simple and laid out intelligently, and you can even control the V-1HD remotely via USB or MIDI, with the software control app for Mac, PC and iPad.

It would be nice to have a firmware update to be able use the USB to PC for live streaming, like the newly announced Roland VR-1HD.
good price but seems a little basic, it would be nice if the companion software could add some additional features such as media playback and graphics, and send that out to the mixer over the usb connection - would make this much more competitive with products like TriCaster and even software-only solutions
We have audio coming in via RCA from our mixer. Its coming into our Roland V-1HD. When audio comes out of the Roland V-1HD, does it come out of HMDI? Or when you come in with RCA, is the only audio out option RCA (and not HMDI). We really want HDMI out for audio because the our is going into our YOLOLIV YoloBox.
were can i get a list of compatible cameras, media players and other play sources for the roland v-1 HD?
I am not having any luck with lower third........I have both selected, one red and one green....however when i press the effects button they both change to red....in your example they don't.....

Please assist. My V1 HD is not responding. Three of the inputs are blinking in red and I cannot control the machine. It also does not give any outputs.

Anyone know how to capture from HDMI into Mac? Roland suggest HDMI to USB converter but I don't think such a thing exists. Got a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle but it works as well as a cheese sandwich would

Hey, Marco. Thank you for reaching out to Sweetwater. The Roland V-1HD is a professional switcher that can be used for any size gig. The only thing to keep in mind is the amount of input and output sources you need, as it is not expandable. This switcher is made of very rugged materials and is a fantastic option for all your gigs.

@@dan3510 Recently the Assassin had problems. I have the Ninja Flame which is amazing and pretty much the same. The Blade, I have not seen, yet.
How long of the HDMI CABLE can i use with the mixer. Thank uu... i want to use it in the church... as you know the church is a big space.
If you can convert the HDMI to SSD, it can go a couple of hundred. Straight HDMI, it could work but you'd be playing with resolution/signal fire.
How to RECORD FILES???
Software: OBS seems to be the way, though I fear I have not mastered it. Hardware. The Atomos Ninja Flame or Assassin. It_is_golden. The files are reeeeeeally large, though but are not hard to shrink. If I have one too big, I have a copy/paste 123 app or program used to convert DVD's into mp4s and it does other files as well.

Depends on the camera. Most take an HDMI to mini or micro HDMI connection.
I own one, and I’ll say it’s overpriced for what it is. Can’t wait to replace it
